Lee Jinsu was born from a pure shapeshifter family. While his dad capable of shapeshifting into a Lion, which is inherited by Jinsu, and his mother was a mermaid which inherited by Yuri. Jinsu's father, Lee Yeonjae came from the city of Seoul while Jinsu's mother Choi Mira is a native of Gwangju citizen. They met during one of Lee Yeonjae assignment from his office and soon fell in love with each other and thus their children Lee Jinsu and Lee Yuri was born.

Jinsu first met with Hyeri when he was just 9 years old when Hyeri parents - close friends of Jisun's and Yuri's family - moving in into their neighborhood. Since both Yuri and Hyeri shared the same age they immediately become friends which automaticaly made her into Jisun's friend as well since Yuri and Jisun's were so close together.

One day when Jinsu was 20 Years Old their neighborhood was attacked by a group of Demons which seemed to be looking for something or someone. Even with all of the able Shapeshifters, Werewolves, fairies, and a group of Humans with psychic abilities defending the neighborhood, in the end almost all of them were killed... including Yuri, Jinsu's little sister.

With deep grieve they left Yuri's body and brought Jinsu running from those demons. On their way they found Hyeri sitting in the middle of the road crying, and besides her there's two bodies laying on the ground. And from the sides a demon slowly approaching her, ready to take her life... out of rage and worry Jinsu's innate were-lion powers awaken. He then used his power to attack and killed the demon.

But once the demon died... Jinsu realized that he just killed someone. With all the bloods on his hand he was shivering, he was in a state shock which caused him to pass out a few moments later. Jinsu parents then carry both Jinsu and Hyeri with them running from all the Demons that's chasing them. While on the run they came to pass Jisun's best friend, Siwon and Jonghyun which they take with them as well.

Both of Jinsu's parents  were killed protecting them from the Demons in order to distract the Demons from the place where they told Siwon and the others to hide... Jinsu's father last message was to go to De Le Morte where they will be save dan protected. Jinsu, Hyeri and his two best friends immediately headed towards De Le Morte once Siwon has make sure that Jinsu has awoken and the coast is clear.
