PERSONALITY: 
Amiable - Aejin may be the lead rapper, but surprisingly, she doesn't act like one offstage. Rappers give people impressions that they are boss and they are the ones who's in charge. However, Aejin is nowhere near that. She has no say with almost everything, always going with the flow or majority, claiming that she's okay with anything.

Quiet - A plot twist is that Aejin only speaks up when it is necessary, she hardly participates in group talks but it doesn't make her left out, the members and her both knows she's there listening, it's just that she prefers to stay silent and listen. Aejin listens really carefully to what people says and answers their questions inside her mind without voicing them out. Though she may not talk much, a simple smile from her reassures everything, Aejin prefers actions over words, if someone needs to be consoled, sh'll give them a great hug and healing smile rather than talking to them, maybe patting on their backs as well. But then she keeps a lot of things to herself, she rarely shares her thoughts with people, not even her family or her closest friends, thinking that it might burden them, but little by little it accumulates inside Aejin, burdening herself in result.

Preserved - Don't expect her to be first in action, for instance, it's highly unlikely for Aejin to be the first to start a conversation,  unless it's someone she knows really well, not that she doesn't want to, but she doesn't know how to, she worries about problems like asking something sensitive which will upset the person. Aejin will always need someone to guide her in front, or at least she needs to know some of the other's experience in order to continue. She's afraid of the unknown that awaits her in the future, call her a coward but she'll still have no confidence in herself for succeeding.

Easily used by people - Due to her amiability and kindness, Aejin is easily used by people who she's not close with. She doesn't know how to protect herself by saying no, thinking that turning people's requests down would not be nice, then she ends up being the puppet or the shield. Aejin has a slow realization or absolutely no sense in defending herself, with her mind being too innocent and pure to have thoughts of people hurting her.

Obedient - Almost obeying to every order she receives, she has been given the nickname 'Robot' because if her obedience in her early trainee period by one of the trainees then. Aejin doesn't bother to process whether it is good or bad for her or the others and obeys straight away, this recurs back to where she has no idea about people's aim to hurt her. Some may think she's good and docile, but most just think it's all an act and doesn't think twice before doing anything.

Trustworthy - Secrets are safe with Aejin as she hardly opens to talk, she doesn't spill a word no matter how hard people pester her. She's also very responsible, if she's given a task, she bounds to finish it perfectly and makes sure that there is no mistake, little bit a perfectionist maybe?

Mature and independent - Aejin isn't someone to cry easily, although she doesn't think twice before doing things, her thoughts are actually quite mature and her members are shocked of her adult-like way of thinking. She's considerate, thoughtful and can think about a solution to a problem in a quick and calm way.

Positive - Like the female version of Chanyeol, Aejin is always on the happy side, never thinking about bad and unfortunate stuff, a ceritified happy virus, it's just that she's way more quiet and shows her happiness with her infamous healing smile.

BACKGROUND:
Who got Aejin into music, specifically rapping was Missy Elliot, it was when she was on the streets and one of the shops was playing Missy Elliot's 'Work It'. She was stunned upon hearing how fast she could 'spit out' the words, but they were in a rhythm not a mess, and that she could hear the words clearly without any difficulties. Aejin started to dig up more about rapping, she tried to rap and imitated the legendary female rapper, however, she couldn't even follow the beat as her tongue kept on getting twisted, no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't. Aejin was on the verge of giving up until her savior came by, it was her art teacher, wait wait wait, art teacher? Yes, her art teacher's husband, Mr. Han worked at an entertainment ageny as a rap teacher, she started to pick up the skills of rapping with his help and soon, she could fluently rap and even make up a beat immediately and rap in freestyle. 

Although she was one of Mr. Han's best students and Mr. Han treated her really well, it doesn't buy her a free ticket to become a trainee, under his encouragement, Aejin auditioned for the agency in early 2011, however, there was no good news, she didn't get chosen, however, she did get on the waiting list, so she waited, listening to Mr. Han's advice. After the long wait, in July 2011 /lucky number 7 hahaha/, she received a phone call from Mr. Han that she was eventually accepted after discussion, Aejin somehow thought Mr. Han did participate in the decision-making process and helped her.

Her family might just be the most supportive family anyone could have, her parents, who comes from the countryside and are traditional, seems to be way more enthusiastic than their daughter about her being idol. Her parents are really proud of Aejin and supports her decision no matter what, ever since she told them she was accepted as a trainee, they boasted to everyone in the neighborhood about the good news. The family was always divided into two camps, her parents who overreact in anything and Aejin, who is the total opposite.

As Aejin has to leave her hometown Incheon for Seoul, she doesn't come home often, but luckily, Incheon is not that far from Seoul compared to other places and instead, her parents visit her. They show up at the SM building like sasaeng fans, except they're ahjussi-and-ahjumma fans and Aejin brings them inside whenever they pay her a visit. Her parents are very passionate while they bring a lot of food and presents not only for their precious daughter but also artists and trainees. They're very well-known in the company, soon even the security guard at the entrance recognizes them and lets them in eventually.

As Aejin was first placed in the waiting list but not accepted straight away, the trainees looked down upon her, saying that she got in just because she was lucky. Aejin was isolated at first, no matter how hard she tried to prove herself that she did have the talent, the trainees still thinks that she was just lucky, even with teachers' compliments, they refused to recognize her talents. Aejin didn't mind though, it's not like they bullied her, she just didn't have any friends, she talked to herself and was solo in the early stage of her training life. Then Tao came in, he befriended her, he treated her like a true friend and Aejin was thankful of him, as Tao got close to Aejin, more people started to befriend her as well, probably to get close to Tao who already debuted with EXO, she lived a training life with fake friends. Despite the people around her weren't sincere, it didn't affect Aejin, her passion for rapping and being an idol grew as she put more and more effort in training, she didn't see training as a burden and was really optimistic about it, having no worries for being kicked out. Though Aejin became a trainee during studying in high school, she still didn't have the problem of juggling her studies and training, she kept up her academic results in spite of her tiring training schedules. However, after she graduated, the company gave her a heads-up that if she wanted to pursue a better career as an idol, she would have to give up university. The dilemma between university and her career bothered Aejin a lot, during that time, her training slacked off, Mr. Han was aware of her situation and gave her a life lesson before SM could kick her out because of her bad performance. Unwillingly, Aejin decided to go for her career and delayed her university studies. Her hard work paid off, Aejin's rapping was praised by teachers more and more often, even the company sunbaes have heard of her, soon she paved her way for an official member for Illuminate.

The senpai loves to laugh, make sure his jaw doesn't drop on the floor when he laughs, he's the social butterfly and is the total opposite of Aejin. Despite that Luhan might have the cutest baby face that makes you want to squeeze his cheeks so bad, as he's the second oldest hyung, he's absolutely reliable and his presence reassures you that you'll be safe beside him. The brat may be mishchievous and sneaky but he's definitely clever and  manly at the same time, don't be fooled by his feminine 'Marilyn MonLu' image because he's athletic, just, righteous, brave except that he's dead afraid of heights.  Possessive and stubborn, he  makes sure that everything is done in his way, once he aims for a goal, he's so determined he's impossible to  stop. Luhan being the moodmaker, he's like a  walking human jokebook, he teases and mocks every chance he has and no way he's going to let them slip pass his fingers, but beforehand, he'll think twice and observe the environment before making any move.

FIRST MEETING: Luhan started to notice Aejin after her frequent visits for Tao, he was actually puzzled to see such an unfamiliar face visit Tao so many times, at first he thought that Aejin was just a normal friend of his maybe back in China and just stopped by to say hello to Tao, but after so many times, he wondered about Aejin and Tao. Luhan started to ask about Aejin, finding out that she was a rapper about to debut a new girlgroup. One day, when he spotted Aejin alone who probably was waiting for Tao, he went up to her and befriended her, wanting to know about her. She didn't seem too welcoming due to his sudden appearance and thought that Luhan was a huge weirdo and he pretended everything on stage. Starting from then, Luhan started to pester Aejin whenever she dropped by for Tao, she found him weirder and weirder everytime, but at the same time she enjoyed his annoying presence.

INTERACTIONS: Aejin and Luhan enjoyed to talking to each other, a lot, although Luhan did most of the talking. They don't do what normal couples do like go on a sweet date or do PDA wherever and whenever they want and hold hands all day long, they can't, they're idols. But they squeezed time for each other, despite their frenzy and hectic schedule, the two would always find some time to spend with each other, for instance, they would spend the whole night talking with each other at the studio, or even just sitting there with their backs against each other's, silent for the whole time. Aejin and Luhan were a couple who didn't need too much affection to show how much they love each other, a whisper of 'I love you', or just a simple peck would make their day. Not a lot of people knows about their relationship, of course EXO and Illuminate definitely knows about them, but to their managers, it was a huge surprise for them and they didn't believe at first as they haven't even seen them near each other, heck they hardly even text each other. True, Aejin and Luhan keeps it low, in the public, they are never near each other, and when they are asked about sensitive questions in shows or interviews, they just smile and pass the mic on. One thing he simply can't stand about is when Aejin agrees to everything he says and without thinking about herself, he feels like she's siding him on everything and Luhan hates that she has no say in anything, not putting herself in the first priority. They often get into fights about the issue, fortunately the fights are small and they patch up in a jiffy, the arguements and quarrels are tests their love for each other, everytime they patch up, their bond grows stronger and they both realize how hopeless they'll be without each other.
