i've downloaded the movie ages ago but i've never given it a second glance. i thought it was a football-focused movie. and as someone who isn't into sports, it wasn't interesting to me. but, oh, how wrong i was. tonight, because my sister was bored, i went through our movie stash. i thought, hey, sandra won an oscar for this, why not give it a try?

so yeah, i played it on vlc with no expectations whatsoever. i never thought i'd be enjoying it. but i went awwww so many times, and i had to wipe tear off my face just as much. i said to myself, do people like these really exist? i mean, with that big a heart. she didn't even think twice to let this huge black man inside her house, her home, her family. and the family, too. they're just too selfless to be true. and what do you know? they do exist. because the movie is a ing true story.

i'd love to be like them. i hope i will be.
