he got into fights cuz he was an easy target and he probably got cut from the fight

There are too possible stories to beleive.

One where Luhan was trying to help a friend, but in the end he took the physical damage for something his friend did.

And then there's another story about how people who held grudges against Luhan (soccer teams who lost to Luhan) teamed up against Luhan and attacked him.

Appearantly there is another rumour that it was from a fight with a group of guys nd he was probably alone, u can read it from here, its a post from one of the guys that wanted to ruin his face nd i bet he was one of the main guys. Hello, Luhan got hit by someone when he was helping his friend out in his school days. The blame somehow got shifted onto Luhan and he got punched in the face.
