{ why apply? }
Other than the plotlines sound incredibly amazing? Or that it's EXO-related? Gawrd, this is quite a predicament for me XD *bricked* Honestly, my friend and I found this together and fell in love with it at the same time (this happened in school btw. We were browsing AFF in school bwaha!). What caught my attention first was the fact that it shared the title of the anime I remember, so I was like, "WHAAAAT. ARE YOU SIRIUS?", and then I read the plotlines, realized it was EXO and fell in love. ;u;
Also, I haven't applied in a long time so... it brings back good memories.
This definitely brought AFF back to life for me you have no idea ;u;

01 ) Umma (엄마) - Aeyoung's 5 year-old son calls her this because literally, she is his umma.

{ appearance }
Aeyoung has short light to golden brown hair with sleek, side-swept bangs. She once had long hair but after breaking things off with her ex-boyfriend, giving birth and experiencing some flaming hate from society, she had cut it off - a sort of symbolic action to start anew. She has chocolate brown to black eyes. She has a somewhat small body frame for her age.

{ style }
Clothes | Aeyoung often dresses like a young professional. Her clothings are usually long sleeved blouses or up till the elbows. She's a conservative dresser, rarely wearing shorts or loose clothings (like oversized sweaters and hanging shirts). She's often seen wearing blouses with matching skirts or a shirt with a cardigan and jeans. Her choice of design for her clothing is usually either checkered or plain.
sample: 01 | 02 | 03 | 04 | 05 | 06

Shoes | Aeyoung prefers wearing flats rather than high-heeled shoes, only because it's easier to move especially since she has a child to fret over. She prefers simple footwear that doesn't stand out because she's, again, a conservative dresser.
sample: 01 | 02 | 03

Accessories | She doesn't wear flashy accessories, or a lot for that matter. Her choice of bags are usually shoulder bags because she can easily slip in her hand to get something for her or for her son. She doesn't go for the bags with patterns, she's more into plain colored bags.

{ extra }
As mentioned earlier, Aeyoung used to have long hair before cutting it. This was what she looked like when her hair was long.

{ personality }
When Aeyoung was a child, she was just like any other kid in the city. She was happy and easy-going with a little budding desire to have a perfect family - that includes having a mom and a dad that loved each other. It was an innocent wish. One that would never be fulfilled. She grew up in a household that was always full of tension and bottled up emotions. She slowly grew to be a sensitive person, thinking that it was because of her that her home was the way it was. She became more reserved and submissive, a breathing being born to serve others. Even at a young age, Aeyoung had been prone to wanting to please others before pleasing herself. She would act out accordingly, like a little young lady to please her parents and to coax them into thinking how wonderful and mature their child is. However, Aeyoung's sensitivity and emotional roller-coasters in her past had led her to experience bouts of depression

It was not after meeting her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend and giving birth to her son that Aeyoung's personality somehow lightened up. For one thing, she outgrew her depression attacks but is still a sensitive and detail-oriented individual, a perfectionist of a sort. She seems to be a hard person to get close to because of her seemingly secured and wired personality, however, that is hardly the case - because if there is one thing that stands out in her personality, it's the fact that she is a completely selfless individual. She still puts others' needs first before hers, taking the whole motherly role to a totally different level. She's the kind of girl that would always be seen asking, "How are you?", "Are you all right?", "Do you need help?", "Do you need someone to talk to?". This is partly due to the fact that her own child is the kind of child that does not express a lot of emotions. Unsure of what to do with a child that rarely expresses himself, she would shower him with attention and maternal care, so much that it's become a habit to her. It almost feels like she'll snap her neck, turning around to every person she deems to need help. Aeyoung is sensitive, that includes what other people think of her. Having a label 'young mother' above her head, she feels obligated to set things straight for herself and for the sake of her child, because really, who would want to grow up and see your own mother being criticized by society? Probably not her son. Aeyoung's selfless attitude is once again reflected here. In order to set things straight with others, she practically sacrifices herself to make others like her, though usually that's not the case. People would think she's trying too hard to blend in society again, but some mistakes just can't be forgotten so easily.

For this young mother, emotions run deeper than blood sometimes, and even small slights from the past resonate down to her very core. When hurt or disappointed, she will retreat completely into her "shell" and become unreachable, defensive even, for a period of time. If she ever fails or makes a mistake, she will brood about it for a long time and will almost never shrug it off and try again. She has this tendency to bottle up her anxiety to appear strong in order to get along with others and for the sake of her child. She may hold in her emotions until she explodes. She may also get easily 'wound up', oversensitive and may tend to overreact, especially over others' problems, like a nagging mother. Aeyoung's obvious weakness is that she is so used to taking care of others that she doesn't really know how to take care of herself sometimes. She always seems to be in a constant struggle against the clock. Oftentimes, she quickly becomes impatient with delays and unproductive time, scheduled commitments that are too tight and the like. It's important to remember that Aeyoung's emotions sometimes overrule her more sensible side.

Aeyoung is guarded when it comes to falling in love, for obvious reasons. She does have guy friends but it's just up that - friends. It's not easy to get her to fall in love again just because she doesn't want to make the same mistake again. But if you do get her out of her "shell" and become her romantic partner, she will be the kind of partner who will be caring, insightful and sentimental. She will always demand complete honesty and fidelity, having learned from past experiences over it. She may have a sharp tongue when she is provoked or when her child and parenting skills are being judged. She prefers someone who is stable and loyal and who will be able to accept her and her son, focusing on home and family from time to time as she is such a home-bound person. She also wouldn't mind someone who will take care of her or at least show her that she doesn't have to carry the burden of others' problems like a mother all the time - someone who could take her mind off of that side of life. She may be strongly protective towards her partner because she has the need to care for others and she doesn't want another partner leaving her again, whatever reason that may be. This lavish attention may be a bit smothering, however, and if Aeyoung does not feel her efforts being appreciated, she will fall into a deep funk that may be quite hard to reverse since she particularly likes to dwell on her mistakes.

{ all in all }
She's a tightly wired system of maternal love and care. She can get oversensitive and this need to worry over others may drive her to imagine problems bigger than they actually are, eventually leading to worry and retreating into her "shell" as a means to protect herself from getting hurt again but because she's the type that can't move on easily, getting her out of her "shell" won't be a simple task. Family and home is everything to this girl, made even stronger after she gave birth to her son.

{ major }
Bachelor of Fine Arts Major In Painting Arts | She chose this course because she found this channel a suitable source to express herself. She is a naturally emotional or sentimental person and art is something that is most commonly identified with both attrbutes. In a more maternal sense, painting is something that she sees to be something she could do with her son, so it's like hitting two birds with one stone.
However, what she really wanted to take was BS Psychology, but sensing that it would require more time from her (being a heavy science-related course) and that she would more or less have to delve back into her past, she decided to not push through with her dream. Though, she sometimes regrets it because she feels that she's hiding from fully understanding herself.

{ grades }
B+ (87-89) | She never seems to go under or above this grade. She's as steady as a rock when it comes to academics and she'll maintain this grade probably till the day she graduates.

{ part-time jobs }
Waitress at a local cafe | Finding work is hard when Aeyoung is infamous for being a young, single mother. She knew that she got the job most likely out of pity rather than her actual service potential but she didn't care. She was used to public criticisms by now and she was willing to get any job to be able to pay for her living expenses, school and her son's needs.
* Her schedules are prone to change, depending on the cafe's number of customers. She also tries to bend her schedule to be able to catch up with school and take care of her child as well. Either way, she does a lot of overtime to make up for the lost time at work too.

{ likes }
01 ) Melons or anything melon-flavoured | She is strangely addicted to melons. Anytime or anywhere, she would try to ask if they have something melon-flavoured (Melon candy, Melon shake, Melon ice cream, etc.etc.). She doesn't understand it herself why she's so into them. It's one of the many mysteries of life that is yet to be solved.
02 ) Children | Since she is such a family-oriented or home-oriented person, children are definitely a must. She finds children wonderful little creatures, making her wired life more interesting. They're also a great channel for her service-oriented lifestyle.
03 ) Sunrise | Aeyoung likes to wake up to something positive and in this case, it's the sun. It's her source of optimism as she knows she's going to have another rough day with school and taking care of a baby to juggle.
04 ) Paint | Specifically acrylic paint. She likes these kinds of paint because its fast drying, so she doesn't have to worry about having her work getting messed up in the process of multi-tasking her life.
05 ) Coffee, specifically with two spoons of cream | She's been drinking so much to keep herself awake for work and to do chores that she's practically grown to the taste.
06 ) Cleaning | Since she likes to serve, cleaning is nothing to her. If it wasn't for her skill in painting or drawing, then cleaning would've been her number one talent. She has a tendency to be a perfectionist anyway, so she likes to clean and for things to be clean.
07 ) Cooking | She likes to cook, especially for others, naturally. She thinks cooking is a very motherly thing to do so she really practices on it.
08 ) Tuzki (reference| It's the popular illustrated rabbit character used in the internet as emoticons. She likes this rabbit character because it's cute and it's of her favorite color. Also, she has been known to resemble Alice in Wonderland's White Rabbit because she's always running around against the clock.

{ dislikes }
01 ) Lemons or anything lemon-flavoured | She doesn't like sour things but lemons just seem to top the list. Also, lemons have the same letters and almost the same spelling as melons, so it irks her to know that her favorite fruit shares a similiarity with her least favorite fruit.
02 ) Bullies | Aeyoung does not like physical conflict like bullying or abuse because she's seen it herself (refer to lifestory).
03 ) Dirt | Like any mother, Aeyoung doesn't like dirt - especially if it's on her son. She finds it disgusting and unhealthy.
04 ) Baking | She is not so good with the chemistry required in baking. She also thinks that too much sweets could be bad for her child.
05 ) Travelling long distances | Since she's such a sheltered and home-bound person, straying away from her "shell" is not an option for this girl. She hardly ever goes on an "adventure".
06 ) Small spaces | Being enclosed in small spaces remind her of her bouts of depression.

{ hobbies }
01 ) Collecting acrylic paint | She has one from almost every brand. She seems like a hoarder when it involves these objects.
02 ) Collecting cleaning supplies | If you don't find her carrying a bag of paint, then expect her to be carrying cleaning supplies. She's a firm believer of "cleanliness is next to godliness".
03 ) Cleaning the house | Sometimes to help distract her from brooding over problems (or a certain Mr. Grinch), she would clean her off around the house, even if it's sparkling clean already.
04 ) Painting or drawing | She loves to paint, draw, or sketch in general. It's one of her channels to relaxation, other than cleaning.
05 ) Cooking | She can cook the typical Korean dishes, nothing out of the ordinary or restaurant-level. She makes up for it with her love, though. Her cooking is usually different in a sense that she makes cute shapes or designs on them.

{ habits }
01 ) Uneasy while sitting down | Her legs will begin to shake, even without her realizing it. Minutes later, she would stand up and start to pace around.
02 ) Uneasy in general | She would start to pace around.
03 ) Irritated | She would bite the inside of her cheek to hold back her sharp tongue.
04 ) With her son | She would hold his hand, regardless if it's dirty or not. Once she realizes that his hand is dirty though, she would begin to freak out and tend to him and his hygiene.
05 ) Talking on the phone | She would make hand movements as if she was talking to the caller in person.
06 ) Bored at home | She would clean and clean and clean....
07 ) Extremely happy | She would hum random songs and sway her head side to side slightly; possibly laugh at every little thing.
08 ) Nervous | She would constantly fiddle with her fingers.
09 ) Jealous | She would pinch her love interest anywhere, mostly on the ears and arms, as if to get his attention again.
10 ) With someone who needs a scolding | Like a mother, she has a habit of pulling at their ear to get their attention for a scolding.
11 ) Sad or let down | She would constantly sigh.

{ talents }
01 ) Painting or drawing | Her paintings or sketches tend to be more person-centered. She does portraits.

02 ) Cleaning | The end result is usually an organized work of art. It could be color-coded, arranged by drawer, and the like.

03 ) Cooking | She can cook but don't expect her to bake. She likes to play around and make the food cute, especially if it's for her son.

{ phobias & fears }
01 ) Depression | She was once a victim of depression due to events that happened in her past and with her parents. She does not want to go back to those cold, dark days anymore, especially since she has her own family to take care of.
02 ) Caterpillars and Centipedes | She's afraid of these little wriggly, slow-moving, leaf-obsessed insects. She thinks their a mutation of natural development.

{ trivia }
01 ) She owns two aprons for cooking: a simple checkered apron and the abominable frilly apron (given as a gift). She, naturally, chooses the first apron. She also has an apron for Chinho, if she ever decides to make him cook with her.
02 ) Her favorite color is white.
03 ) She is deathly allergic to shrimp, so she never cooks anything with shrimp in it.
04 ) She has motion sickness, so she rarely travels to far-off places.
05 ) Aeyoung has a Samsung cell phone like this that has a Tuzki cell phone strap on it.
06 ) She is terrible in Math.
07 ) She is left-handed.
08 ) She can hear better with her left ear than with her right.
09 ) She can do origami - but she can only make cranes. She can't make anything else.
10 ) Her apartment looks like this.

Love-Hate

{ life story }
Seventeen years ago, when Aeyoung was just 5 years old, she was a witness to a verbal and physical batter of her mother by none other than her own father. For her father, this frustration had been bottled up long enough - especially when Aeyoung was not even a child he had ever wanted. Yes, her father was your stereotypical disciplinarian with a pinch fo anti-feminism brewed into him. He had wanted a son in the beginning but grew frustrated when his wife gave birth to a daughter. They could've tried again had it not been for the unfortunate infection to his wife's birth canal after naturally giving birth to Aeyoung. Devastated, but more so, annoyed - her father had resolved to drinking to cool his head, leaving Aeyoung's mother to care for her. Acting like a single mother due to her husband's absence, Aeyoung's mother became the role model for the young girl, even having her philosophy of doing good to others for something good to happen in the future instilled in little Aeyoung's mind. Her father did nothing to appreciate her though and would often arrive home to verbally abuse his wife at how useless she had become or to shout at Aeyoung who would oftentimes run away and hide as her mother tried to calm him down. This went on for some time to which Aeyoung came to a realization that perhaps the reason for her family's disastrous relationship was her. Thus, she strived to become that perfect daughter - the kind of submissive and loyal girl her father would have preferred. However, even her 180 degree change in character did nothing to change her father's anger or to save her mother from being abused, even in her place. Feeling absolutely useless and let down, she succumbed to depression - her childhood dream of having a perfect family shattered and forever broken before her eyes.

Throughout her school life and in growing up, she went in and out of depression - becoming a stagnant stain in others' eyes. She was frozen in that reserved and submissive personality of hers because of depression. It was not until she was in senior high school that she met someone that could help get her out of her misery - that person was none other than NIchkhun. Nichkhun had helped her come out of her "shell", leading her to mistake her admiration for him as love. Ironically, it was this saving relationship that led her to make the biggest mistake in her life - becoming pregnant at the tender age of 17 years old. Nichkhun did nothing to help, in fact, he ran away from the reality. Losing the man she had given both her heart and body to did it for Aeyoung - she returned back to depression, her "shell". Needing some help, she ran to her cousin Taeyeon, telling her everything, even the fact that she was now carrying a child. Taeyeon was, of course, shocked because Aeyoung had not even told her mother anything - fearing it to be the biggest betrayal to the one person she had not want to hurt any further. Of course, pregnancy is not something you could easily hide and before long, her parents discovered her staying over at Taeyeon's place. At that moment, her father became furious - disowning her from the family, despite her mother's wishes otherwise. Aeyoung stayed with Taeyeon till she gave birth to a young and healthy baby boy, which she named 'Chinho' meaning 'precious and goodness'. Chinho was also under the care of Taeyeon while Aeyoung recovered from the birth. But Aeyoung knew she could not depend on Taeyeon forever, especially since Taeyeon herself was a working student. That was when Aeyoung decided to step out into society to live on her own. It was during this time that the rumors of a young teenage mother changed to the truth and she was criticized by society.

Slowly and steady, Aeyoung began to pick up the pieces of her broken life around. She decided to give up on her dream on becoming a doctor and went for something easier and within reach. She also took a part-time job to help pay for the expenses of caring for a baby boy and for his schooling. Aeyoung didn't give up because somewhere inside her held the belief that if she couldn't make a perfect family out of her parents, then she could make one from scratch - even if it was just her and Chinho now.

{ family members }
♡ Father
Ko Dongyul (고 동율) | 53 (October 31, 1960) | Police Officer | Alive |
| Dongyul is a disciplinarian. He's strict, demanding, and has an idealistic view in life. For him, women should know their place in this man-powered society, so he often looks down on his own female family members. He's a firm believer of the ideology that "Men are far superior than women.". He's not someone you can easily laugh or talk with because of his hardcore personality and character. He's a strong man - mentally and physically.
| Dongyul and Aeyoung don't have a very "warm and loving" relationship despite being father and daughter. Aeyoung is afraid of her father because of his strong personality and her need to at least gain some praise from him. Whenever she's around him, she tends to shrink back into an invisble "shell" and become soft-spoken and submissive, just so she doesn't have to feel the wrath of angering her father.

♥ Mother
Ko Yoora (고 유라); maiden name: Kim Yoora (김 유라) | 51 (October 20, 1962) | Seamstress | Alive
| Yoora is an optimistic person. She has this uncanny ability to be able to see the good in others, even her seemingly overbearing husband. She is gentle, motherly and sweet. She is a firm believer of the saying, "If you do good things, then good things will happen.". Yoora also has a strong sense of what is right and wrong and is nearly the perfect example of a wonderful mother.
| Yoora and Aeyoung are close, partly because Aeyoung is afraid to approach her father so she clings to her mother. Yoora and Aeyoung share nearly similar personalities and have some common interests - like arts and crafts. Yoora tends to be the one caring and teaching Aeyoung life lessons and the like, which is why her firm belief on doing good things may have attched itself onto Aeyoung even when she was still a child.

♡ Siblings - N/A | She's an only child

♥ Others
Son
Ko Chinho (고 진호) | 5 (May 20, 2008) | Student (Preschool/Kindergarten) | Alive
| Chinho is a sharp kid. Sharp in a sense that he can easily focus or concentrate on something - especially if that something is something that he likes - like apples. Chinho will do anything in his power to get what he wants, but he doesn't do so through throwing tantrums or crying. That's just not his style. Chinho will usually just ask directly and can be quite blunt and honest about things. For a child his age, he can act pretty mature, just like his mother. This is partly due to the fact that he grew up in a household with no father figure and a young mother and so, he feels obligated to be the "man of the house". Despite being in preschool, Chinho is smart for his age, thanks to his mother's constant attention and provision. Chinho believes himself to be a "cool kid" and often thinks he can outsmart older men - especially those that would try to talk to his mother. If he does get into a sort of "debate" with someone older, he would start using adult-like gestures like crossing arms, pocketing one hand and using the other to express himself and the like.
| Aeyoung is exceptionally protective of Chinho. Chinho can be pretty protective of his mother, especially when men try to get close to her. He would often try to outsmart them. Having not grown up with a father figure is a major reason for such behavior. Chinho loves his mother as well but can sometimes get annoyed with her exaggerated affection and devotion towards him. Aeyoung is, of course, oblivious to Chinho's self-proclaimed obligation in the household and often mistakes his maturity to be the inability to express himself openly like herself. She sometimes sees herself in her son, her depressed self and she worries for that. She doesn't want Chinho to have to go through what she went through and so she showers him with love, despite his wishes. Whenever that happens, Chinho would usually just accept it without hesitation in the hopes that it would make his mother feel better (or shut up and stop). He thinks it's accepting something in a mature silence. Whenever Chinho tries to obviously act mature (like in talking with someone older) Aeyoung finds these things adorable, others find it annoying and bratty. In fact, Chinho may seem bratty on the outside, but he's like that because he wants to be strong to protect his mother, seeing as it's just the two of them.

Cousin
Kim Taeyeon (김 태연) | 24 (March 9, 1989) | SNSD | Student (Majoring in Performing Arts: Journalism)/Commercial Model | Alive
| Taeyeon is a kind and sympathetic person - one of the key figures in Aeyoung's life that helped her overcome her depression. She has an excellent imagination and is sensitive to others as well. She is very open-minded and accepted Aeyoung, despite being a young mother. She is also understanding but can sometimes show bits of idealistic views, getting carried away in giving advice (ex: Aeyoung's experience with her ex-boyfriend. Taeyeon would then suggest that she look for someone nearly perfect. Someone with a fantastic education, loves children and could have the means to sustain the family. Or better yet, just don't get into a relationship again!).
| She's Aeyoung's cousin from the mother's side so she and Aeyoung are very close. Aeyoung really trusts her and it has been shown in the earlier years after Chinho was born because she used to take care of him when Aeyoung was busy (or was resting), thus, is also close with Chinho. Taeyeon is like an older sister to Aeyoung and gives her plenty of advice. However, as time wore on, she had been unable to take care of Chinho as she began to concentrate on her career and studies, hence, Aeyoung turning to her best friend Park Bom to help out from time to time.

{ relationships }
applicant yeolja's :
♡ Plain Old Jane | Friend
| Aeyoung is friendly towards Plain Old Jane. Plain Old Jane's personality somehow matches with Aeyoung's motherly tendencies because she is such a wallflower type. Aeyoung would usually ask her to come and join her, like how a mother would coax her baby girl to come out and play with the other kids. She wants to serve as Plain Old Jane's pillar of support, thinking that because she's now a young mother, she can help her solve her problems - even when it involves Chen.

♥ Miss Popular | Idol
| Aeyoung looks up to Miss Popular, because everyone likes her and she's a sweet character. Aeyoung wants to be like her and hopes that someday, she could grow close enough to stand on equal ground with her. Aeyoung may be polite around her (despite probably being older) and may ask a lot of questions involving interpersonal relationships (or making others like you).

♡ Femme Fatale | Enemy
| The moment they met, Aeyoung could already sense that something was different about this girl - Aeyoung is wary of others, after all. She deems Femme Fatale as her enemy because of her ability to worm her way in all of the guys' hearts (and pants). Aeyoung dislikes how she can just sleep around with any guy in a one night stand. Something like that is a sensitive subject to Aeyoung, who had something like that and look what that resulted to. Aeyoung just wants to tell her to be more aware of what she's doing but she doubts Femme Fatale would listen to her. The girl's manipulative as well so Aeyoung tries her best to stay a safe distance away from her as she does not want Chinho mingling with this kind of lady.

♥ The Gifted Goddess | Friend
| Aeyoung is also very caring towards The Gifted Goddess, partly because of her disability. Aeyoung knows that The Gifted Goddess dislikes people who look at her protectively because of her disability so Aeyoung takes care of her discreetly, making sure to never mention the disability issue as a reason for doing so. Aeyoung may be just like her older brothers who are very protective of her, but it's due to Aeyoung's exaggerated motherly nature. She wants to make sure that The Gifted Goddess feels all right, even though she probably is.

♡ Ice Princess | Acquaintance
| Aeyoung does not know much about the Ice Princess because of her cold exterior. She doesn't really relate to her because of her expressionless character. Thinking that Ice Princess doesn't want to even interact to begin with, she doesn't make a very strong effort to talk to her. But if given the chance, she would want to be friends with her and help her with whatever seems to be the cause for her indifference.

♥ The Rockstar | Acquaintance
| Aeyoung is one of the many people that fears The Rockstar. She looks and acts strong and Aeyoung feels that her motherly love would be useless to such a seemingly independent character. She doesn't know much about The Rockstar since they're just mere acquaintances but she does know that this girl carries quite a heavy reputation around her. Thoughts like hanging out with this girl while having a label herself as an infamous 'young mother' may be quite heavy, especially for her child, so Aeyoung tries to keep a safe distance from her.

♡ The Dorky Fangirl | Friend
| The Dorky Fangirl is probably a big headache to this selfless young mother. Being with a happy-go-lucky and crazy girl, Aeyoung would always constantly worry over her, making sure that whatever she's doing won't actually backfire to her - especially when it involves her Suho fandom. Aeyoung would usually be seen scolding her for being so hyper, reminding her to calm down and take a breather, to which The Dorky Fangirl would probably retort that she needs to take a breather too and stop fussing over everyone. It's like watching a mother and daughter squabble sometimes.

♡ The Queen  | Enemy
| The Queen is a girl that Aeyoung would find hard to get close to. She's ambitious and the queen so Aeyoung prefers to stay on her good side if possible, usually keeping her bad comments to herself rather that letting this girl hear it straight. She's not just afraid of her, she's also afraid of her pawns and their reverence towards this girl (probably out of fear). After all, one is fine... but an army of reusable pawns? No thanks. A blinded crowd like a stampede can be scarier than a single girl with a mindset of a black widow. Aeyoung is already stressed out with raising a child, she wouldn't want to be a target of someone that could use others to get to her. Her son would definitely suffer, one way or the other and that's Aeyoung's main concern. She's also an enemy in the eyes of this young mother because she is the younger sister of Mr. Grinch.

♥ One of the Boys | Acquaintance
| Aeyoung doesn't know One of the Boys so well, partly because she's always surrounded by boys - and one of them is part of Mr. Grinch's circle. Aeyoung deems her to be fine seeing as she's got two boys watching out for her. Aeyoung also sees that something is up in this little friendship circle of hers. Like any curious and suspecting mother, Aeyoung could see when someone is attracted to another - or something along those lines. Despite being acquaintances, Aeyoung would sometimes usher her to think twice before anything else. One of the Boys wouldn't probably get her advice but for Aeyoung, it's already good progress to leave an advice every now and then.

♡ The Bratty Primadonna | Friend/Someone She's Jealous Of
| The Bratty Primadonna can sometimes be deemed as an enemy - enemy in a sense that Aeyoung is jealous of her and her father's relationship. The fact that she also willingly spends her money randomly from time to time tends to irk the motherly character. Just like how she would scold The Dorky Fangirl for being overly hyper, she would scold The Bratty Primadonna for being wasteful but that's about it, really. She still considered The Bratty Primadonna her friend, partly because of her relationship with The Dorky Fangirl. It sometimes feels like she has to take care of these two girls and their quest to get together with their true loves.

love interest namja's :
♡ Chen | Enemy
| Aside from being part of Mr. Grinch's circle, Chen is also the childhood friend of The Queen , which leads Aeyoung to speculate - what with her maternal instincts working - that this guy spells trouble. Sure, his dazzling smile catches eveyone's attention, maybe even Aeyoung's sometimes, but that doesn't mean that she'd be friends with him. Already being in the popular crowd, a crowd that's definitely hard to please, Aeyoung would find it a challenge to be friends wth him.

 Kris | Enemy
| Even Aeyoung needs a break sometimes and she often takes one in the little cafe where this sarcastic guy works. Having been a customer and experiencing first hand what kind of smartass dude this guy can be, Aeyoung thought she'd never want to go there again (though sometimes, she can't help it because the coffee's good - and she needs her coffee since she doesn't have the energy to last the whole day). Aeyoung would often scold him for being so rude, though what he says is usually the truth - but can't he say them in a nicer way? Kris would usually scoff her afterwards, irking her even further.

 D.O | Close Friend/Friendly Rival
| Aeyoung is surprisingly close with this young seminarian - due to the fact that they share that desire to serve others, it's like they're on the same boat. But D.O is also a rival - a rival in a sense that, who's better at serving others? The pure one or the gentle umma? Aeyoung admires D.O's ability to see the good in orders since it reminds her of her mother and D.O admires Aeyoung's transformation from depression to a growing mother. He has also been part of Aeyoung's rehabilitation due to his spiritual background.

♥ Xiu Min | Friend
| Aeyoung is friendly with him just as how he is friendly with everyone. Aeyoung treats him like a brother, since she's an only child. Aeyoug is comfortable around Xiumin because of that familiar warm aura that he carries. Aeyoung tends to relax around him because he can make others laugh, but of course, there are times when Aeyoung scolds him if his jokes and goofiness get too out of hand.

♡ Tao | Enemy
| Also part of Chanyeol's circle doesn't help in her relationship with Tao. Sure, Tao is handsome, cool and smart but did he have to hang out with the kind of crowd he's hanging around with now? Surely if they had met earlier, she could've been the one to help him change for the better. Usually, Aeyoung tends to just ignore his existence whenever they meet. Aeyoung feels that it was just a waste of a good friend.

♥ Baekhyun | Friend/Someone She's Jealous Of
| Aeyoung finds Baekhyun a friend she's also jealous of, because he has everything perfectly planned out that is equally perfect in his life. Aeyoung wants to have that kind of 'perfect' life sometimes too, doesn't everybody? Though she gets envious of his perfect life, she knows that it bothers him and that he dislikes it - she's got those maternal skills to thank. She would always ask him out to have something to eat, preferrably her own cooking, to help make him feel just like everyone else.

♡ Luhan | Friend
| Luhan and Aeyoung are in good terms with each other. They're the typical friendly relationship that one has in their own life. For Aeyoung, it's like having another brother. She sometimes wishes Chinho would somehow grow up to be like Luhan - sweet, caring, someone that lets no one down and is forever loyal to his friends.

♥ Chanyeol | #1 ENEMY
| Ah~ Mr. Grinch~ Chanyeol is the child-hating daredevil that does nothing to please Aeyoung, well, except for the fact that he miraculously accepted to babysit her son Chinho. Still! It's suspicious. Why would someone who calls themselves a child-hater willingly babysit a child? Aeyoung is uneasy about that and knowing that he's Mr. Grinch, wouldn't want her own son to mix in with him. Whenever they see each other, it's usually a combination of heated glares and upturned noses.

♡ Kai | Enemy
| Another member of Chanyeol's circle of friends. Aeyoung tries her best to not mix in with someone like Kai. He's a predator and that characterstic makes him a threat. He's the kind of guy that Aeyoung dislikes the most, maybe next to child-haters like a certain someone.

♥ Suho | Friend
Suho and Aeyoung are in a mutually friendly realtionship. When they see each other, it's usually a combination of warm "Hi"s and "Hello"s and if there's something to talk about, then they'll talk about it. She finds Suho also comfortable and reassuring to be around with because he is such a gentleman. She would often cheer for him in whatever he does (maybe even in his love life?).

♡ Lay | Enemy
| The last of Chanyeol's circle of friends. Lay can be a jerk sometimes, which is a turn-off to this young mother. Like the rest of Chanyeol's friends, she tries her best not to mingle with him. When they happen to cross paths or meet up by some twisted play of fate, Aeyoung would usually shake her head and whisper to herself how her good friend Suho could be childhood friends with someone like him.

♥ Sehun | Friend/Someone Who Depends On Her
| These two have an interseting friendly relationship. For one thing, Sehun's secret 'mama's boy' persona sometimes blooms out accidentally when he's around the self-proclaimed gentle umma. He often sees her caring for others and that causes him to sometimes cling to her when he's in need for some maternal attention, usually it's for fun anyway. Aeyoung often pats his head (if she could reach the head), reassuring him that everything is all right and that he has good friends around him - like Luhan or even The Bratty Primadonna.

other idols :
♡ Ex-boyfriend/Chinho's Father
Horvejkul Nichkhun (닉쿤) | 25 (June 24, 1988) | 2PM | Student (Majoring in International Relations)/Commercial Model | Alive
| The charming, charismatic and cheerful character with a specific eye to have everything he wants go his way for his sake. Yes, despite his prince-like looks and traits, he is surprisingly self-centered. Why not? He's got the looks and the skills, so it's only fair that he should get what he wants. Unlike his ex-girlfriend, he is someone who thinks of others last, maybe even sometimes forgetting about them.
| When Aeyoung (17 y/o) was in 12th grade (high school), Nichkhun (20 y/o) was already in college. They met through career counseling - wherein Nichkhun and the rest of his college mates visited Aeyoung's high school to help advertise their college. They met and started off as the innocent Senior-Junior friends since Aeyoung was very reserved back then. Such a personality won't help her in college, so Nichkhun, genuinely concerned for her at the time, helped her come out of her "shell" and in the process, save her from her bouts of depression. Aeyoung greatly admired this charismatic prince and misunderstood her admiration for him as love. She slowly began to succumb to it - but of course, knew that it was going to be hard to make him see her as someone more than a junior. Nichkhun was aware of her feelings though, considering that she was always embarrassed and tried to be extra polite and generous around him and decided to give her a try. He was young and didn't think much of it. The people around them were surprised to see their "prince" get together with the "pauper", thus they were widely known as such: "The Prince and The Pauper".
| Because he is older, Aeyoung tends to be more polite around him. Aeyoung would always try to get his attention or get him to like her in any way she can. But Nichkhun was oftentimes surrounded by other girls because of his charisma. However, Nichkhun did notice Aeyoung because she was a clingy junior and would tend to treat her to things like ice cream or shake to get her to loosen up. These constant pampering actually made her admire him even more, because she had never experienced such treatments from any other male - like her father for example.

♥ Best Friend/Chinho's Former Babysitter
Park Bom (박 봄) | 29 (March 24, 1984) | 2NE1 | Commercial Model/Actress | Alive
| Bom is a feisty girl. She's not afraid to take charge of things if given the chance. She speaks what is on her mind and isn't afraid to stand up for herself. She's very independent and is not afraid to show who she really is. Oftentimes, she doesn't care what other people think, especially when it comes to her choices and decisions (like taking care of Aeyoung's baby). She's the type of girl that believes that the best person to give her advice is herself. She is street-smart and can adapt easily to her environment.
| Bom and Aeyoung met through Taeyeon. Taeyeon worked part-time as a commercial model. When she was unable to balance her workload and her studies (being a graduating student), she went and asked the help of her senior - Bom - to babysit her cousin's young baby. Bom, who already got the flow of work and personal life in check, didn't mind adding that kind of work into her schedule. She was also curious to meet Taeyeon's cousin. So, Taeyeon introduced her senior to her (infamous) cousin. At first, Bom was surprised to meet such a young mom, but she welcomed Chinho and Aeyoung with open arms, especially after seeing the state they were in. She didn't care what other people thought of it since she's a spicy character. If people didn't like the idea, let them hate. They had nothing to do with her decision. This strong personality gradually helped Aeyoung gain her trust and before long, they became the best of friends.
| Bom often takes control of a lot of things whereas Aeyoung, being the younger one, would simply follow her lead. They are very comfortable around each other though because they are best friends. Aeyoung is friendly with Bom and vice versa. They sometimes act like sisters, especially since Bom is the eldest of the Park siblings - a family of strong personalities - so she's a very responsible and secure character. Aeyoung greatly respects that strength and compliments it with her maturity at such a young age.

I Love You

{ love interest } Park Chanyeol (박 찬열)

{ his major } Bachelor of Performing Arts Major In Film and Photography | The reason for such a course was because of various inspirations from movies he had watched ever since he was a kid. Fantasy, action, mystery - those were words that intrigued him. He also liked the idea of recording his action-packed, thrilling experiences into photos and videos. It was his proof of how much a daredevil he really is.

{ meeting }
They may have not realized it until later, but their first meeting was actually in school. Both characters were under the same college/school, so they somehow had chances when they could see each other. It was Chanyeol who first saw Aeyoung coming out of his next classroom. They had bumped into each other but seeing as she was older than him, he nonchalantly apologized, helped her pick up the things that fell on the floor and got inside the classroom. He didn't realize that Aeyoung was his older sister's best friend. Aeyoung also didn't realize that Chanyeol was her best friend's younger brother.

Their legitimate first meeting was through Bom. Bom was helping Aeyoung with groceries (Chinho was either at school or at home at this time) and the two girls happened to bump into Chanyeol. Chanyeol was the first to realize who Aeyoung was - she was the girl he had bumped into and his sister's best friend and the infamous young teenage mother! Aeyoung didn't realize he was the same person in school until after Bom mentioned that he also goes to the same school as hers. For obvious etiquette, Aeyoung greeted and politely introduced herself, to which Chanyeol sluggishly did the same. Before anything else, he left the two to go about his business. Bom would then apologize for her brother's behavior, but tells Aeyoung to get used to it because that's just how he is. What matters to him the most is the adventure of life~

{ relationship }
The two have a heated relationship - heated in a sense that one party was forced to do this and is pretty bitter about it while the other party doesn't trust the former down to her core. The only connection these two have is Aeyoung's own son - Chinho. Chanyeol's view on this whole relationships is that it's practically forced labor. Why should he have to take care of someone else's child? He doesn't even like children to begin with. How is that fact so hard to understand?! He's practically unenthusiastic about the whole thing and wants every living moment with this family to be done and over with. He just sees the whole thing as a waste of his precious time looking for some action. Aeyoung on the other hand, sees this as a dangerous gamble. Can she trust this young man to take care of her child? Why is these freak of nature even siblings with her best friend? Aeyoung is very skeptical about this person but it's not like she has a lot of people to turn to and have them babysit her son. It felt like a last ditch attempt to find a babysitter to save herself from exhausting herself out. Other people saw the whole thing as a strange turn of events. For one thing, not a lot of people expected Aeyoung to have someone to turn to for help - seeing as her own family seemed to have disowned her. Where else could she turn to? To think that she had a friend who was willing to help her babysit her child and even coax her younger brother to take over for her - it truly came as a shock to the public but they didn't think too much about it. What Aeyoung is will always be imprinted in their minds - that she is a teenage mother - a little smudge on society's ethics and morals.

{ how he acts around her }
Chanyeol is not so kind with this young mother. In fact, he probably doesn't want anything to do with her because she's infamous around town. Sure, he's the kind of guy that likes to experience something new and some exciting action but having to deal with the infamous teenage mother and her child? No way. At first, Chanyeol scoffs at her and her parenting ways, including whatever she did in the past, probably teasing her with whoever Chinho's father is. Chanyeol would often roll his eyes around her, especially when she tells him what to do, what Chinho likes to do, how to take care of Chinho and all that jazz. But as time passes by and he starts to get to know Aeyoung more, granted that it took a while to break down her guard around men (especially men like him who hate children), he starts to entice her by taking a breather and have a day off, look for some exciting action with him once in a while. He assumes that her "mature" son could use a dose of daredevil magic too. Though he would still sometimes with her motherly antics and how continuously doing those things would cause her hair to turn gray quicker, his heated glares towards her wouldn't be so heated anymore and he wouldn't with her ex-boyfriend as well. In fact, he probably wouldn't want to hear any more about the guy. Chanyeol just wants to give this seriously overreacting young mother a break - a touch of his kind of life.

{ how she acts around him }
Aeyoung was, at first, very grateful that someone other than her best friend would help her out. Once she found out he was a child-hater though, her wonderful first impressions came crashing down and she didn't trust him. Aeyoung is very careful around him, heavily guarded like a soldier in the army, especially when Chinho is involved. They  share heated glares with each other and if Chanyeol ever stops by at her house to pick Chinho up to babysit him as she is about to leave for work or school or something along those lines, she would sometimes ask him, "Why must you keep coming over? You're a child-hater, aren't you? Why would you be willing to do something like this?" to which Chanyeol would retort with a teasing insult or a scoff. Aeyoung always seems to question whatever he does, especially when she's observing how he takes care of her son. If he presents Chinho with something to get him distracted so that he wouldn't have to deal with the kid, Aeyoung would question it or pull it away from Chinho and scold Chanyeol why he would just nonchalantly hand it over to him without even giving him eye-contact and explaining it. Aeyoung does not like to talk to him, even more so when he probes his nose in her past and her history with her ex-boyfriend. Whenever Chanyeol does something mischievous and annoying, Aeyoung would do something motherly like pinching his ear (yes, those ears that are obviously big like an elf's) till they go red.

{ their love story }
Their feelings did not develop easily. They were heated "enemies" when they met, so both wouldn't be honest with their feelings towards each other. Also, falling in love with your enemy? That stuff only happens in fictional novels or in a dream. At least, that's what these two thought. They didn't expect that the reason for their meeting - Chinho - would play such a important role in their budding romance.

When Aeyoung was unable to take care of Chinho one day, she passed her son to her best friend Bom, telling her that she'd pick him up right after her activities for the day. Bom was fine with it, bringing Chinho to her house where a sleeping giant lay in his bedroom, unaware that a child, a creature he truly disliked, was in his house too. Bom played with Chinho a bit but she had received an urgent call from work. She had to leave immediately but she couldn't just leave a 5 year old kid alone so she barged in her brother's room, waking him up and nearly giving him a heart attack, rambling about babysitting a best friend's baby for her before leaving the room a few seconds later, not even giving him a chance to respond. Chanyeol sat on his bed, trying to understand the situation but he heard the one word he did not like - babysitting. Chanyeol got out of his room and lo and behold, the creature was in his living room, scribbling on a piece of paper a drawing of what looked like an apple tree. The two shared a long moment of utter silence and staring, broken only when Chanyeol cursed under his breath. Chinho stood up and stared at the older male, as if he was the same age as him. He goes ahead and asks, "Are you the babysitter?" to which Chanyeol replies flatly, "No.". Chinho's face is blank and he points to a glass of apple juice on the table, "I want to drink apple juice. Can you get me some?". Chanyeol frowns back down at him and insists that he has no obligation to get him juice when he's not even his babysitter. Chinho responds by saying, "But you're tall enough to reach it for me and I'm not forcing you to, I'm asking you to.". Chanyeol then thinks how much of a little smartass this kid was, eventually pouring the kid a glass of juice to shut him up, adding, "Here - and don't ask for anything more." Little did he know that it was that little moment will his life drastically change, because for Chinho, who was so used to hearing that he could always ask for more from his mother to hear something like that from the evil Mr. Grinch - it felt like a breath of fresh air.

Aeyoung arrives in front of the Park residence not long afterwards, knocking on the door expecting to see Bom with her Chinho. When it was a tall man with dark hair and brown eyes looking stressed at her that answered the door, she was taken aback for a couple of seconds. Then, her eyes focused to the sleeping figure in his arms and she tilted her head saying, "Well, howdy there Mr. Grinch. I didn't know you take care of children.". Chanyeol scoffs and hands the child over to her, except that Chinho woke up after all the movement. When he realized that he was going to go home, he turned to his mother and smiled at her, "Umma, can he be my babysitter from now on?". Aeyoung and Chanyeol both let out surprised, "WHAT?"s at the same time.

Due to Chinho's insistence that Chanyeol be his babysitter and Bom's agreement on the whole thing, Aeyoung had to give in to the fact that this child-hater daredevil would be coming over her house to pick up Chinho or to help out from that day onwards. Chanyeol was not happy but every time Chinho was around, the little munchkin would cling to his long leg that he had no choice but to take the "job". Plus, he does get paid (even just a little bit) for this and he could use the money too for his "extracurricular activities". Paying the younger male made Aeyoung want to roll her eyes at him as he smugly accepted the cash. It was after he received his payment one day that he starts to grow a sense of empathy to the young mother, happening to catch her on the job as a waitress in the local cafe. Hoping to tease and make fun of her, he enters the cafe as a customer, distracting Aeyoung for a moment. It was during this time that he observes her hardworking attitude, her intense service to others and the like. It was not enough for romantic feelings to grow, but it was enough for him to change his perspective on this whole babysitting job. Before leaving the cafe, he gives her a special tip, slipping something in her hand and tells her that he'll come by to pick up Chinho again. Aeyoung is confused by his behavior and as he leaves the cafe, she discreetly opens her hand, revealing a small piece of table napkin that had his cellphone number on it, a small note under it that read: "내가 도움을 줄 수 (I can help you)". It was also during this time that Aeyoung starts to finally loosen up and trust him.

Chanyeol would then come over to help take care of Chinho, even though he started off playing with the kid by just throwing toys by his feet and then ignoring him. But as time passes by, Chanyeol starts to instinctively take care of the child. He wasn't conscious of it, but he had always been watching the little brat and how he acted - observing his behaviors and interests, hoping to use those someday to blackmail the little smartass but it backfired against him as he began to use this knowledge to handle the situation whenever Chinho was upset or if Chinho wasn't in the mood. Somehow, the once child-hater grew to be the ideal babysitter. Even Chanyeol himself was surprised as to how close he and Chinho became. He thought that if Aeyoung were to see this, she'd definitely look down on him or but when that day arrived, Aeyoung didn't say anything - in fact, it looked like a huge weight was taken out of her shoulders. She smiled warmly at Chanyeol and Chinho and chuckled softly while saying, "It's great to see Chinho having so much fun.". It was that defining moment for Chanyeol that feelings started to grow. He thought it was nice that Chinho wasn't bored as hell too, but he wanted Aeyoung to have "fun", to relax, to be a kid. Hence, his days of babysitting became days of babysitting combined with taking care of the constantly stressed mother, prodding her to take a breather and go to the park with him and Chinho. At first, Aeyoung was hesitant but when Chinho started to join in (probably due to Chanyeol striking a deal with him with apples), she gave in. During this time, Aeyoung and Chanyeol's relationship further improves and before long, Aeyoung no longer sees him as just a babysitter. He was now an important person in her life - and she was afraid. Still thinking about the past and not having really moved on, Aeyoung was the type that was wary when it comes to a guy wanting to go past the label of "friends". It didn't help that Chinho would quiz Chanyeol about her to test him of his worthiness. Chanyeol knew Aeyoung was guarded which made him doubt about confessing his feelings, what pushed him over the edge was when he happened to see Aeyoung's sketchpad laying around and as he flipped a page, was surprised to see this drawing. Embarrassed, he confronted Aeyoung with the drawing and still confessed his feelings anyway - he was a daredevil and he knew doing so risked his time with the mother-son duo. Aeyoung surprised him yet again by telling him she was thankful and that she'll think about it. She cared for Chanyeol and she wasn't about to answer his feelings for her without giving much throught about it.

Things seemed to be going well as romantic feelings towards Chanyeol grew in Aeyoung's heart, even more so when the younger male decided to present a bracelet to her as a gift, which she happily accepted and wore. Yet this didn't last long - not when NIchkhun decided to pay a visit, knocking at her door one day as she, Chanyeol and Chinho bonded in the living room of her house. Aeyoung's torn in this visit as Chanyeol steps out to see the situation by the front door. The two men meet at last. Though, clinging by Chanyeol's leg was Chinho who looks up at the stranger by the door and asks, "Who are you?" to which Nichkhun responds with a decent smile,  eyeing Aeyoung once before looking at those brown eyes ogling curiously at him, "I'm your father, Chinho."

Nichkhun's appearance did not help Aeyoung and her relationship with Chanyeol at all. NIchkhun's agenda was to get both Aeyoung and Chinho back. He had somehow grown mature and decided to give this father-thing a chance. He first targets Chinho, whom he spoils happily with whatever he wants. Chinho slowly began to grow close to him because he never felt so independent in his life - freely choosing whatever he wanted and the like. Nichkhun showed his fatherly talents with the boy, gaining his trust. However, his selfish trait did not disappear and when some girls he used to know happened to come into the picture for a get-together, he would use Chinho as an excuse to actually gain more affection. (ex: He'll say something like, "I can't today, I have to take care of my kid now. Right here, see?" while picking up Chinho in his arms. The girls would swoon at such a wonderful father image, of course.)

Drama ensues in this household after Nichkhun finally gains Chinho's trust. He slowly begins to ignore the kid seeing as he has done what he was supposed to do with him. Whenever Chinho wanted to play with his father, Nichkhun would shoo away and tell him to play with the many toys he had bought him instead. Nichkhun was now just waiting for Aeyoung to realize that Chinho was ready to accept him as a father. However, a certain someone wasn't about to give up. Chanyeol knew what he wanted, in fact, Nichkhun's apperance may have actually caused both Chanyeol and Aeyoung to come into full terms with their feelings. Chanyeol is now more determined to get her and Aeyoung finally moves past the barrier to accept the happiness she truly wants not just for herself but for Chinho as well. Nichkhun may have tried to enter into Aeyoung's and Chinho's lives again and he may have come close but Aeyoung was not someone who would make the same mistake twice.

Deep Down

Mama - "When I wished for a more challenging life, it was a rhetorical statement God, not a challenge."
{ appa bear }
Chinho's father is none other than Nichkhun. Since Nichkhun was older than Aeyoung, Aeyoung left a lot of things up to Nichkhun in their relationship. Whatever he wanted to do, she would let him and if she wanted something and he said "no," then she'll leave it at that. It was a relationship that was mostly centered on Nichkhun's happiness, because Aeyoung believed that whatever his happiness was, it was her own as well. When Nichkhun found out that Aeyoung was pregnant with their child, he wanted nothing to be a part of it. He was a "prince", a showman for the ladies and having a child could hinder that. He used his studies and work as an excuse to run away - telling Aeyoung that he would have to study abroad or somewhere far because of his major, so he broke off their relationship before Chinho was born. Chinho never got to see who his father was because Aeyoung would have discarded any photos and the like with Nichkhun in it after that break-up. Aeyoung had no choice but to raise the baby alone after that break-up. Sure, she had the help of her cousin and best friend, but even her own family disowned her and that took a big hit to her psyche. She resolved to become a single mother, trying her best not to depend on others so much as she sought to pick herself up from her broken relationship with Nichkhun.

{ mr. grinch }
Aeyoung was absolutely floored when she realized that Chanyeol would be the one babysitting her child. He was the Mr. Grinch! Of course she would have called Bom to sort this out, but Bom and Chinho for that matter had the final say. Besides, Chanyeol had a lot of free time to spend and he could use some kind of miraculous event to change his heart. Aeyoung didn't really like the newly assigned babysitter and was very cautious about entrusting her son to him - often giving him reminders and lots of notes to bring around for Chinho's survival. Chanyeol, on the other hand, was irritated because of this sudden forced labor in his hands. Whenever he would be at home, he would give his older sister the cold shoulder treatment or pout at her for putting him into this mess.

{ baby steps }
Chinho is, surprisingly, attached to Chanyeol. He likes Chanyeol because the older male doesn't shower with him affection - something he's gotten used to considering that it was exactly how he was raised by Aeyoung. Whenever he's with Chanyeol, he's always left alone to do whatever he wants and Chanyeol wants nothing to do with it. Mature little Chinho would try to outsmart him sometimes, like how Chanyeol would sneak out of the house while still babysitting him to go do whatever thrilling activity he wants, Chinho would coax him to let him tag along and Chanyeol would have no choice but to bring the little devil. Surprisingly, when Chanyeol is alone with Chinho, he does loosen up and can somehow naturally bond well with him - almost as if it was an instinctual or intrinsically driven nature of his and there was no one there to judge him as he bonds with the 5 year old. But cue in Aeyoung, and Chanyeol would revert back to being a child-hater, probably just keep the image going so that he wouldn't look like a wuss. However, as feelings start to grow between the two, sharp Chinho wouldn't miss it and would start to question Chanyeol and his feelings towards his mother. Chinho would definitely be a clear bridge between the two. Despite liking Chanyeol though, he is still protective of his mother and would try to quiz Chanyeol if the older male tries to get to Aeyoung (ex: "If you like umma, what's her favorite food?", "If you like umma, what's her favorite color?", "If you like umma... what do you like about her?") just to see if he is worthy.

{ playtime }
Naturally there would be some days when Aeyoung would be able to spend time with not just Chinho, but Chanyeol as well - of course, in the earlier parts of their frenemy-like relationship, Chanyeol would have been nothing more than just a babysitter tagging along. Some places that they went would have been and what they did:
01 ) Playground at the park | Chinho, being the "mature" kid that he is, would have preferred to play along. Worried that her child may have found it hard to mingle with the other kids, Aeyoung decides to play with him - to which Chinho flatly says, "It's okay, umma. I'm fine.". Aeyoung still insists though and does her best to play with but Chinho does not look happy. Upong seeing this scene unfold, Chanyeol teases Aeyoung about being bad with children. Aeyoung is flustered, because she's noticed Chinho's face. Seeing that both of them were now unhappy, Chanyeol gave out a huge sigh and took matter into his own hands. It was during this time that Aeyoung got to see the "fatherly" like skills of Chanyeol and naturally, since it was Chanyeol playing with him, Chinho may have liked it more.
02 ) Preschool/Kindergarten | Chanyeol and Aeyoung may have come to pick up Chinho from school. Chinho would have been really happy to see Chanyeol again and would immediately cling to his leg. Aeyoung would be mildly surprised but she would mask it by trying to call her child to come to her. But when Chinho doesn't do so, Chanyeol would again. The teachers in the school would then comment that the two look young (Chanyeol at least since they already know Aeyoung) to be Chinho's parents. Of course, the two would say otherwise, but Chinho would be a smartass and say that they are, "They are, teacher~ They are my parents~".
03 ) Home | Aeyoung would have discovered what a terrible cook Chanyeol could be, since he doesn't really do the cooking in the house. She would teach Chanyeol so that Chinho wouldn't have to starve to death. Chanyeol would discover how nice of a teacher Aeyoung could be, being so motherly and all, and would honestly have a good time. Chinho would have enjoyed seeing Chanyeol and Aeyoung having fun, but he'd be eyeing the whole thing carefully - like a little child stalker.
04 ) Park Residence | Aeyoung would have to pick Chinho up once in a while. During this time, Aeyoung could have seen how comfortable Chanyeol and Chinho had become and the thought would have made her smile or relax.
05 ) College | Chanyeol would have brought Chinho to school one day, against Aeyoung's wishes. Aeyoung would have panicked over bringing him over but Chanyeol simply told her to relax and get some fresh air. Chinho would have enjoyed his time at his mother's school, poking around here and there and acting like he knew what was going on. Aeyoung realized how natural of a caretaker Chanyeol was, knowing when to tell Chinho to stop and the like. Chanyeol and Aeyoung's relationship may have also grown further here.

Goodbye, baby goodbye

{ suggestions }
01 ) Aeyoung loves to cook and she would like Chinho to cook with her too. Chinho doesn't like to do something being forced unto him, especially when Aeyoung puts on the apron she has for him. Chanyeol makes fun of the situation again, noticing Chinho's obvious dislike for the apron. But Aeyoung looks blankly at him and tells him to help out too - giving him the abominable frilly apron to wear. Chanyeol retorts by telling her that he should wear the checkered apron she's wearing but she disagrees. In the end, Chanyeol ends up wearing the frilly apron while Aeyoung and Chinho laugh at him. Chanyeol discovers how "evil" Aeyoung could be in situations like this.
02 ) Chanyeol forcing a kiss on Aeyoung after the arrival of Nichkhun and drama ensues~!!! >///<
03 ) Chinho being in the middle of the two and he slyly takes hold of Chanyeol's hand and Aeyoung's hand, telling them that it's a "family walk" and that no one should get lost or go ahead of the rest.
04 ) Aeyoung and Chanyeol fighting over the appearance of Nichkhun afterwhich Chanyeol could either kiss her (refer to request #2), embrace her or leave her to calm himself down. That's up to you, authornims~! :D
05 ) Just Chinho constantly clinging to Chanyeol's leg XD
06 ) Chanyeol and Nichkhun confrontations? *_* ASDFGHJKL
07 ) Aeyoung secretly keeping a portrait of Chanyeol (this one).
08 ) Just fluffy scenes with Chanyeol and Aeyoung... with Chinho, even. >///<
09 ) A scene where Aeyoung went to pick up Chinho, except that the boy had ended up in Chanyeol's room with said owner. Aeyoung was torn between going into another guy's room, but Bom pushed her anyway. Aeyoung would have felt embarrassed and awkward, causing Chanyeol to feel the same. Chinho would have curiously asked what was going on between the two of them as bluntly as humanly possible.
10 ) Chanyeol pulling Aeyoung towards him from Nichkhun - in a protective manner. *///*
