Shin Yin seems cold and distant at first, but is actually a really kind and sweet girl when you get to know her. She is quite a prankster and loves skinship with the members in the group. She always puts others before herself, and is willing to sacrifice her own happiness just to see the people she care about to be happy. She hates it when people sacrifice themselves for her. She is quite slow in knowing the happenings around her, therefore always getting reprimanded by the other members. She never gives up in what she do, especially her passion for Singing and Dancing (She LIVES to sing and dance). Shin Yin gives 110% of all she has to bring out the best in herself. Shin Yin can be really scary when she is infuriated or irritated.

Shin Yin absolutely loves to smile. And she looks like an angel when she did too. But she rarely did, as she was called ugly for smiling so much once when she was young. As she loves to see people smile, she always has her camera around with her, ready to snap photos of anyone smiling. However, Shin Yin, although may seem quite strong and dependable character due to her over-protectiveness over her friends, she is actually very vulnerable and breaks down when someone says she is useless or unimportant. But Shin Yin never cries in front of anyone, and will only do so when she is alone by herself. Shin Yin loves to sneak out of the dorm to star-gaze at the rooftop/lake at midnight, one of her favourite hobbies.

☆ Background Information. ☆

Shin Yin was born in Singapore as her family moved to Singapore before she was born. Shin Yin's mother passed away when she was really young, and thus Shin Yin is very independent [being the only female member in the family]. Shin Yin's father had strongly onjected to Shin Yin's dream of being an idol as he wanted her to have a stable job, but slowly accepted it due to Shin Yin's persistence. Shin Yin's brother left Singapore to study abroad in America. Shin Yin lived to sing and dance, practicing on her own at any place any time. Shin Yin had been strolling along the park, singing and doing slight dance moves while listening to music and she caught the attention of one of the CEOs of an Korean entertainment company [who had been there on a holiday]. Shin Yin was invited for a private audition where she got through, and left for Korea for her training. Her family visits her once in a while in Korea.
