background: Ahyoung grew up as the oldest child in a lower-middle class family. They had everything they needed, but very little excess. Her father lives and works in America (Merced, California to be specific) in order to provide better money for his family than he could working in South Korea, so she only sees him once or twice a year. Her family was supposed to move with him once they had saved up enough money to relocate, but when she was 13 she had been accepted into SM Entertainment's trainee program after a successful audition. Her mother and younger brother moved to the be with her father in California when she was 16 while she elected to stay behind and live in one of SM's trainee dorms until she was able to achieve her dream of debuting as a K-pop idol.

 

personality: Ahyoung can light up any room with vivacious personality and bright smile (when she actually decides to show it). She's a social butterfly and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Talking is her speciality. Thinking about what's she going to say before she begins speaking? Not so much. And she has quite the mouth on her, which leads to some amusing, snarky one-liners but is also capable of getting her into trouble. She has a hard time not being a snarky little to people who she instantly assumes are looking down on her for not coming from a privileged family (the rich kids decked in designer clothes with the ability to afford the latest phones and attend the best private academies after school... people like Park Chanyeol). She's a bit judgemental like that. She's mostly been impulsive and flies through life by the seat of her pants. She's a very in-the-moment kind of person and often finds herself taking a personal time out and backtracking to figure out how she ended up in her current situation. While she may regret some of her decisions, she's extremely happy that she doesn't go through life wondering "what if..."

personality: Ravi is full of confidence and a bit boisterous. He's a loud, fun, happy-go-luck kind of guy 99% of the time but he's all charisma on stage. He can get pretty competitive under the right circumstances. He's also extremely possessive. The quickest way to get on Ravi's nerves is to touch or take something of his without permission. He's not big on skinship, but he has quite a way with words and enjoys telling the people who are important to him just how special they are to him. Oh, and he has a horrible sense of humor (like, dead baby/helen keller jokes horrible).

relation: Strangers for now, she knows of him and his group and has respect for him as a sunbae.

first meet: Refrain performs at the yearly Gayo Daejun concert after their debut. VIXX is on stage right before them. As VIXX is coming offstage and Refrain is going on, Ravi and Ahyoung bump into one another. He apologizes and tries to move around her but they keep trying to move in the same direction. Eventually they give up and awkwardly laugh for a second. To break the awkwardness, Ahyoung introduces herself and then moves passed Ravi to take her place on stage.
