Useless (?)

 

"Well I'm good when it comes to communication. While you, you're only good at studying"

 

That is basically what my friend said to me when we had lunch today. We were discussing about our future, either we want to continue our studies or we want to start looking for a job. And yeah, things happen. Thank you for making me feel so useless that the only thing I'm good at is studying. I know people have low expectation towards me. I can't communicate well, I am bad at socializing, a slowpoke whenever it comes to practical thing. I am definitely the species that someone would ditch at work because I can barely perform. I am so useless.

What use is communications when you have nothing knowledgeable or useful to deliver?

It is good for you to be good at studying; after all, not many people can do that. It's okay to be bad at communicating now as you can develop that as you go.

Communicating and socializing do not necessarily have to go hand-in-hand. Sure, they correlate with each other, but you do not need to be good at socializing or making friends to be good at communicating or delivering what you want to say.

So, do not feel useless.

You’re good at studying, though.
In university, you’ll experience group projects and presentations, which would help you in your communication and socialising.

So I wouldn’t worry too much
Studies also count a lot
