So young was born in Storybrooke, among the high-middle class. Her Father died of a heart attack when she was nine and her Mother never remarried, choosing to raise her children on her own. Her brother, who is nine years older that her, lives in Across town with his wife yet they don't talk much, but she has a little bit of a brother/hero complex and thinks he can do no wrong. Her Grandmother also lives near the edge of town and most days So young will go visit her, taking the trail through the woods by the park.
She works part-time at the library and at the local movie theater trying to save up so she can go to college or just get out of that town. Her Brother is a surgeon at the hospital and her sister-in-law has a flower shop. Her grandmother is retired and spends most of her time gardening or flirting with the young lumber yard employees that are working on clearing a bit of the forest nearby. Her Mother owns a bakery down on the square and she runs the volunteer services at the church on the weekends. So young is always expected to go and participate in these events, but some times her wild streak makes her rebel and she goes down to the creek to swim with her friends or hide out in the parking lot of the high school and read or sketch instead. 
So young always did well in school and was always perceived as a well mannered, polite young woman thanks to her Mothers pushing.
 

So young is a bit less innocent than her fairy tale character but just as intelligent. She has a wild streak in her that can pop up at the worst of times. She is a bit of an introvert and can't stand the way her Mother expects her to behave so she wants to get out and see the world instead of being tied to their little town forever. She is stubborn and strong willed, but tamps it down to fit the mold her Mother wants her to live up to. Most like her counter part, she does not judge people for anything other than what they project to the world. She has an easy smile when she likes you, and most people like her.
She can get a tad obsessive over time and stresses if she is even a little late for something. She tends to get anxious when the unexpected happens and she is thrown into a situation she's not ready for. She likes to plan things out, but she does daydream a bit too often. She cultivates big dreams in her head and chases after them with passion.
She can't lie well at all when put on the spot.
She gets flustered easily and her cheeks will go from pale to red in seconds, amusing the people around her as one of her charms. It's hard for her to show affection besides how she acts with her grandmother, whom she loves dearly. She can be a bit slow sometimes, when it comes to emotions.
So young can also be a bit simple minded and say things without thinking, which is why her brother calls her simple all the time. She's working on that.

PERSONALITY. In the real world he is kind of shy and quiet but he has this passion for dance that can blow you away. He is genuine and really loves to dance, he can't be fake about it. He has to enjoy what he does or he won't do it. He can be blunt, but also has trouble expressing himself to others. He gets embarrassed and startled easily but he is also thoughtful of others and a little dorky.

In the Fairy tale world he is still quiet and dorky, but he also has this dark charisma that surrounds him and pulls you in. He seldom shows affection if it isn't real for him and he has a hard time doing it then either. He can be stubborn and act tough and totally try to seduce you. He exudes self assurance and confidence brought on by what lies beneath his skin

MEETING AND RELATIONSHIP. They went to the same school together their whole lives but they never saw one another as much of anything until one night, during a party at their mutual friends house out by the lake. He was coming out of the smoke permeated living room to escape the horrid smell and saw her standing out on the dock.
He watched as she stripped down to her swimsuit and jump in to the moonlit waters. He'd always thought she was mommy's little angel so it totally took him by surprise.
After that he kept an eye on her and slowly he began to hunger for her ...love. (>-<)
 

Maybe a slim connection to the fairy tale, aren't all men wolves? lol

Well, in the tale he wanted to devour her as a tasty little morsel... I think if I go any further this won't be PG.
It's pretty much the same in the storybrooke universe, just... different.

Right now, I'd say they are working their way up to a relationship of some kind.
He's just a bit more timid in this alternate reality.
