The Cold War

Cecilia is a Lyrath born through the feline eyes of a Chimera suffering at the hands of a six year old war between her ancestors and only savours. She unwillingly watches as Lament falls apart around her, clinging onto everyday as she and her race are forced to pay for the mistakes they did not make.

Children do not choose to live this way.

But not everyone will sit and watch as the world is consumed by hatred and sorrow. When Cecilia is saved by a Human and his party, she picks her fate up and decides its path. With the unlikely help of two Humans, an Elf, Angel and more this war can finally be put to an end, but only at a deathly cost.

The Elementors

Esmè Bevel is the Elven teenager who has learnt the hard way that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Her job is solid proof that sacrifices must be made in order for life to go on, and the longer she lives the more pain she presents herself with as she only adds of the list of things she must leave behind.

An Elementor is born for the people and Esmè accepts her fate fairly easily, knowing that if she doesn’t carry out her wish people will die.

But when she sets off on her journey with a boisterous Human Prince that knows less than he thinks, his two best friends – a female knight from a noble family and newbie mage that creates more trouble than he wishes – as well as her Lepus protector, she runs into more obstacles than she had originally thought she would. The journey was never meant to be easy, but it was never meant to be so hard, either.

Lament;
The Sky Pirates

Jared Bennett is the Earth bound Human that always dreamt of leaving his remote little village for a life in the Sky. He had always been stuck in the same loop, constantly telling his childhood friend that one day they’d up and leave the boring life and fly free with the clouds.

It was a farfetched dream. A small hope that although the boy clung onto it, had never believed it would come true.

So when a charming Sky Pirate and her crew are left ship wrecked just a little ways from his village, Jared vows to do everything in his power to convince them to let him join them – even if it means sneaking on board and stowing away. But the Pirates’ life isn’t everything it was made out to be, especially when an unknown force is threatening to take their hard earned freedom away from them.

For those wondering about why I'm doing this, its simply to show people the basic storyline of the books. Yes, its different characters in each story because the Lament series focuses on the world as it changes, not solely on the characters and their interactions.
