PERSONALITY :

Ya Yin is very kind. She was raised to treat other's the way she wants to be treated, so she really gets nothing out of being mean or rude to another person. She doesn't really talk to other's first, but when she is approached, she has a very sweet demenour and is easy to have a conversation with. She does her best to have a good attitide, which can be very difficult sometimes in college life. She still finds reasons to smile even if she's going through hardship. It may not always be a big one, but people more often than not see her smiling.

Ya Yin is always open to new things. Whether it be to new foods, people, expiriences. She listens to new ways of thinking and doing things. She believes herself as someone with room for improvment and constructive criticizm, so she is always open to hearing someone else's opinions and ideas. A lot of the students turn to her for help. Not because she is super good at anything, but because she likes to help people. Put simply, people ask her for help because she'll pretty much do anything for someone else, ecpecially if she cares about that person. 

Which is why she is catagorized as a push-over. She will do whatever she is asked without question and without fail, and it has lead to a lot of people taking advantage of her help. Sometimes she acts more like a servent than a friend. The biggest problem with it is that Ya Yin doesn't see what's happening to her. She's a little too naive and trusting to understand that her help is now being taken for granted and she is becoming a laughing stock amongst students. She simply sees is as helping. 

Ya Yin happens to be seriously shy and reserved. She never approaches people, she stays behind everyone when she's walking in groups, and during training she is seriously quiet. She is often seen by herself in the corner of the room either reading or listening to music. She isn't shy to the point where if someone talks to her she cowers, she does enjoy talking to people, but she doesn't make an effort to be a part of conversation. Despite her shy demenour, she has a habit of being come across as arrogant. She has a slight air about her that says, "I'm a better student/creator than you, and I know it." And it's simply a cause of her being alone and isolating herself during class, as if she is too good for anyone else.

BACKGROUND :　

Wei Ya Yin was born in Wuhan, China on January 5th, 2001, along with a twin sister Yena. Her parents were excited to have them and for three years, they made life work with a daughters. They were both working in a restaurant at the time, and were just getting by. When their brother was born, things started getting financially difficult, so her father started looking for work outside of a restaraunt. He ended up finding something for them, but it was in the UK, so she packed everyone up and moved them to Europe. Ya Yin can remember going to school and not being able to order her lunch because she didn't speak much english. 

She was close to both her siblings despite their difficult life. She always went out of her way to keep them fed and clothed when her parents would work long hours. They weren't financially deprived anymore, but it required that their parents be away from home alot. The three of them learned to rely on each other and are still incredibly close to this day. 

One thing that used to get her through her days was gymnastics. She had a natural flexibility most gymnasts would kill for and excelled on floor routines and vaulting. She started the sport when she was five and worked at it until she was just turning twelve. Unfortunately, she had to give up the sport due to an injury to her wrist that occured a week after she turned twelve. She was in the middle of her floor routine when her foot slipped out from under her and she took a hard fall onto the floor, shattering her left wrist.

One of the worst days of her life was when she was told that she should no longer do gymnastics for fear of further damaging the wrist beyond repair. She dived into her studies head first as a way to try and take her mind off of the sport she could no longer do.

She ended up getting into dancing and performing. She couldn't be a gymanst, but she could try the next best thing, dancing. So, she started taking ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz dance classes. She was already flexible and had a lot of potential. She looked all across the world for performing arts colleges she could attend and start making a career out of it. Howon University had an amazing dance program and after she got accepted, it was a no brainer that she would attend. 

What she didn't expect is that her twin sister would be traveling to Korea with her. Her sister, who was is a psycology and politcal science major, didn't want to be separated from her Ya Yin and decided to also apply to Howon, also being accepted, so the two go to the same school and live in the same dorm building. 

She sort of just fell in to becoming a Youtuber. She was actually pulled into it by a friend of her roommate. They had an idea for one video and it spawned an entire successful channel and a way of life.

Ya Yin loves her parents quite a bit and is always feeling guilty that they basically gave up their personal lives and free time to support the family they made. They have always been supportive of her being a dancer (she thanks the british way of thinking) and are frequent watchers of the channel. They enjoy watching their daughter live her life and it's like she's right there in the room even though she lives a long ways away. They have never visted the country or been ina video but would definitely appear if asked. 

▸ Twin Sister — Wei Yena (18) / Student / Outgoing, Hard Working / Super Close!
These two are peas in a pod of course, but you would be hardpressed to find twin sisters who weren't. The two talk to each other almost constantly and Yena is a frequent cameo in the Try Girls videos and in Yin's personal dance channel. The two share clothes, friends, food, anything you can think of. They love each other quite a lot and their fans love their dynamic. 

▸ Little Brother — Wei Jiang (15) / Student / Funloving, Curious / Close
Yin doesn't get to see her little brother as much as she wishes she could, but she still does get to talk to him a lot. He calls her once in awhile and he watched the youtube videos closely. She has mentioned him in videos, but he hasn't ever appeared. He would defintely do it though, if he were asked. 

▸ Fashionista Plotline —  / Student / Close
Yin has a pretty good relationship with her roommate, though some fights do break out as their room often gets turned into a fashion studio and she is constantly being lectured about her fashion sense. They didn't immediately become friends but they sort of grew on each other, which can happen when you're forced to live together. The Fashionista is the reason that Yin joined the Try Girls and is super super thankful. She get the other flowers on her birthday.

▸ Friend — Jenna Jane (21) / Student / Organized, Controlling / 
Jenna is a friend and the two of them of course have hung out during shoots and have gone on all the youtube adeventures, but outside of that, she doesn't really see the other. Mostly because Jenna is a really intense person and she sort of frightens Yin a bit. But, the two of them do bond sometimes because they both are from other countries and are missing their families. She admires Jenna's ability to do it on her own.

▸ She has over 100,000 subscribers on her personal channel due to the success of her work with the Try Girls. She mostly does fitness vlogs, but also does stretch classes or tutorials, challenges with her sister, and she features her dancing.

What does being on youtube mean to you : 

▸ It's something I never thought I would do, but now that I'm really gaining a following I love it quite a lot! I hope I can continue it for a long time. 

if you could change one thing about the channel, what would it be? : 

▸ Mmm...I wish maybe we had one more Try Girl? The dynamic is already crazy enough with five, but I think things might be more balanced with one more. 

what is one thing you want to try next? : 

▸ Getting Make-overs. It would be fun to do it Britain's Next Top Model style and watch us cry as they cut and color our hair. 

what is your ultimate goal regarding this channel? : 

▸ I just hope I can always share it with the people that mean the most to me, that I'm always proud of the content I put out, and that I always enjoy doing it.
