First impression

She brings out the obnoxious in the group. She’s the funny member, the one that makes the tough times better with her lame jokes and loud rambunctious attitude. She is the boy-crazy, like the flirty girl in class that you sometimes wanna roll your eyes at but laugh at her silly antics.

Free spirited

The key to her personality is that she is a free spirited. Conformation is her curse. Rules and regulations are made for other people. Restrictions will blow out the creative spark that is ready to flame into life. She must be free and uninhibited. She takes thrilling risks and burns the candle at both ends so she is fortunate to be blessed with good health. Not the most domesticated, she is more content out and about rather than at home. She is very adaptable and are fit for various occupations, especially if those occupations allow her to take the limelight. In any of these occupational situations, she will take a radical approach. She works hard, but would rather gives orders than receive them. She is attracted by the bizarre. No self-respecting her desires to walk in a tourist's footsteps. Instead, she takes a lot of gratification in finding hidden destinations, or, closer to home, locations off the beaten track. She enjoys challenges, the feel of adrenaline pumping through her veins. She keeps a very realistic perspective and tends to be carefree - perhaps too carefree. 

Originality

Her perfect appearance and rather beautiful looking face will probably make you underestimate her. Which is one of the biggest mistakes you can make around her. Her originality is the most impressive and outstanding of all her characteristics. She is quite imaginative and always able to see new paths where others may run into brick walls. She may not be strong but she’s smart, in term of things that not related to study and fact ofcourse, she can easily come up with various plans to get out of certain unpleasant situations. And due to the fact that she’s patience, she always can wait long enough to make the right move at the right time. If she gets too angry the tears begin to flow and never seem to stop until she is satisfied with bringing something down. She has a very charming nature, and she knows how to use it when she needs to. She also has a very cunning side, shown only when provoked. To her, life is game to be played, and even if she may seems like losing at the beginning she will checkmate in the end and win.

Sentimental

She is sentimental at heart. She is quick to fall in love, but does not surrender her independence easily leaving her to live life by herself. But once she becomes committed, she is unlikely to ever leave. Those who truly know her knows she is a loving soul who will become your best ally in times of need. Once the she has given her friendship, she will not let her friends down and will never falter in her allegiance to her companions. To her, a friend is a friend for a lifetime. Incredibly honest, She is known for sincerity and is a trusting soul. Because of this honesty, she doesn't realize others may not demonstrate or uphold the same codes of ethics. Making the discovery that she placed her trust in someone who is dishonest makes her quite sad, yet much more perceptive for future encounters. 

Downfalls

She is a beautiful girl, colorful and flamboyant. An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and utterly irrepressible, everything she does is on a grand scale, big ideas, ornate gestures, extreme ambitions. She is egotistical and love to be the center of attention. Modesty is not one of her assets. Because she is confident, fearless in the face of challenge, she is almost inevitably successful. She usually makes it to the top. However, she should  be aware of her nature. Too much enthusiasm can leave her tired and unfulfilled. Even though she is willing to aid when necessary, her pride can often impede her from accepting the same kind of help from others. She hates being talked down to. It makes her feel like she is worthless and can put her in a state where she is completely frozen and feels as if her body is made of led. Sometimes she can overcome the words that are being thrown at her but other times she can’t. To match her insecurity she won’t be able concentrate really well after that.

Onstage

She has good variety sense. On screen, she’s loud, obnoxious and funny and her fans love her outgoing, exaggerating personality. Personally, her personality is not everyone's cup of tea simply because there are moments where she really has to turn it down a bit before she borders audacious, but overall she does seem rather cheery on television. On reality show, she is described by others as cute and sweet. From others' understanding, she’s a stout Christian, grew up in a pretty wealthy home and people do honestly notice this slight rich snobby attitude around her sometimes. Luckily, it’s not always heavy but sits still present nonetheless. What makes up for this slight flaw though is a greater positive; she seems to be very patient. In fancams others see her retain a smile even around the most annoying fans.

Born

Xiaoyi has a Korean ancestry, but living in China, she didn't use her Korean name. She was born in Shanghai on May 7th, 1993. Xiaoyi is the youngest child from three. She has two older brothers. She is super duper close to her father and mother since kid. Her parent support her in everything she does. Her parent spoilt her to the max.

Elementary

Xiaoyi attended elementary school at Sacred Heart Convent since her whole family is Christian. Thats where she met her bestfriend, Chen Guanhui. Her concentration was Business Chinese. Xiaoyi was a cheerleader and class leader who enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities including school musical. That's how she fell for performing art. She was a good student. She eventually become teachers’ pet because of her charming and well-mannered demeanor. She is active and she challenges herself and try to achieve whatever she want, so any outdoor feet is expected more from her than from her siblings. It's a shame that she can't do any better in her academic and intelectual knowledge.

Modelling

She was scouted by a modelling company from a young age of 11 in China though her interest is more into music. She started to model for an online clothing shop. Later, lead her for a walk on a runway. She gained numerous offer and was told to have a natural modelling talent. She was also popular probably because of her young age, since most her work mates were older.

First love & first pet

This year is totally unforgettable by her since she claimed to have met her first love. It was a feeling that she never experienced before. When she first saw him, her breath stopped, she literally forget how to breath, he was just too gorgeous for her. As cliche as it is, the extroverted Xiaoyi began to act differently around him, being shy and extra girlish as they began their friendship. And yes, her first love is a full Chinese. During that year also, she managed to pursuade her parent to let her keep 2 pet dog despite her having an alergy for the animal. As a note, her allergy isn't that serious or fatal..she just going to have a running nose sometimes.

Middle & High

Xiaoyi further her study in Sacred Heart Convent and after finishing her middle school, in 2007, Xiaoyi quit modelling and followed her parent to Korea. Apparently, her parent already retired and they chose Korea as a place where they gonna spent their live afterward. The children were given choice whether to stay in China or to move to Korea. Xiaoyi decided to further her high school education in Korea. Not just because of her parent, but she also chose this because she've grown mentally and physically after having involved in model since a young age. She was enrolled at the Seoul Art High School (international program).

Trainee

She got scouted by a YG representive when she was shopping in Gangnam, although ofcourse she did have an audition after that. During trainee years she received further training in dancing, and singing. She could converse with all the new people she met, due for being the ever so confident she is. But one tiny major problem, she didn't know what to eat, because even as a trainee she was advice to watch out for her diet. One major problem, the training to be a kpop idol was actually harder than what she imagined. She cried everyday for the first two weeks, everytime after the dance class end, but decided to work hard even though she wanted to go back home, to not disappoint her parents. Year by year she had improved her singing skills especially. She even came in 2nd place at the 6th YG Best Rapper Contest. Aside from dance training and diet, she has nothing to be mourn about.

Predebut experiences

In 2013, she made her unofficial debut as a Ri Hyein in the movie Commitment. She acted alongside Big Bang's TOP, he was her on screen brother. After the movie was released, netizens already recognized her as a girl who acted with T.O.P but not much information given by YG about her. Rumor said that she is the visual for YG long awaited girl group. Another rumor said she is a rookie actress under YG. During her 4 years of training,  she discover that she can't live without music. Eventhough her debut as an idol was no where to see in the 4 years, she figured out, more training won't hurt and maybe she can make herself as better than before. In 2013, she then also appeared in Sunbee's Srrr as the main girl. She gained fairly fans during those period. 

JB is strong. He iss very chic and his expressions might be scary at the first meet. However, everything is all misunderstandings. After being together, he is playful and takes good care of others. When there’s something you couldn’t think of/understand, he already understood it. He’s a man who knows how to do everything. A man who is like a tiger, sang-namja. A man who can defend himself, a man who has an ensured future. A man who can work out things in any situation and is trustworthy. 

He has ‘the more you see’ charms. He’s usually in his own world so he keeps making others wondering about him. He’s a man who is like a magnet when a girl approaches him first. He’s the type who gives his all to a girl he loves. He’s a nice and considerate guy. He’s especially not an obvious type. He often changes between being nice and chic. He’s a fun but mystery guy. Despite all that, he’s the manly guy with a twist.

They met by a rather normal way but it's JB who fall for her that fast I guess. They met at a shopping complex, a music equipment shop to be more exactly. Xiaoyi was looking for a guitar as a present for her brother. While for JB, he was looking for his own guitar. He was walking when he saw a girl at the guitar department through the glass wall, he was mesmerized by the girl's smile and went to her little by little. Xiaoyi was trying to take a guitar that was hanging on the wall when she stumbled backward, as the guitar was quite heavy for her. JB who were close to her quickly held the guitar before it hit the face of her. She was shock but quickly thanking him for his quick reaction, when she finally take a good look at his face, she ended up streching out her hand and said, "You're good looking!". 

JB is prankish, meanie and a troller for Xiaoyi, but there's reason for that. JB never treat her like other girls, even when around her members, people would say that he is a bit harsh to her. JB's way may not be the best way in making Xiaoyi look at him but, he did it in his own way. He truly sacrificed his own image, he didn't even care if he's going to look as the bad one. He actually don't know what he should do, he just want to leave a lasting impression to her, the only way he can think is being the bad image.
