Ho Seok grew up in the smaller city of Yongin, Seoul. He grew up in a big family and they were always busy caring for the other children. They always told their kids to get good jobs and be smart- which they tried hard to. It was hard for Ho Seok to grow up in the family- he was one of the younger kids. He studied hard and worked as a waiter at a small cafe when he was 14. He grew interest next to the store next door; a beauty shop. He often looked around there and tried not to act suspicious. One day he spent some of his pocket money on some makeup and tried it on when he was by himself. He was really impressed how it enhanced his look and secretly, every day he would apply some makeup. Many girls told him how cute he was. Many guys wanted to be bulk and handsome but he wanted to be cute and prettier than the girls. He started taking photos of himself and then posting them on to his Cyworld. He was doing this for around a year until one day he got over 20,000 views on Cyworld. One day he came home from school with one of his friends and they were talking about makeup and were trying on circle lenses. But unfortunately his mum walked in on him and got mad and told him to study and banned his friend from coming over. He was in trouble but his family eventually allowed him to be a girly guy. He struggled in school a lot- which made him unpopular with guys but popular with girls. He wanted to entertain people and dropped out of high school to pursue his life as a singer. He was originally about to debut in a small group in Taiwan but he couldn't speak Mandarin and was also underaged. He left the group and then joined SM Entertainment.
