APPEARANCE — Chan is a very svelte and thin woman. She likes to keep a thin and healthy lifestyle and doesn't incorporate fast food or junk food in her diet. Being 180 cm, she weights a healthy 60 kg, it's just her strong bone structures that gives her the illusion of looking very malnourished. Her eyes are mono lidded and her lips are round and thick although flat, very different from the everyday Korean woman nowadays. She embraces her difference and while others are debating whether they should go under the knife, Chan is debating which bastard to kill. A hard woman to impress, it's hard to make her smile. She doesn't see the need to smile. It's a waste of time and with her hectic lifestyle, there just seems to be no purpose in it. She's not a pessimist, just a realist.

STYLE — Her attire is very chic and classy. Who says a security guard can't be trendy? Black is so mundane and excessive. Modern and fashionable but also a flare of profession, even her clothes make her a respectable woman. She has an attraction for luxury brands like Dior whether it is for her clothes or makeup. Hair usually tied in a low tail or in a messy yet y updo, Chan's beauty is effortless.

PERSONALITY —           Epitome of woman power, Chan is not a woman to defy. Her world runs like a clockwork–perfectly organized and systematic, with everything done on time. A messy room or misplaced paperwork? Not under her watch, screw that, never in her life. She is a conscientious and meticulous woman who is almost always well-prepared for anything and everything. Complex problems or difficult decisions are handled with ease and expertise–hence why she is the leader. Before any decision, she breaks things down, analyze them step by step, and comes to a well-informed and though-out conclusions that is strong and concrete so there will be no possibilities of any loopholes. Chan is extremely comfortable expressing herself verbally and likely prefer taking a practical rather than theoretical approach to things. Being ruled by emotion or impulses is not in her nature–no matter what she does it's always "think first, act later". With that being said, Chan is a very fast-thinking person. Her thoughts are processed at a very fast speed and are executed firmly by her if not done by the members. While some people may have difficulty making sense of this fast-paced, topsy-turvy world, Chan's logical and rational nature helps her put everything into perspective. Life's "big picture" is important, but it's the little things that matter most to her. No matter how complex her life of job gets, she always manages to figure things out and set them right again. Meaning if a member screws up, she will be the person to realize the cause of the problem and fix it to perfection. Since 93% of her life is focused solely on her demanding job, she is the go-to person for further understanding. She may seem intimidating, but there will always be a humane side to Chan that not many people have seen. She likes to keep her respectable reputation high but she knows when to let her guard down.
           Doesn't like defiance but she appreciates the challenge. It's her way or you can go ahead and get the hell out. She was assigned as the leader for a reason. Not because she's the oldest, not because she has a threatening aura around her, but because she earned it. If you have the audacity to defy her of her actions, she will not hesitate to throw you under the bus. Usually a soft-spoken yet demanding woman, Chan does have a tempter and when it's ticked it takes a while for the bomb to deflate. Understand your authorities and your orders. She is nowhere near a tyrant, but give her attitude and she will give hell back times 15. She doesn't emphasize with people and will refuse a sob story and any lame excuse. If you can't perform the task given, then get the hell out. Each and every one of the members of the squad were chosen for a critic talent that was needed to complete the squad and if one member cannot step up to the plate, get the hell out so she can do your job for you. Chan holds high expectations for everyone, especially herself, so she will be constantly on everyone's back as a form of motivation and tough love.

PAST — Growing up, Chan has always had a deep interest in spies and detectives. While all the girls wanted to be cheerleaders or nurses, Chan's dream was to become an undercover investigation working for the government. Born into a supportive and well off family, it was easy for Chan's dreams to become realities. However she always felt very unnatural and isolated from her family members. Affection is something that was always difficult for her to express so she didn't know how to incorporate towards her family. When she graduated high school at age 18, she moved out of her family home and lived by herself towards the end of Seoul to attend in a criminal defense college to get her license as a private investigator. During her years under that institution, she was trained to distinguish which chemicals were hazardous and how to cure a person on the spot if consumed. When she was 21, she worked for the government as a CIA. Her works included discovering North Korea's nuclear bombs and the threats of it. Slowly making up her rank, at age 25, she had become a Junior Investigator for the bureau then was transferred to protect GOT7 disguised as a stylist.

PRESENT — She now lives in Seoul with her long-time boyfriend. Living in a condo deep within Seoul, Chan barely comes home since she's usually cramming up multiple investigations so GOT7 isn't the only people she's protecting. Busy basically putting her life in danger, Chan is very devoted to her job. Her cases include catching the ring leader of a drug ring (White Ring) and trying to find the brain behind a conspiracy group provoking North Korea with threats (NK Cons). Currently her relationship with her boyfriend is on the rocks and is basically ignoring it with work. She is afraid to make the decision between her love life and work but knowing how dedicated she is, he is not willing to make her choose.

          Chang approaches his intimate relationship quite seriously–as he approaches most things in life. That's how they have lasted for such a long time. He takes his vows and commitments seriously and is faithful and loyal. Easy to live with and be around, Chang has simply daily needs and is not overly demanding of Chan in almost any respect. While is internal life is theoretical and complex, his external life in comparison is usually quite simply. He likes to keep the complexities of his and Chan's world to a minimum so that they can focus their brain power on working through their relationship. This makes him a very straight-forward, honest lover, with a love that is quite pure in its simple, uncomplicated nature.
          Perhaps the only person to call her Chanyeon, Chan is exclusively close with her boyfriend, Kang Changjoon. Changjoon is the only person ever to see the affectionate and genuine side of Chan. Even her family hasn't seen the proper side of her. He's the only person to bring out the humane side of her when work has soaked up all the life and activity inside of her. Also a detective, he knows how hectic it is, but Chan's workaholic lifestyle is something he can never take away from her. Chang is a very creative person who has a vivid imagination. He can be excitable and passionate about their love relationship. Sometimes, he has a problem reconciling the exciting visions especially when she's never home. Chang is a patient man like how he is a loyal boyfriend. He wants to work things out but knowing that Chan is pushing them away, he is willing to wait until she's ready to discuss their slowly failing relationship.

FIRST MEETING —
          They enrolled and trained at Dweohwa Criminology Institution together. They met their second year in a combat course training in the waters. Their first assignment was to be able to jump from extremely high elevation into deep waters then swim to safety. Partnered up together, Chang finished the task with ease but Chan hesitated, since she is afraid of heights and has never had to encounter such deep waters before. Literally being pushed by her instructor to get in, Chan fell in the water choking onto the limited breath she had and struggled in the water. Seeing that his partner was in danger, Chang went to go retriever her and bring her to shore quickly initiating CPR. She survived, obviously, but that instructor was fired by the institution for endangering a life of a student. Ever since then they've always remained close, although she didn't want to make it too obvious that she was completely infatuated by this man. After a year training, he proposed the idea of dating. They've been strong for 5 years now, but their 6th year is beginning to falter.

RELATIONSHIP —
            Chang still works for the CIA while Chan is on leave for Operation 07 however he still supervises for his girlfriend while she's a way to ensure that she's safe. Also because he's slightly insecure and is afraid that she may fall in the arms of a boy group member. Even though they both come home to sleep, they barely see each other since she practically lives the schedule of an idol now, minus the idol activities. Chang yearns for her touch and truly misses her but doesn't want to come off as clingy or mushy so he lets the feelings subside. Chang does not like to deal with messy complications such as intrapersonal conflicts so he may fall into the habit of ignoring conflict when it occurs. If he feels they must face the conflict, he's likely to approach it from a logical perspective from different points of view. This may aggravate the conflict situation if Chan simply wants to feel that they are supported and loved. Chan simply wants to be encouraged, affirmed and supported when she is upset. Chang should practice meeting these needs in a conflict situations. Chan is a very internally emotional. She thrives on affection from her boyfriend and since he can be insensitive at times, it's difficult to receive it.

CONCLUSION — Their relationship will definitely receive some problems and threats, especially when she's constantly working on other missions like White Ring and NK Cons. After her long absence, he hates to do it but he makes Chan choose. If she chooses the job, their relationship will be on a temporary break until Operation 07 is completed. If she chooses him, they get married and comtinue their minimal work for the CIA. Never hearing this side of Chang before, she doesn't know. Is it worth leaving the group she's learn to be so immensely proud of or the only man she has ever met. For the first time, her personal business clashes with her work and she turned to some of her members to help her with this decision.
