Which Entertainment: SM Ent- They picked Chan Yoon because they found her performance very interesting. She had a boyish personality and her voice was very angelic. Her dancing was genderless and her looks were perfect. She wasn't good in all 3 areas but singing was her forte. Truthfully, the reason why she auditioned was because she lost a bet with her brother.
 
Personality: Chan Yoon has a boyish personality. She isn't a pure tomboy because her girlyness can get in the way. She is like a older sibling/parent figure. She cares about the members alot and she would do anything to make them happy. She is sort of quiet but when it comes to certain things (like food) she becomes loud. She is a very bipolar person at times. She has a hint of 4Dness in her personality. She can be a choding sometimes aswell. She likes to be immature when she mood is down. Being a choding has many advantages. On camera she is quiet but friendly and happy and off camera she is protective and very strong willed. Chan Yoon likes trying new things, whether it is changing her look or being rebellious for the day, the list goes on and on.

Brief Biography: Chan Yoon was born in Daegu. She has an older brother that is an idol from the boy group SHINee. Kim Kibum or Key is her older brother and they grew up together. Chan Yoon was more of the boy in the family and Key was more of the girl. Chan Yoon's first dream was to become a music teacher but she gave up that dream as her parents enrolled her into a music school. She learnt how to love music and from there on, her dream was to become a musician/idol. She liked singing and dancing to trot music.
