Style: Quite boyish, wears skinny jeans and hoodies most of the time. She has contacts, but prefer wearing her spectacles. She only dolls up in dresses and skirts and wears her contacts when needed. She hates to put on make up, so she seldom did.

Personality: Shin Yin is a foregin transfer student in the school on a music scholarship. is cold and distant if you just met her, but she is actually really lively and kind if you get to know her better! She loves to smile and is quite the prankster. She always put others before herself, and is willing to sacrifice her own happiness just to ensure the people she cares about are happy. She enjoys clinging onto her friends [the other 6 applicants] and she smiles. alot. She never stops smiling. She is forever like a ball of sunshine around girls. She is also dense, really slow in catching onto stuff [i.e when someone falls for her, she doesn't realise] But there is one thing about Shin Yin: She detests boys. She had what her friends called, "boy phobia". She treats boys coldly and stay far away from them, making sure they are at least a metre away from her, a 180 different from how she treats girls. She slaps any boy's hand away if they dare to even touh her slightly. She shuns any boys who try to approach her or to talk to her. No boy had ever lay a hand on her before. That was till Myungsoo came along. Shin Yin may seem like a really happy-go-lucky girl, she is actually sensitve. However, she never cries in front of anyone, only to herself when she is alone.

Goh Hyu Sung [Age 51. Korean. Father. Music Teacher in a high school. Currently staying still in Singapore. Caring but harsh at times, disliked the idea of Shin Yin going to study abroad due to her phobia, but allowed her in the end as she wanted to pursue her dream as a singer]

Goh Wan Yi [Deceased. Chinese. Mother. She passed away due to an illness]

Goh Min Ki [Age 21. Half Korean Half Chinese. Brother. Studying abroad in America. Loves to tease Shin Yin, quite childish. Has a beautiful voice as well but preferred to be a vet than a vocalist.]

Background: Shin Yin's mom passed away when she was only about 4. Shin Yin was scarred in the past by a young boy before her arrival in Korea. She had confessed to a boy whom she had a crush on, only to get forcefully kissed and then rejected as the boy was just playing around with her. This is why Shin Yin detests boys as she believes that boys are out to play with other girls' feelings. She swore never to fall in love because when she did, she falls hard. [till myungsoo came along]

Best Friend(s): Chanhee, 17. Childhood friend. Quite cocky about his looks, but very protetive of Shin Yin. Shin Yin knew her before the 'kiss incident' so she didn't hate on him. The only boy [other than her family] that can have contact with Shin Yin without getting beaten up by her.

Partner: Myungsoo

First impression of partner: They met when in the music room when Shin Yin was practicing her vocals. Myungsoo was captivated by her voice, and when he introduced himself, Shin Yin just headed for the door, distancing away from him as far as possible. But Myungsoo tried to stop her from leaving, wanting to confront her rudeness, only to get punched in the face the moment he placed a hand on her shoulder. Myungsoo started his search for her around the school, to demand an apology at the same time get her to like him as he hated being... hated. yet slowly he himself started to fall for her cute personality that she only showed in front of girls. From then on, he follows her everywhere. Myungsoo tries ways to show his attraction towards, Shin Yin, but she never notices, just finding him weird [which goy Myungsoo frustrated easily]. Shin Yin was irritated at first as she was getting picked on by girls who were jealous, but starts to develop feelings unknowingly due to Myungsoo's derpy attitude and how he always try to make her smile [she never smiles at boys, only girls]. She realises that although Myungsoo was cold most of the times, he looked really angeli when he smiled. she only starts to realise her feelings when she found out that she didn't seem to react when Myungsoo made contact with her.
