First of all, I cannot stand it when I read someone say that people who ship boy/boy pairings only do that so that they don't have to see their bias with a female because we have some messed up, delusional idea that this gives us the chance to marry our bias later.

Ahem, that is completely untrue. If so, then why do straight girls ship girl/girl couples?

For example, I freakin' ship EunHae like there's no tomorrow. I love them to death. I am definitely going to admit that Hyukjae is my Super Junior bias. However, I shipped EunHae before I even learned all of Super Junior's names and before I even became biased towards Hyukjae.

Also, I am about ten years younger than Hyukjae and the rest of my biases. Even though I adore him to death and want to squish him, I in no way want to date him. That would make him a e, actually. After all, I am biased due to the fact that my biases are my ideal man -- but also my ideal guy best friend. All of my biases have amazing smiles, amazing personalities, and an amazing sense of humor. Yet, if given the chance, I wouldn't date them. Again, I am too young.

So then why do I ship boy/boy pairings?

Because they're cute! Because some things just can't be explained with close friendship! I mean, sure, friends share water, stand close to each other, eat together, etc. ; they share clothing even. But I don't sleep with my friends - even at sleepovers, we keep a distance - and I don't try to always touch them and everything. I don't stare at them with that undeniably perfect look.

And that is why I ship boy/boy pairings.

* the main reason I wrote this was to vent my anger towards those who /do/ ship couples in order to get away from the fact that their bias might date a woman other than herself, and to show that I am honestly not one of those type of girls. I have a grip on reality.
