☼ Jun is of pure Korean descent, but he was born in Japan and spent his childhood there. Jun was born on October 23, 1995 in Yokohama, Japan to upper middle-class Korean parents. His mother is a commercial real estate appraiser, his father is a successful investor, and he has one younger brother by the name of Joon Seok (18 years old). While residing in Japan, he attended Yokohama International School and became really interested in the music classes that they offered there. By the age of 12, Jun had developed both a deep love of Japan and a deep love of music. He decided that he wanted to further his musical education and maybe even pursue a musical career – much to the chagrin of his skeptical parents. They wanted to him to focus on his academic studies and have a backup if his music career fell through, but they eventually allowed him to start taking private vocal and piano lessons. He immediately took to the vocal lessons and fell in love with the piano, excelling at both. A year later, his mother was transferred to a bank in Seoul, South Korea and the family moved there. Jun also had to transfer to Hanlim Multi Art High School, which was when he got into K-POP. Three years after moving to South Korea with his family, a 15 year-old Jun was told about an upcoming audition by his and decided to take his chances by trying out for Sunshine Entertainment. He was accepted into Sunshine Entertainment and trained for 4 years. During this time, Jun became interested in rapping but decided to stick with his first passion of singing. Jun was applying to Korea University of the Arts under vocal or instrumental music – which his parents are still skeptical about – when he found out that he was going to debut in Delta.

☼ What are you most lacking in?
- Honestly speaking, I'm not the best dancer. I'm decent at it but it is definitely NOT my best attribute. I knew that dance is an integral part of being an idol, so I made sure that I was at least proficient at it. However, my main interest will always be singing.
☼ What are your biggest concerns regarding your debut or being an idol?
- I'm most concerned with how people will respond to my debut. This includes my family and friends, as well as the entire K-POP universe. I'm hoping to get a positive reaction, especially from my parents, but I goes we'll just have to see how that goes...
☼ As for concepts, which most interest you and which do you think best suit you?
- Well I can't be sure about what concept would best suit me, but I have been told that I'm adorable so maybe a cute concept? *chuckles* I don't really know. I've actually been kind of wondering how I would look with a y, mysterious concept. I wonder if I could pull it off...
☼ How would you handle a crowd which seemed uninterested in your performance? If the crowd was mostly antis?
- It would hurt to be so blatantly ignored and / or hated and I won't lie about that, but I would never show it. I would just smile, shake it off, and continue to do my best during the performance. I worked really hard to debut as an idol and I won't be deterred by a crowd of antis. I'll just have to work even harder to turn them around.
☼ Out of the senior idols in the industry, who do you look up to?
- Well, I really look up to EXO sunbaes. They seem to be pretty cool people and all 12 of them brought themselves through some hard times recently. I respect them for that. I also have a lot of respect for groups like Big Bang and Super Junior. They've been in the business a long time, and I hope to stay in the business that long and have a fanbase as large as theirs one day.

It took about two weeks for people to start suspecting that they are dating. They were, and still are, just close friends.
☼ Connection's Personality: Shin is not your average girly girl. She doesn't spend all of her time on her appearance and she can eat her weight in food. She is also known to be "dangerously clumsy." Shin is fun-loving and kind. She has a bright personality and a smile that can brighten up a room. Shin can be very protective of those who she truly cares about.
☼ Dynamic: Jun and Shin, as he likes to call her, have been close since the day they met. They are so close that they are often mistaken for siblings or, more frequently, lovers.
