Jaejoong x Nana

When and how could you first ship them?

All thanks to kpop-het.livejournal.com, where I first found out this beautiful crack pairing. There is admittedly, not a lot of Jaenana fanfic in that site (or in other site *sigh, Jaenana is so underrated). I just wanted to try something out of my usual supergeneration preference, and I just browsed through the lj's pairing tags, spotted Jaenana, and decided to give them a chance, and of course, I will never regret it.

The credit should go to georgia/uljima, actually. Her fic "if you're afraid of wolves, don't go to the woods" is just so... powerful, and by the time I finished reading that one-shot, I was already head over heels with Jaenana.

Why do you ship them?

Please. Look at them, just look at them, sadfjkldslka. I know this is a shallow reason for shipping, but I do believe that they're the most beautiful pairing in kpop industry –yes, even compared to my other OTPs. Whenever I make edits of them, I can't help but to always mutter "damn, nana is so gorgeous" or "jaejoong is just such a beautiful man" and of course, them combined, I would always think "my goodness, just how merciful God is in creating such beautiful people together!"

And then there is this... air of haughtiness that they always seem to effortlessly carry. Those who follow my Heesica's essay might have a clue on how attracted I am to this kind of couple.  This air that they seem to carry always is appealing to my shipping muse. More on this on the next question.

Fanfic-wise / muse-wise, what and how do you picture them?

This element may not be important to some people, but to me, it is. Sometimes, more than the actual moments that a pairing has, the possibilities/ideas/images/feels that they're trying to inspire me with is what actually makes me root a couple –even one that has practically zero moments like Jaenana.

That being said, the way that I picture Jaenana in my head is that they are two superior people. You know, the kind of people who do not need to show themselves, but will be effortlessly noticeable –the aura and charisma that they have is undeniable. Georgia's illustration on Nana's character in her fics always nails it for me, although I kind of prefer Jaejoong to be more "dominant" still.

Is this the type of pairing that you can picture to be R-rated?

Ahahahhaa, me and my absurd question. But yeah, definitely. I cannot deny how y they look together and the image of a possessive love with a bit of play-hard-to-get strategy fits them well.

What moments are you waiting for them?

At this rate, them being in one show and addressing each other would be enough. But if I can fangirl a bit more, I would kill for a photoshoot of Jaejoong and Nana together. I really want to be an influential Korean entertainment person sometimes –that way, I will definitely create a lot of opportunities for my OTPs.

What do you associate Jaenana mostly with?

As much as I hate to say this, but, I associate Jaenana's concept with Vampires. Please note, I hate vampire concept and unless an extremely good ones, I don't usually even glance at a vampire fanfic/story.

But I can't help it with Jaenana. As much as I hate the vampire concept, thinking of Jaenana automatically makes me think of vampire –and they'd both be two gorgeous vampires. There's something rather satanic about them both, they just look good as vampires, I guess. Hahaha.

Who are the possible pairing competitors for them?

Hmm, I don't really follow TVXQ/JYJ or After School, so I don't really know who are the people that Jaejoong and Nana actually have a lot of moments with. I don't think there's any pairing that's wrecking my Jaenana's shipping preference.

What are your favorite fanworks about them?

Georgia's fanfics, of course, should be put on the Jaenana's Hall of Fame. I will never stop complimenting how beautiful Georgia's "if you're afraid of wolves, don't go to the wood", but Georgia's "waiting for the white dress girl" will be my ultimate favorite Jaenana fic so far. I love the stylistic in the former more, but story concept, conclusion, and everything else, I'm leaning more to the latter.  "waiting for the white dress girl" is just written in pure perfection, and I'd gladly recommend this fic to anyone who's looking for a beautiful Jaenana –and kpop – fanfic, at that.

Anyone you want to thank particularly for Jaenana?

Besides God for making the most beautiful pairing? Ah, Georgia would definitely be in the list. If it were not for her fics, I wouldn't be in love with Jaenana.

What are your own tribute to them?

Did some edits about them. Am working on an FMV for them. And am planning for a long fic for them.

What are your opinion on Jaenana fandoms?

(dead silence)

Ahahaha, I mean, I really don't know a lot of people who actually ship Jaenana. In my OTP list, Jaenana definitely has the least shippers (and this pumps my spirit in developing and exposing this pairing more). I think people will generally agree that Jaenana is a beautiful pairing, but aside from Georgia and douc (her fic is also a kill), I'm not exactly sure how many other people who ship Jaenana for real. Sure, in my semi-contest page, there are some potential Jaenana shippers, and I'd love to see the fandom grows more. Jaenana has very little amount of fanworks, and I do wish people will start paying attention to them more.

Another thing that I wish, is that a fandom name for Jaenana. I really cannot think of any name, seriously. But I hope the fandom will grow bigger and someone will come up with a beautiful name for our beautiful pairing.

Arghhh, this is hard. I'd initially say "beautiful", but surely I need something more than that for Jaenana. Thinking about "vampire" but I don't really like the idea of it (despite me thinking the concept fits Jaenana like a second skin). Ah, I really can't think of anything at the moment.
