"I who came from the other star" Others love this girl’s quirkiness. She is just about one of the strangest people out there. She talks to herself. Like a lot. Encourages herself. Scolds herself. If that doesn’t scream crazy we don’t know what does. She has fun doing things that most people would find downright embarrassing. Like showing off body hair.  Dancing like an idiot. Making the most unattractive faces possible. She is just a plain fool and it’s cute. As much as she embarrasses herself, it will always be cute because she’s so darn attractive and humorous. This is where the “hate” comes in: Most girls have to admit that, if not a lot, they are the slightest bit envious of how amazing this girl is. She is just so interesting. Sometimes described as the group’s most embarrassing member, we’d be surprised if she had any shame left in her. She is full of wonder and happiness. Her fans love her outgoing, weird, kkab personality and the rest of the grouo seem to really enjoy laughing at her. Her clinginess to the girls and prankster self remind us how childish she is also, and her obnoxious laughter makes hours go by.

Background :

She was born in Busan on August 10, 1991. She is the younger sister of, Han Sunhwa, who is a member of girl group, SECRET. Her father, Han Wonbin, is an architect as well as a manager of a contracting company. Her mother, Han Hyunjae, is a housewife and has taught opera classes. She was born into the Han family as the only youngest heir. Her father, Han Wonbin, payed little attention to her as an infant. To their father, the older sister Han Sunhwa was seen as the prized child. Though, their father did not forget about her. Since the Han family was influential in Busan, she had to live up to the standards her older sister had set for her. She was trained in martial arts and drilled with the knowledge of different area from the age of three. Her mother, Han Hyunjae, loved to shower her with love and affection. She was her pride and joy. The darling daughter she had always wanted.

Fate, however, had a different plan for their family. Their mother developed a severe form of cancer. She had fought as hard as she could, but her body grew weaker each day. When she was seven, her father had gone to meet her at the school and informed her of their mother’s death. It was a traumatic blow for her. Her mother was the only source of kindness besides her brother. She made a promise to her mother, on her funeral day, that she would abide by what she had taught her the short time they were together. About three years after the death of his first wife, Han Wonbin remarried. Sunhwa and  Sunyoung were not fond of the new woman in their father’s life. She was abusive towards Sunyoung simply because of her small stature as the youngest. That ended when she started having children. Daughter after daughter after daughter. She would try her hardest to make them the center of attention, pushing Sunhwa and Sunyoung to the side. However, their father didn’t feel the same way. He believed his elder children needed to be molded to protect their new sisters. So even though their step-mother was cruel, they grew fond of their half sisters and protected them.

She was inspired by her late mother to involve with the music field. Her will even grew bigger when her sister got started as a trainee then debuted. She, herself had dance since she was seven, though not as proffesional dance. She auditioned for  Wonder Entertainment Casting System, auditioning by not singing but rather with her dinosaur impersonation followed by dancing and joined the company in 2008. She then underwent training for 4 years and 11 months She graduated from Jeongshin Women High School in 2013 and is attending Chung-Ang University.
