Seo Rin grew up as an only child. She was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Seoul. She lived in Los Angeles for a few years but isn't fluent in the language. Her mother and father were both childhood lovers and grew up in Los Angeles. They got married there but moved back to Seoul as Seo Rin's grandmother died in Los Angeles so they chose somewhere safer to live. She went to Seoul Performing Arts School. Her mother didn't have a job but her father did. Over the past few years her mother developed cancer so she couldn't go to work. But luckily she beat cancer.
