Cecilia sat on the floor and watched as the building fell to nothing but rubble. She stared wide-eyed, taking a moment to comprehend what had just happened as she rubbed her sore arm. Shouts and screams were heard around her, but the Lyrath girl simply sat and watched, the horror of what had just happened yet to set in.
Her thoughts wondered aimlessly. A sudden tired daze replaced the adrenaline she had felt only seconds before when it was her the large beast was headed for. But now that she was sat just out of danger’s reach, a dizzy sensation captivated her. Her gaze was blank, and even as the snow-blonde boy tugged at her arm, willing her to get up, she had no idea what was going on.
“Cecilia. Cecilia get up.” Evan repeated as his angelic hands wrapped around the Lyrath’s slim arm. “I’m being serious Cecilia, now isn’t the time for games!”
Still unaware of what was happening, the eleven year old stood. Her legs shook dramatically, and as though the sudden movement had triggered something, she looked up and into the stern, golden eyes of Evan. “Lumia…”
Her brows furrowed with worry as she looked at the paled face of the Angel, hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Cecilia’s gaze slowly returned to the fallen building, both Alexander and Edwin fighting against the rubble as they dug for their buried friend.
