[Upon first glance]
she presents herself with upturning charisma and a cool, unapproachable aura. That may be the case when we’re talking about normal civilians being around her. When she is with her close friends however, it turns out that she is not entirely scary and intimidating, but in fact just a little bit scary and intimidating(?) 

[She has amazing frankness and practicality]
Generally people who call themselves practical tend to be polite in the more diplomatic sense, but for her, the practicality seems to stem from the frankness. Actually, if you cut open her [I mean psychologically], you will find that what drives her most is her broad outlook, and her quick positive grasping power of almost any kind of problem. But mind you, the one inclined to get the whole larger picture is liable to miss out on the minor details.

You know when she's on stage. You can feel the fierceness with one glance. She’s just someone you don’t want to mess with. Though she seems like an extremely cool female, she is actually genuinely soft and sensitive on the inside. She adores affection from the other casts, and is unbelievably cute and childish at times when expressing her sentiments, trying to kiss her Friends or hugging them from fronts. Her social ineptitude does make her slightly awkward and shy, however netizens often see this as her charisma. As one of the oldest in the group of "next" cast, she is someone who lead but her personality is quite lacking in that sense.

Soyoung was born in Buhwangri, Cheongwan on the 15th October 1990. It was a small village far from Seoul. She didn't live with her father since her childhood. Her mother who is a kindergarden teacher, her mother told her that her father is a politician but she should never ever told that to anyone. Her father married to her mother legally but they kept it secret since her father already have his first wife in Seoul. Soyoung rarely met her father. There were only few memories they shared together. 

[1997]
The first thing one would observe about her since her childhood days is she was very brilliant and took her studies very seriously. The only thing is that, there should be a balance of studies and outdoor activities for her. She was good in track and field especially the hurdles and sprint. But because of the both different fields, she often overtire herself, tried to cope up. Her mother was proud of her little sweet pie, she would often help her with her study and sport schedule. Her school life was pretty normal and she grew up as a pretty, smart and athletic girl. But sometimes, she would got into verbal fights with some of her schoolmates who said she's the daughter out of a wedlock. 

[2003]
Her father stopped visiting them since she was 13. Luckily, there were her best friend who is also her neighbour, Hana and her family. hana and her family helped Sooyoung and her mother a lot but they would try to reject some because they just don't feel good depending on others.

[2008]
Soyoung argued with her mother to start working after finishing her high school and she succeeded. She had a job as the front desk receptionist at ts Ent in Seoul. She decided to do that to help her mother with the daily expences, although she did feel regretful abandoning her excellent grades in both academic and cocuriculum.
