Personality:

Off stage, Jaehyun is an extremely loud and cheerful person. She doesn't try to fight for the spotlight, but because of her bizzare antics, people tend to focus on her. She's really random, and will space out for a while, before asking her members something completely unrelated to the current topic that they're discussing about. Jaehyun is also very talkative, and because of her randomness, a conversation with her never ends.

However, even with her outgoing personality and talkativeness, Jaehyun finds trouble in making friends. She doesn't take the initiative to talk to others when they meet, and prefers to stick with the people she knows. She also finds trouble in expressing her love for others. Even though it may seem simple to say 'I love you' to others, Jaehyun finds it awkward and uncomfortable if used in a serious situation. She's fine with shouting out 'I love you!' to the fans, and also saying it in funny situations, but when it becomes a heart to heart talk with others, she'll start to feel awkward. To add on to that, she also has difficulty in telling others her problems, and prefers to keep them to herself or write them in a diary.

Jaehyun can also be really hyperactive at times. She often seems to have never-ending energy and can still be active and playful after a long day of training. She has fairly good stamina, and is always seen jumping around the training room when everyone has collapsed on the floor from fatigue. But after a few minutes, she'll follow her members and will sit on the floor. However, Jaehyun has a temper in the morning. She hates being woken up early, and tends to snap at others when they try talking to her in the morning. Also, she's a heavy sleeper so it takes a great amount of time just to wake her up.

On stage, the most important think to Jaehyun would be to do her best. Some might say that she has a split personality, but it's because she's being serious. There are times though, when her playful side gets out and she starts to fool around on stage. But that's usually during the breaks between the performances/rehearsals. 

There isn't much difference in Jaehyun's personality on cam and off cam, but maybe she's more outgoing when no cameras are filming.

Background: 

Jaehyun was born in a well-to-do family in Seoul, South Korea. Her father is a pilot and her mother is currently a housewife. Her mother used to have an occupation, but because of an injury to her spine, she had stopped work and became a housewife. Ever since she was young, her siblings have always enjoyed music; her sister knew how to play the piano and a little bit of the guitar, and her brother was often heard running around the house singing. Even though the members of the Yook family are constantly very busy (excluding her mother), they're able to maintain a close relationship via video calls.

Out of all the members of the Yook family, Jaehyun is closest to her older brother, maybe because of their small . They are always bickering alot, and always call each other names and insult one another. But in the end, they really love and care about each other. Jaehyun is quite close to her sister. Her sister is interested in being a paediatrician, and because of their big , Jaehyun's sister treats her like how she would treat her patients when she becomes a paediatrician (or maybe even better). Jaehyun is not very close with both her parents. Her father because he's constantly flying so they can't meet up much - even though they video chat, it doesn't mean that she doesn't feel awkward when left in the room alone with him. Her mother stays at home most of the time, but because she's bored, she calls her other non-working friends over often. Jaehyun doesn't like talking to her mother's friends, because they'll always gush about how cute and pretty she is. Hence, she doesn't spend alot of time talking to her mother either.

While watching a TV show when she was six, Jaehyun saw a small clip of ballet dancers. From there, she started becoming interested in ballet, and requested to take ballet classes. There have been times when Jaehyun was really frustrated because she seemed to be the worst in her class and her interest in ballet dropped so much that she had intentions to quit. But after her dance teacher scolded her class about how they weren't putting in enough effort, and if they kept that attitude up, they wouldn't be sent for the examinations, Jaehyun decided to work harder in ballet. Bit by bit, her interest in ballet came back. She also started to gain more interest in dance, and signed up for a hip hop class. 

When she was 12, her brother announced that he wanted to become an idol. At that time, their parents were not to supportive of it, since they didn't know much about being an idol. But after great efforts in convincing their parents, they allowed her brother to go for auditions. Since she's close to her brother, she tagged along for the audition, and decided to audition as well. Both siblings then got accepted into Cube Entertainment and started their training there. After a year, she participated in a trainee transfer and transferred over to SM Entertainment.

Personality: Taemin is a naturally cute guy that tries to prove to the people around him that he's manly. He always does things that makes him seem manlier to the people around him, and loves it when someone tells him that he's manly. He is also an extrememly forgetful and careless person. He tends to misplace this things alot, and drops whatever he's holding easily. Hence, most of this belongings have 'battle scars' from when Taemin dropped them. Taemin is kind, and does his best to help others. Taemin is shy around the people he's just met, and usually wouldn't take the initiative to speak to others. But when he becomes close to someone, he talks alot.

How you met: When Jaehyun first went to SM, she was texting her brother and accidentally walked into Taemin. After apologising and going their own ways, they kept bumping into each other throughout the day. Bit by bit, every meeting by every meeting, they slowly started becoming friends. 

How you interact: Taemin and Jaehyun don't talk to each other much, because Taemin is extremely busy. But they often text one another and sometimes they would meet up within SM. They can't go out together, since it could cause scandals. Taemin thinks of Jaehyun as a little sister he's never had, and Jaehyun thinks of Taemin as the annoying brother that can temporarily replace her biological brother whom she misses. Jaehyun also likes to bicker with Taemin from time to time over the simplest of things.

Personality: Ilhoon is a humorous person that can light up any dark space. He's often seen to be extremely cheerful and bubbly, and can comfort people well. But even with his wide vocabulary and fast reaction speed, Ilhoon is not a good freestyle rapper. Yes, he's a rapper, but it takes him time to think of a rap. Ilhoon also likes to show aegyo, but hates skinship, so he avoids people when they want to pinch his cheeks because he's cute.

How you met: Ilhoon is Sungjae's friend, and when Jaehyun was still in Cube, Sungjae introduced Ilhoon to Jaehyun.

How you interact: They are very close and can read each other like a book. Hence, they aren't afraid to throw playful insults at each other. Since the both of them can talk very quickly, they're always thought to be to arguing in gibberish even though they're actually speaking Korean. People around them like to call them an 'old married couple' to which they'll jump away from each other and exclaim "ew! who wants you?". Even though Ilhoon says that, he secretly rejoices that they're called a married couple.

Soljin also lives by the motto "keep your friends close, and enemies closer" and tries to get close to Jaehyun. But Jaehyun knows about what Soljin truly thinks of her. She might seem like the worst combination for a human, but Soljin is filial to her parents and feels thankful towards them. She would do anything for them. 

How you interact: Soljin constantly tries to get close to Jaehyun, and wants to follow her everytime Jaehyun goes for training. She hopes that by doing so, she'll get scouted into SM. Jaehyun is always annoyed at Soljin, and does her best to hide from her everytime she's about to go for training.

Scene request:

1. It is not announced that Jaehyun is Sungjae's sister, and it's not obvious either because they don't really look alike. So during an interview, she jokes about how she's her brother's biggest fan but also his biggest anti. The MC is then shocked and asks who her brother is, and that is where people find out that she's Sungjae's sister.
2. One day Soljin actually manages to follow Jaehyun into SM Entertainment without Jaehyun's knowledge. It was only until Jaehyun went to the practice rooms and the other members ask her who's following her that she realises she's being tailed by Soljin. Jaehyun tries to get rid of Soljin, but Soljin is stubborn and stays until their manager (or minder, if they're still trainees) scolds her for being there. 
3. Bless has to go on a show that requires them to be on a boat. At first, Jaehyun's fine with it, and goes along with the plan. However, they soon have forfeits in which they'd have to go down to the sea and swim ten metres away from the boat and back. Jaehyun ends up losing the game and has to go down to the sea. She becomes terrified and filming ends up being put on hold for a while to calm her down. In the end, Jaehyun gets another member to do the forfeit for her.
