🌞 Zayne Cho is ready for 𝐒 𝐔 𝐌 𝐌 𝐄 𝐑
• English - Fluent - He was born in and grew up in Canada, so he grew up speaking both languages.
• Canadian French - Conversational - He really only knows what he studied in school and what he heard in public form time to time. He can hold a short and simple conversation.
This was his first year at NCU and he is looking forward to the summer to just relax and enjoy himself.
Tuesday - This is his off day, which he chooses to do nothing until afternoon tennis practice.
Wednesday - Tennis practice in the morning, his physiology class, then more tennis practice.
Thursday - Only his history class around noon, which he really enjoys so he never skips it.
Friday - He has a study group he is a part of on this day and this is also his Amature Astronomy Club day.
Saturday - Usually reserved for tennis matches. He has had the chance to go out sometimes, but he would much rather stay in.

They also don't know anything about his uality, which he desparately wants to change, but he has the same fears every person has when they are coming out to their family. He doesn't want to lose them.
She is also one of the people who helps him with Korean culture. He knew a lot of it going in because of his parents, but some things you can only learn by living there and she helps him not make a complete fool out himself. She calls it a "fulltime job."
Also, he never really knows what people will think about him once they get to know him better, or rather, find out his uality. He doesn't want to believe he'll be judged, but he can't deny it's a fear of his.
He feels a little separate from all the fun sometimes, but he knows that's his own fault.
• Heon-Ah - Dongheon has a special name for Zayne, but Zayne didn't have one for him, so he made one up and is the only one who can say it.
+ Emotional, Positive, Stoic
- Awkward, Robotic, Oblivious
Emotional/Heartfelt + Dongheon is a very attatched person and people in his life that he ends up caring for, he will go out of his was to show it. He cares about his friends and fellow teammates and he isn't afraid to show it. He's encouraging and he really lives life with his heart on his sleeve.
Awkward - He is about as awkward as they come. The way he says things or delievers lines can be a little bit out of left field, they might not be relevent to the conversation, or sometimes he just trips over what he was trying to say, though he will always say it with confidence, which can be extremely endearing. When he's not playing tennis, the grace he usually has can kind of melt away and he can kind of hobble. Though he doesn't see his awkwardness as a weakness, which is makes it all the more attractive to Zayne than off putting.
Positive + He is an outgoing optimist. He is a person who tries to find the silver linings in everything, especially the hard things. He is good at not only picking up others when they fall, but he is also good at bouncing back and lifting himself up too. He is good at self motivation.
Robotic - Sometimes he can come across as a little bit cold. He gets quiet when he gets upset or uncomfortable and his default expression can be blank, so sometimes he seems really roboctic or disconnected. He doesn't get pushed to his limit often but when he does, he gets explosive. He is not a quiet fighter once his line has been crossed.
Open + Dongheon lives his life in a very outgoing way. He isn't afraid to strike up conversations and he not afraid to talk about deep topics. He is an openbook and loves sharing about himself and learning the deepest part of others.
Oblivious + His socialness can sometimes lead him into being completely oblivious. Sometimes, he's more tactless than he'd life to admit. He can miss the subtext or nuonces of a conversation or he can miss the whole point entierly. He can miss the sublties or not understand the meaning beind gestures and glances. That being said, he takes it like a champ.
Dongheon grew up in Neo City a part of a well off family. Not nessicarily influential, but they are known of a bit and make a very comfortable living.
Dongheon is the middle child of five, so he grew up being pretty used to being looked over for someone else. Which is how he was able to completely flourish and not have to be anyone other than himself.
It was pretty much a given that he would attened NCU, as long as he had the grades to get in, which he absolutely did. He didn't get much flack for his choice of major, but he did get a lot of pushback from his family for coming out when he did. Right after his graduation.
Being anything other than straight in his home country is extremely taboo, and Dongheon knew he was in for a difficult road, but he also had the kind of personality where he couldn't lie to himself or his family so he came out right before he left for college. Family gatherings are still a challenge for him as his parents disapprove.
School, however, Dongheon really enjoys. He has his own small social circle and is excelling at his major.
Dongheon and Zayne met day one of their Junior year. The two of them turned out to be roommates, which happened because both of them play for the tennis team.
"You're name is Zayne?" - D
"I'm from Canada." - Z
"Ah, I see. Got another name I can call you?" -D
"Uh...my birth name is Dohyun." - Z
"Perfect! I'll call you that." - D
The first month or so was a little awkward as Zayne hadn't ever had a roommate, so he honestly didn't say much.
But the tennis season started and the two were seeing each other all the time outside the dorm room, so eventually Dongheon suggested the two start walking to and from practice together. And thus, the routine was born. Which gave them plenty of time to get to know each other.
"Always have been. You'll find out eventually, so might as well tell you. Will that bother you?" - D
After a later practice, Dongheon suggested the two of them head out to get something to drink, which led to the two of them at a house party. Zayne was uncomfortable with the noise and the strangers so he spent a great deal of time outside in the backyard. Dongheon joined him after a bit and used a little liquid courage to confess. The feelings were of course mutual, so the two agreed to go on a date, which they ended up sharing a kiss.
That all happened right before the end of the school year, and though the two still hang out, go on dates, and make-out from time to time, they still haven't made anything official.
They definitely have each other's backs though and obviously realy care about each other. In public there isn't a lot of skinship yet, but they do hold hands occasionally.
Zayne is nervous about them becoming an item, knowing there will be backlash and a lot of people will disapprove. The hate scares him. Plus, there is the whole ordeal of telling his parents about it and that scares him even more. Especially because of how tense things are with Dongheon's family.
Dongheon doesn't want to move things any faster than Zayne is comfortable with, but he doesn't mind the slow pace.
"Sure I'd to date him now, but that guy is worth waiting for." - D
Roadtripping to the mountains, camping, beach day, clubbing or nightlife, something serious like a car accident or broken bone.
Dongheon and Zayne out on a date, backlash or bullying, them going shopping.
So I put the idea in there that Zayne hadn't come out yet, so if you're comfortable writing something like that, go for it! If not, feel free to edit that! They can know and approve, know and disaprove and it can just be Zayne and Dongheon against the world type-ish. Open to any and all editing.
