Honestly, who is surprised he's leaving? I'm not. He even updated his instagram talking about his struggle to stay strong like a week ago and we all kind of guessed that's what he was talking about.

I wouldn't last 1 week under sm. I'd either assault someone or be kicked out. (Or you know, leave, but dammit I'd slam every door on my way out the door!) And in all of this--these SELFISH fans think less of what could have led to Kris leaving and only about how much they're hurt that EXO isn't going to be 12 anymore. Don't play. Kris is throwing away his mega-buck gauranteed career as a SUCCESSFUL artist who is known AROUND THE WORLD and you're concerned about not getting to see EXO as 12? How can you be so dense? Did you not stop to think how hard that decision was? Did you not stop to think about what could have instigated such actions?

kpop stars regularly throw away their pride and will to do things for fans (fan service) and that includes being told to cross dress, sing awful songs that have about as much personality as a block of tofu so that they can dance around stage sans choreo for fans at fan events, be forced into y girl group dancing on the spot, be physically punished with toys for entertainment purposes and that's just the short list for the MALE idols. Though I don't like many female artists, they have it hard (impossibly so) too.

What if it was another sasaeng attack or a crime against his mother? What if there was a death in his family and he wasn't allowed to leave? The endless possibilities are there and all these selfish "fans" can talk about is how their OT12 is ruined because of him? It's all of our OT12! We all like them as 12. But if they're unhappy, I don't want them with EXO any more. If my boyfriend cheats, I'm sad to see him go, but he obviously wanted something else more. Don't be foolish. Like leaving s is going to be easy? Like he's going to be excited to see them all on stage laughing together without having a moment of pain where he misses them endlessly. You think ALL 12 MEMBERS are completely okay with this? Tao who looked up to Kris for years and is no longer going to have him as a shoulder to lean on? Lay who hangs back to make snarky tired eyes with Kris during long waits at the airport? All 12 members share something, and some have deeper friendships like Minseok and Luhan who are as best friends as best friends could be. But Kris was raised in Canada and his sense of obligation is not the same, and his understanding of what is tolerable and what is not is much clearer.
