Well this post, I don't really know if people are interested lol =)))) I just wanted to share how I do the whole process. :'3 I'm quite OC when I write my chapters. It's the very reason why it takes me SO FREAKIN' LONG to post an update XD

But yeah, I decided to write this because maybe it could be a little help to some. Just maybe ;3 So here's how stuff works.


Step #1

Wait for an idea to pop in.

 

            Yes. WAIT. Don't THINK of an idea. WAIT FOR IT. It might sound like a pretty lame/lazy tactic but, I swear the best ideas come when you don't plan for it o.0 WHen you don't force them to. You always have to be ready for them, tho. ALWAYS HAVE A SMALL NOTEBOOK AND PENCIL READY.

 

Notes: Yes, pencil. For me it works, because somehow when I use a pen, since I know I'm not gonna be able to erase it, I feel like I'm bounded and I'm not free to make changes. =/ But that's just me ^^;

 

Speaking of notebooks….

 

Step #2

 

Write your chapters in a notebook.

 

                Yes, I do write my chapters in a notebook, believe it or not. You could skip this step if you think it’s too much of a hassle but yea, I do. I save a notebook or two for an entire story. Then I write a chapter in it. And that’s where I do all my editing, and my side notes and all that other jazz, which leads to –

 

Step #3

 

Type it on MS Word

 

                After writing on my notebook, I type it on Word (just like what I’m doing now with my blog XD). As I type, the editing doesn’t stop there. This is where I get to filter my chapter. After editing on my notebook, I get to edit here too. I take out stuff I don’t really need, change dialogues when I think they’re to blah, you name it.

                You might think the process is tiring, but to me, I like every bit of it :’3 All this transferring and everything helps me organize my ideas, and gives a lot of time to think through my stories.

                There is a side effect however. Since the process IS quite long, there are tendencies for me to get STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF STORIES =/

Step #4

 

Finally, transfer the chapter to AFF :’3

 

                Finally where the magic happens ;) As I transfer, I look for pictures (and sometimes even background music) to go with a chapter, or with a story *w* This is the most fun step of the process and the one I look forward to the most. But it’s basically just copying and pasting here and there. :’3
