Pride and Prejudice.

I have always been partial to this Jane Austen classic. Always. I've read the book, watched the Colin Firth adaptation, watched the Keira Knightley movie, watching The Lizzie Bennet Diaries now.

I've seen the sequel around (Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife), but I've always just brushed it off. A few days ago, I downloaded the epub version and read it on my phone, and then read the sequel to the sequel (Darcy & Elizabeth; Days and Nights at the Pemberley). Both are supposedly novels but then they were published waaaaaay before the shades trilogy so it's not THAT explicit.

Anyway, (spoiler alert?) it came as a pleasant surprise how in the 'third' installment, Georgiana took on a husband--in a very deceitful way. I loved it. I loved it oh so much. I mean, in the books (yes even in the sequels) and the adaptations, Darcy's sister is very sheltered, quited, sophisticated, and very much protected by her brother. Gaaah. I can't really tell why I loved it--or whether it's the fact that she went head on in a place that's basically a war theater, or maybe it's who she ended up with, or maybe it's how she'd had all of them (Darcy, Elizabeth, and her husband) strung up in the lie she fed them? Or maybe it's all of that combined and the image of Georgiana that's embedded in me.

Anyway, for Pride and Prejudice lovers out there, are you watching The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on Youtube? Darcy is growing on me (the guy--his face--playing him, because Darcy is Darcy, really). Charlotte is pure love, and Charles Bingley's counterpart is adorbs. :)
