So, Happy Anniversary, I Guess?

It didn't hit me till now that today turned out to be my 1st anniversary as a fanfiction writer here in AFF. All I knew was yesterday was Jaejoong's real birthdate and tomorrow will be Yunho's. I didn't realize I come again between them (it seems like I'm bound to do that, don't blame me).

So, happy anniversary for me, I hope nothing would stop me from writing. Well, this seems awkward.

However, this one year has granted my full gratitude. This place has become such escapade by providing outlet for my imagination. But most importantly, I have friends here who read every single two-bit fic I post and sisters to share ups and downs. You know who you are. Thank you. Thank you so much.

For those that might be offended by my frank way of speaking, I'm truly sorry. I'm not sorry for being me, but I'm sorry for the possibility of meeting me might have been written in your destiny since you were born. It's unavoidable. Now, this is getting scary.

And, on behalf of this special occasion, I've decided to release another fic. Staring Jaejoong and Yoochun (see what I did here?), I made a love-triangle between them. Here's the preview.

He caressed her flushing cheek with his knuckle. “And you’re perfect. You’re the only one for me, Hyebin-ah.”

She frowned at his soppiness. Their relationship was a full-time reminder of high school love, of silly nicknames, of feeding one another, of holding hands shyly in public, or exchanging texts in the middle of the night… She had inclined to this habit of slapping his arm whenever he came to his schmaltz, but the highly cheesy Kim Jaejoong, member of trio JYJ and boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki, had amended that in just seven hours timeframe. Now she was like moth to flame, helplessly drawn to him in every way, and now, instead of feeling embarrassed, she started to enjoy his mushiness.

“Don’t you worry about me, oppa,” she slowly said. “You’ve got a big girl here. Think more of yourself, just this time. I’m not trying to break the bond between you and Jaejoong, but sometimes…”

She didn’t continue it, provoking Yoochun to stare at her. He got his suspicion confirmed by looking at so sharp a pair of eyes.

“…but I will keep supporting you no matter what. If you choose to struggle and fight Jaejoong, that’s good, because that means you at least show her you’re worth it. That’s what a real man will do, and I’m sure Jaejoong will appreciate you, too. But if you back away, choosing your friendship with Jaejoong over a girl, it’s not that bad either. Both are wise, both have their own plus-minus.”

She rested on his arm again. “I’ll stand by your side, oppa, do what you want to do.”

Yoochun thought deeply. Whatever she said, both choices were still difficult.

The words she had prepared for both men were lost somewhere in . Now, she had no idea of what to do, while the raging Jaejoong and the persistent Yoochun were standing on both her sides, waiting for her to make up her mind.

“By being here, we’re simply giving you the liberty. You have to choose,” said Jaejoong.

“Trust me, we three will still be friends, no matter whom you pick,” added Yoochun.

“I…”

“Quick now, Hyebin-ah, we’ve been waiting long enough.” Jaejoong walked closer to her, but then he looked at Yoochun and stopped, realizing the younger didn’t make further effort. At that moment, they weren’t friends. Though they were separated only a few meters apart, both men felt like they stood on each pole of the earth.

“One week isn’t long enough,” stuttered Hyebin. “You have to wait just a bit longer…”

“Sorry?” Yoochun tilted his head to the side, disbelieving his own stupidity for thinking he knew her. Now that he thought over again, it seemed so silly how he had fought with his best friend over that type of girl who was just playing around with them.

“When it’s time, I will—“

“But when?” The impatient Jaejoong walked forward and clutched the girl’s hand.

“Hyung!” admonished Yoochun. Seeing the uncomfortable expression on her face, his manliness was moved. He couldn’t take steps back; he wasn’t sure he was the right one for Hyebin, but neither was Jaejoong.

“I can’t take this anymore! You have to choose! Decide!” yelled Jaejoong, trying to dismiss Yoochun’s hand from his forearm.

Cliche? Think again.

So You Said You Are Soul-mates?

P.S.: Dynar, this is for you.
