Red Light Review

f(x) is back and when I saw the teaser photos, I was pretty sure it was going to be one of the best comebacks made.

However, I saw the music video an hour ago and was greatly disappointed with the song itself. It has potential if it only had a better and catchier chorus. The song itself is like IGAB which sounds unpleasant and not smooth initially but the more you hear, the more you like it. But in this case, Red Light doesn't seem to make me think so because I listened to it for more than ten times, I'm not even joking, and I'm still unable to like it.

The song aside, I love the MV this time, Every single member had their own adequate amount of screen time unlike Rum Pum Pum Pum which Krystal's face was everywhere. The MV was artsy and their make-up this time is absolutely incredible. I'm a huge fan of dark and hipster themes and this MV is a perfectly perfect example of what I look for in music. The effects and animations were done amazingly. The black and white filter on Luna is so incredible I can't even. All the accessories on Krystal made the MV in a darker element and it was absolutely an interesting and coo concept. It's original. I repeat, original.

Amber's red hair is perfection!!! Her make-up and costumes are so suitable for her tomboy and badass style, not pushing too far or staying too original. She's wearing those short shorts and her voice during the bridge is so pleasant. I really hope she tries her best to be more open about wearing more feminine clothes because she looks so pretty in them. Her performance is also really good in the MV.

Victora's look is unexpectedly similar to all her other styles in the past eras. Classy, mature lady. I love her class and her elegance in the MV, her maturity showing on all her scenes however, I'm someone who gets tired of the same stuff very easily. I wanted her to change her hair colour and make-up. She's still beautiful in the MV though.

Krystal's hair is gorgeous. The Jung sisters really suit blonde so well. On my Rum Pum Pum Pum review, I stated that I didn't like Krystal's red hair. But now, I'm so glued to her hair because the concept suits her. Her cold and glaring face made her role as a 'witch' so much more convincing. I really liked her in this era and I look really forward although she's not my bias.

Sulli. Sulli. Sulli. I think she's starting to climb up my bias list this era because she's so stunning with her long hair again! Her pale skin and dark brown hair contrast so well with her dark make-up. I wouldn't say I liked her vocals and raps in the song but she looks so beautiful and captivating, I really like her style this time and how she suits the concept although she has such an innocent face.

Luna's short hair. Oh. My. God. So gorgeous. I love her short hair so much. She looks so fresh and unique this time and her lines are so vocally pleasant. She's my bias currently and I'm so happy she got her lines back. She's literal perfection, like a human form of a Greek Goddess. I love her make-up and hair and everything.

Anyway, tell me what you think about Red Light. I love the MV and its visuals but am not a fan of the song itself.

I like the song, tbh. The first time I heard it I was like... 'Oh my, what is this?' But I'm pretty sure (maybe will work or not), if you do something else [without watching and doing something else] you will actually sing to some parts. --> True story from DrAsTiC
