"Dormiens vigila, my owlets!!" ("Sleep with vigilance, my owlets!!")

- Okay... so she's actually, really hard to take seriously, because she's usually all YouOnlyLiveOnce, and throws caution to the wind. She's messy, and acts like one of the trainees- she enjoys teasing them littluns. While most other choreographers are strict- she's easy to get a long with, and is incredibly helpful. You know how she fools around during training/practicing, even procrastinating at time cause she can't help but just want to roll around- and sometimes even comes lates but goes with the excuse that: "An old lady was crossing the road so I had to help!" or even "A black cat crossed my path so I had to take the longer route." But even being late, she'd chirp and chirp- and give them some ridiculous choreography to master- some are plain embarrassing, some are too difficult- and trainees would be frustrated because they think that she doesn't take them seriously, but honestly, it's her way of testing to see who are actually dedicated. By the end of the year, she cheerfully kicks out half of the class. Higher ups complain about it, but she cleverly points out that the trainees remaining are all the jewels they need.

"You know my dear owlet, all you need to do is crede quod habest et habes." ("You know my dear owlet, all you need to do is believe you have it and you do.")

- Did I mention that she was completely bonkers? A lot of the older trainees who know her methods, actually fear her and respect her. Daeyoung is also, ridiculously flamboyant and charismatic- so instead of cowering away, they can easily talk to her for pointers on how to fix their dancing- and Daeyoung has no problem with helping. She's always happy to help. She loves getting along with her students- and actually enjoys teaching itself. She's closer to most trainees that she's quite the fountain of secrets and is always open minded to hear other problems- though she jokes that it stresses her out even more than she already is. Whenever a kid trainee is in tears, she has little sweets and snacks- being the glutton she is, and is always ready to give pep talks to cheer them up. She enjoys flirting with them- and making them feel beautiful, and stuff. She doesn't understand the definition of personal space if she knows you're having problems. 

"Is that what you thought? Mea culpa. Heh." ("Is that what you thought? My bad. Heh.")

- So far, Daeyoung seems like a slob, and like- how the hell did she even become such a prized choreographer if she procrastinates on those routines, and is always absentminded- and doesn't listen to the higher ups? Daeyoung is clever. No no, she isn't a Mary Sue. Let me explain, she's ridiculously hyper and fun- that people don't take her seriously- but there's something so charismatic- her brightness- that just draws people to automatically listen to her when she decides to sparkle brilliantly. Even though she procrastinates, she does work hard on the choreographies she makes- and is incredibly dedicated to making sure that the idols of Woollim have amazing stage presense- especially Infinite. She has her moments of seriousness, when she's making choreographies late into the night- all alone in the building, or when she gives her pep talks- she takes those seriously. She's stubborn too- she's incredibly picky, in reality- and actually is the reason why Infinite is 100% in synch in dancing- because she'll bite them if they mess up. When she easily kicks out trainees- come on, she's really difficult to please, and while she might not look it- but she expects only the best from everyone- and keeps people on their toes. She can see that glitter of a diamond in the rough, and she cleans it- nurtures it, so that it can sparkle blindingly.

- She snorts. I mean literally- when she's laughing too hard, and she just snorts. It's disgusting, and unladlylike- but she'll just keep laughing anyways.

- She's pro at Latin when it comes to swearing and quoting. Like when someone doubts her talents she'll smoothly go: "Aut inveniam viam aut faciam. I shall either find a way or make one." or when trainees start getting depressed cause they can't get the dance moves right- she'd go: "Confragosa in fastigium dignitatis via est. It is a rough road that leads to greatness, my dearest owlets." 

- Her favourite animal is the owl, so she usually calls the trainees or idols who practice under her as owlet. Owlet is like, a term of endearment in her mind. 

- She walks around with her eyes closed- as in swear- she's grinning so widely 24/7 that her eyes disappear already. 

- A lot of trainees have a huge crush on her- and while at times it's really obvious, she never notices it. 

- She has an unhealthy amount of stuffed toy owls at home, and she's given them all names. 

- Her hair is always dyed in crazy colors, and sometimes- she uses Kool Aid when she's dip dyeing her hair- so it smells like fruits and all. She also enjoys trying out crazy hair stlyes- and recently she's stuck to shaving a side of her head, and having the rest of her hair in a bright neon shade- along with matchin highlights. 

- She actually has no interest in being an idol, but prefers to simply dance in the background, and choreograph.

- When she left SM, she went back to the Philippines to finish college at the University of Asia and the Pacific- she eventually graduates Bachelor of Arts, Humanities. 

- She actually loves drawing, reading books, studying history and learning about philosophy- I did say she was secretly deep, right? She learned Latin- or at least the basics, then. 

- She's fluent in the language of the flowers.

- When she gets frustrated- and she's muttering to herself- DO NOT BE FOOLED- she isn't speaking Latin, she's simply speaking gibberish.

- She's called Woollim's Cinderella, because she trips around the office a lot- and she usually loses her shoe. 

- She adores the anime Naruto, and actually has all the manga volumes, from the first one- to the current latest volume. She's followed this anime since she was 11, back in 1997. 

- She has plenty of fanboys amongst Woollim trainees, and actually- some Inspirits have started to recognize her as one of Infinite's choreographers.

She was born in the Philippines, to a supposedly- completely normal, happy Korean and Filipina couple. Eventually, her father was able to convince her mother that they move to Japan- simply because, her father would often go to that country for his job. Daeyoung lived in bliss- and was loved. She was never sad, or upset in her childhood. It was perfect in all possible ways. Nothing significant happens in her life, until a sudden bright trail runs across the sky- and in 1997, at 11 years old- she picks up a colorful looking book and begs to buy it. It was Naruto. There was something about the adventures that Naruto would go through, that Daeyoung sought to find in her own life. She was looking for the brightness- that thrill, that adrenaline, and she would become a restless child- until her mother found a way to help her with this restlessness, and introduce her to dancing. Oh- how Daeyoung loved to dance, skip- whirl, she loved the dance classes, and ate all the lessons up quickly- leaving nothing behind. It provided her with some sort of thrill- when she danced in front of people- and they cheered for her, and she knew she wanted to stand on stage and run on adrenaline. And she wanted to share these burnin' feelings. 

So when she heard that SM was having auditions when they came for vacation in Korea in the year 1999, she would beg and struggle- until her parents gave her their consent, and watched her go in and out of those doors- beaming the most brightly. She was a trainee. But unlike trainees- she didn't exactly want to be an idol. No. She just wanted to dance on stage in front of an audience- and feel the thrill of life. It's really simple. It was in SM, that Daeyoung would share these feelings with a Kwon Boa. The two became inseperable, and when Boa eventually debuted- Daeyoung was present as a back up dancer, cheering her best friend on from the back. She would also meet the members of Super Junior, and forge strong bonds with them- that she would also participate as a back up dancer, and dance partner with the boys.

It was all good, she was very- very happy, until one day her father called her to visit him, and she found out, for the first time, that he was very, very sick. He told her that, he knew, she loved dancing, and that it was her life- but he asked her to listen to him, and an old man's pitiful desires- he asked her to go to college. She struggled with the sudden drop of the news, and later on- her father's death. She was- confused. She knew that she couldn't dance forever, no- eventually, her youth may wither and she realized exactly why her father asked her that. To fulfill her father's last request, she decided to leave SM- causing BoA and the members of Super Junior to be deeply upset, though she did promise to keep in contact with them. 

Daeyoung returned to the Philippines to continue her studies- just after Super Junior steadily started rising in terms of popularity- and while she remained in constant contact with BoA, she wasn't able to speak to SuJu as often as she'd prefer to have. In 2009, while on a vacation in South Korea, Daeyoung would see an audition flier for Woollim Entertainment- knowing that she already did graduate- she could continue on with her desires for now, she went on pure instincts alone and auditioned- not to be an idol, but as a back up dancer and choreographer.

She would later be put in charge for the choreography of Infinite.

Why » 'Cause when she was in SM, she and BoA were trainees together. Even after Daeyoung decided to leave the entertainment world, the two stayed in contact- BoA would often gush about how grateful she was for SM- so Daeyoung knows that BoA will need her the most when everything around her comes crumbling down. BoA was upset that Daeyoung had left, but nevertheless- the two have a strong bond. 
BACKUP GROUP » Super Junior
Why » So back when she was still in SM, she would often dance with Super Junior, in fact- alongside Hyoyeon, she was one of those female dancers who can join male dance classes. When Super Junior debuted, she was among those chosen to be their official back up dancers. Needless to say- they grew real close, to the point SM- beng paranoid, assigned her to work with SHINee. When she had decided to leave SM, SuJu especially did not want her to go.

scene requests » A trainee would ask her if she's dating anyone, and she'd pause and say "Date!?" and then blush heavily, and literally swoon- and fangirl, and the trainees are bein O.o and she's gonna start blabbering how warm her hubby was last night, and how he's so cool, quiet, and mysterious, and he's always listenin to her and everything and yeah- then people would start rumors that she's pregnant, and married- but being the oblivious weirdo she is- she doesn't even know about the rumors herself. xD
