"don't judge my choices without understanding my reasons"
(
Rookie Number ) : #22
( Number of years training ) : 4 years & 9 months
( When + why did you become an Sm rookie ) : by the time lucie was 13, she was all but obsessed with the k-pop world. sm was one of the biggest companies, and she knew that if she could debut there, she was sure to make it big as a k-star. there was an audtion happening in canada that year, so she spent the months prior perfecting her skills so she could be accepted. she was almost dizzy with nerves on the actual day, but she tried out and made it in.
( Making a stan ) : "you look good" with rookies #12 & #14
( personality traits ) : quiet, observant, geeky, stubborn, passionate
(
elaboration ) :
lucie may seem difficult to be around when you first meet her because of her initial quiet nature, but she is just uncomfortable around new people. When she meets someone new, she doesn't talk much and spends more time observing the way that they act. This lucie is quiet and introspective. She is very shy and distant. Her voice is always calm and collected and she is very aloof.
lucie also has her cute days. This is the side that she shows to everyone when she gets comfortable around them. This lucie is adorable and aegyo-filld to the brim. She is extremely talkative and moves to her own beat. You can't help but love her. She is also a bit clumsy but covers it up pretty well (she really just tries to pretend like she meant to do it, but she didn't...).
If you ever get to know lucie well, you'll see the stubborn side of her a lot. This side of lucie is very talkative and likes to state her mind. She hates being left of the loop and not being informed about things that concern her. She is very curious and nosy. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty. lucie becomes unbelievably stubborn and passionate about things that interest and it is almost impossible to deter her from what she wants to do.
( background ) : lucie's parents, Stacie Kwon & baek jun seok, first met when they both left their hometowns to attend carlton university. they decided to settle down in ottawa, canada after graduating instead of picking between one of their individual provinces, and they had barely been married a year when they had lucie's older brother, marcus baek nam seon, followed by lucie about two years later on october 28, 1999. she lived a relatively normal life until with her small but happy family until her parents had twin daughters, elizabeth baek Seon Yeong & wilhelmina baek min seon, when lucie was four. lucie's parents were starting to get worn out by the number of kids and lack of family members to help, so they picked up and moved to quebec city, quebec (stacie's hometown) just as lucie and marcus were starting school. from then on, lucie was surrounded by music. quite a few members of her mother's sizeable family were involved in the music scene and she gained a love of music through them. she spent her summers in nova scotia (her father's home province) seeing her other side of the family and touring the seaside. this is also where she studied unconventional instruments. this is also where she first got into rapping and k-pop. a friend of hers introduced it to her during one of her visits when she was about 8, and she was immediately mesmorized by the rappers she saw. she gave up the SINGING lessons she had recently begun taking and did her best to emmulate the stylish rappers she saw in the videos she watched.
