while i'm fighting myself alone in my time, i'm finding myself little by little

background - born as the maknae of her family, she's involuntarily pushed into having the image that she can never really achieve anything by herself, since she's only a baby. while her older sister and brother are able to go for the classes that they intend to go for, she's told to just stay at home and not injure herself. she admits that she isn't the most careful person out there, but hates it that they think she'll never be able to be independent. aside from that, jinhyun would be the last child to be born in her family, since her mother suffered from fibroids a year after jinhyun's birth. after her mother's operation to remove the fibroids, the doctor told them that it would be impossible for mrs. han to ever concieve again. since jinhyun is the youngest, they want her to remain as the baby in the house, because they know they'll never have another baby of theirs to take care of again after jinhyun grows up. 
                          from young, jinhyun has always enjoyed singing, and would be found belting out a thousand different songs with her older brother at home. her parents are fine with the fact that jinhyun wants to be a singer, even though they would prefer that she had another occupation. however, her parents didn't really think she'd have enough determination to be able to make it, so they just think that if she's able to do it, she will. but if she can't she'll have to find a decent job. 

personality - sick and tired of being treated like a baby who can't do anything, jinhyun has always tried to grow up quick and be like her older siblings. no matter how small the , she'll always be the maknae of the family and no matter how old she is, she'll always be treated like a baby. hence, jinhyun is mature and sensible, but there are times where she'd become really childish. rare, but it happens. mostly when she's with her close friends. 
                          upset about how people often think that she wouldn't be able to achieve anything, she's extremely determined and would never give up without a fight. but that's only when she really wants something. she's quite a lazy girl, but knows when to work hard. when she was younger, she used to be a crybaby. but as she grew older, she learnt how to hide her feelings and doesn't cry much infront of others anymore. infact, she hates crying infront of others because she knows that she'll be treated like a helpless child again. 
                            extremely stubborn, jinhyun hates it when people try to change her views on the things around her. hardly anyone can change her opinions unless they back it up with sufficient and logical explanation. she can also seem quite rude to people, especially when they start treating her like a child. whenever someone does that, she scowls and tells whoever it is that she can do it herself, and doesn't need their help. 

fashion style - jinhyun's style is simple. really really simple. she doesn't like to wear big fanciful clothes, because she prefers comfort over everything else. she doesn't have a very good sense of style and cannot match her clothes well, so she's often seen wearing a plain coloured shirt, with a long necklace, and shorts or jeans.

love interest - lee taemin

their story - they appeared on a drama together as the main characters. at first, they were quite awkward with each other since they've only met at music shows prior to the filming. also, they didn't have much in common in their interests so they weren't able to talk about much. but as the filming progressed, they found that they had more and more things in common and became closer. since they're idols, they aren't able to go out very often, but they text each other alot.
                         gradually, their feelings started to grow. but because taemin is on we got married with naeun, he's afraid of asking her out due to the publics reaction on his 'relationship' with naeun. jinhyun too, didn't dare to confess to taemin since she thought that taemin had feelings for naeun. hence, they ended up as close friends that are crushing for each other, but don't dare to say anything. (i hope it's fine that they don't end up dating, but maybe they will start dating further along?)

 

back up love interest - yook sungjae

their story - before jinhyun debuted, she followed her brother to one of vixx's bowling date with btob (the one in mtv diary). she stayed out of the camera during the filming, and was able to become fast friends with sungjae because of their small . sometimes when jinhyun hangs out with her brother, she'll also meet sungjae since they're close. at first, they were a little awkward with each other - they were friends, but sometimes they ran out of things to talk about. hence, they're usually seen together with sanghyuk being the third wheel. 
                         after hanging out with jinhyun for a very long time, sungjae managed to muster up the courage to ask her out. however, at that time, jinhyun wasn't interested in him and didn't give him a proper answer when she was asked to be his girlfriend. but as time passed, jinhyun couldn't stop thinking about sungjae's confession and ended up falling for him as well. also, after she 'rejected' him, sungjae distanced himself from her, so she also missed his presence. in the end, jinhyun tells sungjae that she's also interested in him. at first, sungjae thought she was just pitying him, but after much reasoning from her, he ends up believing her.

official fanclub name: mak-sshi (it's the combination of 'maknae' and 'ciera/씨에라"'. also a pun, because adding a 'sshi' behind someone's name is to be respectful, yet she's the maknae)

trainee background: jinhyun didn't really bother to interact much with her trainees (except jacelyn), so not much happened during her trainee year. most of the trainees don't bother talking to her either. there are rumours among that trainees that jinhyun was able to get in because her brother is also in jellyfish. of course this isn't the truth, but jinhyun doesn't find the need in clarifying herself and spent most of her time practicing. she also isn't a good student, not saying that she does badly (but she doesn't do that well either), more like she doesn't do her homework often. 

total years training: 1. she entered with sanghyuk.

weak points: breathes quite loudly, so if the dance is vigourous, the microphone often picks up the noise. 
                         if she's too nervous, she might not be able to hit higher notes.

scene requests: jinhyun starts feeling homesick and cries when it's her sister's birthday. she hides in bathroom to cry. the members aren't able to get in, so they look for sanghyuk to help her. when sanghyuk comes, she chases all of them away becuase she doesn't want to be treated like a baby again. 
                              jinhyun wakes up extremely early one morning and isn't able to fall back asleep. so she ends up having breakfast in the dark. when another member wakes up and is about to turn on the light in the living room, she immediately says "please don't turn the lights", giving that member a shock. (it's best if this happens to the most timid member)
