How did you get in: Minwoo wanted to be a performer in America and get signed under an American entertainment company, but a close friend of his convinced him to audition for a Korean entertainment company instead.  He chose to send in an online audition to T.O.P Media and was accepted.
Training Years: 5 years, 6 months
Training Life: Trainee life was hard at first for Minwoo.  Even though he was part Korean he'd never been to South Korea before and didn't know anyone, so it took him a while to adjust to life as a trainee there.  He was initially uncomfortable and a bit aloof from the other trainees because he wasn't sure how to approach them and not many people cared to apprach him. However, over the long period of time that he was a trainee he got to know and draw the attention of a lot of the trainees and staff.  Eventually, he even developed a closeknit circle of friends including his best friends Nam Woo Jeon & Seo Kang Hee ( both oc trainees), and Jung Yeon Hae, who happens to also be a future member of Eclipse.  As a trainee, Minwoo was extremely hardworking.  He wasn't the best at rapping but made up for that by working on his singing or dancing.  He was definitely one of the most energetic and determined trainees in the company.  During his trainee days, he could almost always be found training or, when he had a day off, goofing around and messing with the other trainees because he could.  He wasn't the best trainee by any measure when he first arrived, but he slowly worked his way up to becoming a member of Eclipse.

This is The Real Me!
Personilty: Minwoo is a very hardworking and determined person.  He has to finish everything that he starts and never gives up on anything or anyone regardless of how difficult things may seem.  As a result, he can be very stubborn and hard-headed.  He is really considerate to others (sometimes too considerate) and hard-working, always seeing the glass as half-full rather than half-empty.  He will give his best in everything and never holds back.  Because of this, he often ends up wearing his heart on his sleeve without meaning or wanting to and allows people to see right through him.  In a group, he tends to be the motivator, the person who keeps everyone going even when they don't want to.  He may not always like the way things turn out for him, but he'll always try his best to deal with it and will spare his own feelings for the sake of someone else.  He tries to keep his emotions inside and not talk about them to those around hiim even though he knows and has been told countless times that he should.  He has very few confidents and sometimes even they have to prompt him to get him to talk about how he's actually feeling.

Minwoo may seem like an introvert to any regular person because he sometimes is, but those who know him well can tell you that he is usually the complete opposite.  Although he knows how to buckle down and get to work when the circumstances call for it, he can't help but let out his inner child every once in a while.  Around his close friends and when there is no need to be serious, Minwoo just about refuses act his age and acts more like a 5 year old instead.  He plays pranks, does aegyo, and annoys the general population that is TOP Media.  But this lovable side of him is almost impossible to stay mad at and even more impossible to ignore.  He is completely capable of guilt-tripping people into doing whever he says and he embraces it.  However, not everyone can tolerate this happy Minwoo all the time, which can lead to some interesting and sometimes downright funny altercations.

On stage and when training, Minwoo becomes a whole other person.  He is still equally versatile and equally capable of changing attitudes whenever the circumstances call for it, but still entirely different somehow.  This person that we call Woojin is decidedly less playful and more mature.  He is serious when it comes to things concerning the group and commits himself wholeheartedly to his work.  He is always and forever immersed and emotionally invested in anything he does when it comes to his career.  When performing, Minwoo gets charismatic and a little mysterious.  He always seems to have this glint in his eye like he knows something that you don't know.  Sometimes this side of him comes of the stage as well and surprises everyone around him, but it can almost never stay for long because we all know he's just a big adorkable softie.

And lastly we're going to talk about the other side of Minwoo.  Minwoo is usually kind, considerate, and cute, but even he has things that set him off.  If you want to see this side of Minwwo, just try to provoke him.  When Minwoo gets truly mad he is volatile, irritable, and downright hard to get along with.  This happens frequently whenever someone insults his friends or his family.  Just give him space and he will calm down on his own.  Also, beware the sleepless Minwoo.  There is only so little sleep that he run on and when he reaches his limits you must be ready to see ultimate crankiness unleached.  This Minwoo doesn't like to be around people that much and is stocked full of sarcasm.  Just take everything he says with a grain of salt.  He usually doesn't mean it.
Background: Minwoo was born on February 29, 1996 while his family was still living in Mostoles, Spain.  His father was an architect and his mother taught private music lessons from home.  While in Mostoles, his family lived with his mother's parents and he was constantly surrounded by a loving and supportive family.  At around age 4, his father took on a large project in San Jose, California and decided to move their family there to better accomodate his work.  As a child, Minwoo was constantly around music so it was only natural for him to become interested in it.  He would love to just sit there reading and listening to some song (it really didn't matter what it was) or sitting in on one of his mother's lessons.  He became particularly interested in string instruments at a very young age and decided that he wanted to take violin lessons even though his mother taught piano.  She tried to force him to learn the piano but soon found out that it wasn't his style, so she consented to get him  a violin instructor.  Minwoo took voilin for 4 years, but eventually decided that it was time to try out something new.  He switched over to the cello and ended up learning it for 3 more years.

Minwoo's first real interaction with mainstream music was when his cousin visited and forced him to follow her to a live Coldplay concert.  After watching them perform, he decided that he was going to be a performer one day and hold a concert of his own.  From that moment on, he started learning about American entertainment companies that he could be a part of because they were close to his family, but it was really hard to try and get into the music industry without knowing anyone.  Because of that, he stopped trying to join an American company and switched over to Korean entertainment companies.  He'd never visited South Korea but that was where his father originated from so he was eager to find out about it.  He was originally planning on auditioning for SM but realized that he wouldn't feel comfortable there and chose the next company that caught his eye.  TOP Media seemed a lot more welcoming so he was excited when he was accepted.  Leaving his family was extremely hard, especally because of his 4 year-old sister who was always with him.  After getting to Korea, he kept in close contact with his family and met some relatives he'd never been able to see before (not including his other grandparents who have passed away while his father was in college).  After almost 6 years of training, he is finally ready to debut.

Personality: Hay is one of the outgoing and talkative types. She's the type of person who can get along with everyone and anyone pretty quickly. She talks a lot, yet her talking never bores anyone. She's not afraid to talk to new people as she treats others well. She actually likes making friends and meeting new people a lot. People are comfortable with her because of the easy-going aura that she gives out. Hay usually has trouble sitting still. She's too active to sit. She'll always seen to walk around and never stay quiet. Well, quiet types doesn't go well with her. Though Hay is always joking around, she's also hard-working in training and achieving whatever she wants. She preferred to follow rather than lead. But unknowingly, she nags a lot when the other members are slacking off. When she's tired of everything, she began to join them (slacking off XD) too.

 
She's impulsive, in a way that she never thinks twice when she does something. She never says no when people/her members ask her to accompany them to places, or asking her to join clubs and societies or try new things. If you suddenly ask her to go sky diving with you the night before, she'll definitely say yes. She has the carefree style, that she will do just anything even destroy her image for the group. Hay has this blunt side where she'll says what she thinks in her mind, even if it might be offensive. Hay has mature mind despite of her innocent babyface. That's why she gets along with the boys rather than the girls. Speak harsh words to her ad she promises to pay you double. Using bad language is her old habit but she might be able to control it, for now.

 
During on stage, Hay is not afraid of pulling different side of her. She can be alluring and charming without any troubles. She likes to be the center and always show her best. At interviews, she acted like herself. She joked around and talked non-stop. Same goes to variety or reality shows. She had the ability to make the audiences laugh and can converse well. During off stage, she's just the same good, bad and on stage Hay.

How did you meet/will meet: Minwoo first noticed her on his first day at T.O.P Media when he looked in on a vocal lesson. He saw her periodically over time, but he never approached her. The first time they talked was during their trainees days in dance class. The instructor asked them to perform a dance but partnered on the next day. It was just some preparations that trainees should practice before their debut. Through that they would be experienced & not afraid in front of other people/fans. The instructor then set up partners and Minwoo ended up with a trainee that he didn't know was her. It was awkward at first because he was a little uncomfortable and didn't know how to make conversation with her, but since she's open & talks a lot the awkward atmosphere was changed to laughter. In the end, they stayed up late because they spent too much time joking around.
Interaction: Hay is his best friend in the group and he is definitely most comfortable around her. They're just like a couple. On and off stage, they care for each other and sometimes fight over useless things. Fans first shipped them when they saw both of them together. They do natural skinships without them knowing. Some of the members actually envy them.  Hay has no idea that he actually likes her and he's not sure if she likes him back.
