The Power of the Ship

And NO I don't mean this kind of ship...

Let's talk about the lovely yet hectic world of Shipping

 

I love a good pairing just as much as anyone else, but where do we draw the line? What's the deal with people causing so much ruckous over a ship? Comments like '*gasp* How dare you pair Chanyeol and Kris together. Baekyeol 4 life! 'and 'Ewww Sekai! Never!' are seen all the time. No one pairing is set in stone, so why fight about it? Why bother having wars about OTPs that were originally created by our own imagination? Sure, we've all witnessed the bromance and skinship. It's amazing, right! But we have to remember these idols that we ship are best friends who live with one another, work with one another, and even dine together. They're close for these very reasons. Whether they're actually *together* is debatable, but that's not the point. Can we just sit back and enjoy the loveliness of Jongkey, 2min, ontae, minkey, kaisoo, hunhan, baekyeol, krisyeol, xiuchen, sulay, taoris, and all the other beautiful pairings? Stop with all the wars and be breezy, mkay?

Shipping makes me happy but fanwars do not make me happy >< I mean, none of our OTP's are ever going to happen probably be it boyxboy girlxgirl or boyxgirl ^^; They might date other people and not their band member or someone outside the agency who knows.

I think shipping is perfectly cool, but if one becomes obsessive and delusional? They need to take a looooong break if you ask me -__- I have my ships to as I said and I kind of wish some were real, but at the same time, I'd just be happy with whoever they decided to date or marry.

I don't get the "ship" at all. Someone had to explain to me why women get into the "ship." My ship sailed a long time ago.

Yeah I agree~~ they are best friends and you just happened to catch them together in a gif or a picture. Big deal. It's not like they're lovers. Though I wish they would be. XD /slapped for spoiling the moment/

I am no shipper but shippers should mind their own shipping business. No need to force it down another or put down another ship. Just enjoy shipping with fellow shippers :) And tag properly! Lol

while i dont care about the combination of ships out there (i like it when there are more than one pairing too lol), some of the pairings are more comfortable and believable than others (i suppose). The chemistry we can see in one pairing is different to others and we're reacting to that (unless you're onew, because he's pretty much the same ship with EVERYONE (imo) and i don't know how).

the wars start because they believe in one more than the others.

but, like you say, the otp wars are silly and people should respect what others prefer :)
