THE BASICS !
FULL NAME. kwon joohyuk, 권주혁
NICKNAMES.
• hyuk + while he often introduces himself as joohyuk, he prefers that people refer to him as hyuk so all his classmates and those who know him call him this. jiho first addressed him as hyuk.
• russian warlock + mostly among warlocks (esp his family), his cousins, siblings, fellow warlocks often refer to him as this because he was from russia and when they'd met him, he'd known nothing but russian and latin. almost like a foreign boy despite his korean features. initially, this was supposed to be an insult but joohyuk never really thought of it as one.
• fumbling korean + from his classmates and the team, it's because he still fumbles with his korean here and there. although he can understand perfectly, he doesn't often use it to communicate so he still stumbles sometimes. it's more of good-natured teasing and he takes it lightly.

APPEARANCE. standing at 184 cm, he's one of the taller bunch. with a domineering (and arrogant-ish) stature, a lot of the people in his year are often subjected to intimidation. he dons an unruly hairstyle, natural brown hair slightly wavy, bangs long enough to lightly graze his forehead, something resembling a bedhead that he never really tries to fix (the picture above). he has a lean, slender body, skin fair due to him rarely ever going outdoors and him having the tendency to dress warmly almost all the time.

he has a particular affinity towards white sneakers, long coats, cardigans, generally just overcoats, really, hoodies; an image of a refined, somewhat brooding elite.

.

THE CHARACTER !
TRAITS.

ELABORATION.
even as he used to be approached by people as a child, joohyuk had always preferred to keep to himself, finding it quite useless to have to engage in conversation with people he often didn't like. he was a lone wolf and he liked it that way. plus, everyone was beneath him anyway,

as he grew up, while he'd started stripping himself off of his arrogant behavior and superior complex, he'd remained isolated to himself, mostly because he didn't quite like the loudness that came with company when he could use that time to hone his skills, study, or even sleep. even when it came to befriending lucas and keeping the older's company, he still preferred to read a book by himself, nodding or humming in agreement quietly, only ever intervening when necessary; necessary often only meant making sure lucas didn't get in too much trouble, eventually, when he becomes fond enough of the others, he tries to keep them out of trouble, too.

years of living within his family has taught joohyuk to melt into the background, only making himself known when he's called upon. this leads to the same thing happening outside of his household, unwelcome of any opinion coming from him within his home, he'd learned instead to observe, gather facts before drawing and connecting them into the bigger picture. tactful and practical, he prefers to think things over before doing anything, knowing impulsiveness has the likeliness of making things fall apart. he's somewhat one of the mature ones in the group when he's in his right mind. often so dependent on reason, it leads him to be in conflict with people who prefer speaking and acting before they think. although he does try to avoid confrontations (because it makes his head hurt), joohyuk is often times a cause of tension in between members.

he isn't so much insensitive but rather indifferent, unconcerned. he feels no sense of duty towards anyone outside of whom he puts his trust on or care about. not society, not government, not the good of the greater number of people; just the select names of people he's grown to know. which is why he'd probably have tendencies to neglect the members of the group initially, even after injury or some other issues, sometimes he'd just blatantly ignore them, not even bat an eyelash. though he eventually grows interested enough, trusts them enough to remember their names and actually tend to them in his own will when they need help.

once he trusts someone or starts caring about them, he would never even think of turning his back against them. he'd be at his most sincere form, always saying what he means, always genuine with his intentions. this also meant going to the extent of protecting them with his very being even at the expense of himself, he's quite self-sacrificing in this sense, which would be quite heroic and admirable if only he didn't have so few people he would willingly protect. he places high value on the people he trusts, always willing to put them first before himself, even with his life as sacrifice.

also hardworking to a fault. joohyuk never commits to anything in which he doesn't deliver. in the first place, he wasn't a good warlock because of the magic in his veins but because he'd worked hard to attain this level of mastery, he wasn't in the top ranks just because he was smart but because he slaves away trying to learn the best he can in everything that he puts his mind onto; which is why it frustrates him when he makes mistakes because he always tries to be perfect, and yet he fails to be.

joohyuk. despite his redeeming points, is anything but kind. do not mistake sincerity and loyalty for kindness. having him on your side isn't so much as making a friend but more of finding an ally of someone that's more convenient if he's on the good side, rather than the bad (like a robot or a machine or a dog, his family would say).

he has a warped sense of reality and way of living. the only reason he initially joined the group was because he wanted to help lucas, and so, had followed him out. he's neither curious nor concerned with the pressing issues happening around him.

the thing is, joohyuk isn't trying to be good. he's accepted he's not good.

instead, he's just sincere, loyal, and hardworking. suffice enough to be accepted, suffice enough to be useful.

that's why when he becomes evidently feral, unkind, he thinks that it shouldn't come off as a surprise to anyone because he, himself, surely isn't surprised. it's only justifiable that he take an eye for an eye when the circumstances call for it. even at the expense of everything else (it's a mindset that, in his warped mind, is still within reason).

stubborn to a fault, he refuses to let off anyone who wrongs him and everyone he cares about (with the exception of his family, for some reason) without getting the justice he thinks he deserves, which takes the form of revenge, an eye for an eye. he believes that the ends justify the means and would do anything to satisfy the bloodlust he feels, his tattoo burning, the blood rushing in his veins, his fingertips aching under the pressure of it all. he thinks, however misaligned it is, that he only ever feels so alive when the monster comes out of this metaphor of a cage, his magic freed from its reins, and his justice gained.

you think i wanted to be like this? there is a monster residing inside me.  it yearns for pain and misery, an eye for an eye. let the world go blind, it's their own undoing.

tl;dr the only people that ever matter to joohyuk are the people he trusts and cares about; otherwise, he's willing to be kind and protect no one. which leads to it being a problem because if he becomes vengeful, he's ready to hurt nearly anyone for nearly as long as he gets to take his revenge. he's hardworking, loyal, sincere, and intelligent, yes; but only to the benefit of a select few. he's also quite feral, barbaric, more negative, more monster than not which is only a product of his upbringing. if only it weren't so, then maybe he could've just been one of the most compassionate, most sincere people of the bunch. but he's not. and he's accepted that.
BACKGROUND.
tw: mentions of implied emotional manipulation/abuse and implied physical abuse

i.
born ha joohyuk on a december night in russia to a korean human woman, it only took her five years to wither away, leaving joohyuk in the streets to fend for himself, doing what he can to survive until the very man his mother ran away from found him in the streets. at which point he was skin and bones, rotting away much similarly to the fate his mother had been doomed to. this man called himself joohyuk's father. with nothing but russian on joohyuk's tongue, his father had shaken his head in what seemed to be disappointment for the first of many times (joohyuk lost count) and at that time, the boy had wanted nothing but to see his father smile at him, perhaps hug him the same way his mother used to when it got too cold; he never did.

he spent two years in russia learning latin and everything about witchcraft that could be stuffed inside his head with the five years he'd spent away from it because of his mother. he'd been surrounded by people who towered over him but would also crumble beneath his feet if he'd commanded so. he may have been skin and bones and looked too similar to his mother, like a despicable human (as his father described her), but his father promised, swore he was no human, he was far superior and much more powerful in spite of his sins (of being too slow to learn, of acting too human, of stooping low to beg for food, and his mother's sins of running away and him having the audacity to live despite it). in his head, he found it only justifiable that his father sometimes punished him for his and his mother's sins. in the first place, he would have been the perfect child when he was born if only his mother hadn't been such a coward.

ii.
at age seven, he first steps on korean soil and is presented to his father's family, kwon joohyuk, whose tongue speaks latin better than any of his half-brothers or cousins or even uncles, whose knowledge of witchcraft extends to being able to converse even with the oldest of warlocks. kwon joohyuk, the child whose perfection is enough to cover up his and his mother's sins.

for a long time, joohyuk led a life under the command of his family, he'd quietly listened to his elders and obeyed, going to and from school and getting top ranks, quietly honing his magic because it was his duty, detested the creatures his family were hostile to and was diplomatic and respectful to their allies. he was looked down on by his cousins, siblings, and his father's wife, seen upon as a burden, a pushover, some laughing stock of a child; whereas the elders found him quite favorable, for he bears with his brilliance and obedience the name of the family.

iii.
joohyuk's first semblance of freedom (not that he could ever call it that) came in the form of kwon jiho at age ten. kwon jiho was an older cousin, long unattainable even before joohyuk had met him. the thing about power is that it resides where people believe it resided and kwon jiho was one of the most powerful warlocks in the world. he'd looked at joohyuk for a while, asked him who his father was before taking him under his wing, of which his father had instantly given him away,

kwon jiho was different to a fault, to a point in which joohyuk would be left completely baffled. he dined with servants, smiled at people too regularly that has him wondering if the older's mouth ever gets tired, he'd take some time away and sometimes clean his own place up even when he could've ordered servants to do so. he'd teach joohyuk some of the spells he was sure even his father couldn't wield and if joohyuk were to make a mistake, even to the extent of ruining a whole room, jiho would only smile patiently and joohyuk would be caught mid-flinch, waiting for the hit to come every single time; it never does.

instead, jiho would treat him to food for every single spell gone right; ruffle his hair and grin widely and proudly each time joohyuk finds the courage to bring up his grades and exam papers, telling him he did well; taught him not to use his magic for his own advancement and greed at the expense of hurting people; give him the longest hugs and the warmest smiles which reminds the younger of a home that for a long time, only seemed to exist inside his head. for the first time in years, joohyuk learns how to smile.

iv.
that lasts for three years until he'd had to go back home. by then, his mastery of witchcraft had become outstanding for his age and among his family; only for this mastery to backfire with joohyuk himself. with such potential for power, his cousins, who'd been taunted with insults of being specks of dust as compared to joohyuk, had all challenged him, duel after duel after duel.

he didn't really mean to do it, at least that's what he'd told himself. it was the jab in the stomach, of being cornered into one of the walls which reminded him of lying on cold, hard stone somewhere in russia with nothing to lose and nowhere to turn to, it was being insulted and reduced to a mere human when he was obviously far better, it was being too tired of duel after duel and realizing he was perhaps losing his power from overexertion and that he couldn't, no, he will never concede. losing was not an option. so he'd cast the spell long before he could stop himself.

that cousin didn't die, the last one he'd dueled. but neither did he wake up for a while, and when he eventually did, he would flinch at the mention of joohyuk's name. in turn, he'd received a beating from his father, spite and loathing from his cousin's parents, was called a monster for harming his own kind, forced into isolation by the elders, and received a look of disappointment from kwon jiho before he'd looked away. any spark of magic gone, even sparks lost in the tips of his fingertips, for a whole year. punishment, joohyuk thinks once again, for his sins.

in the darkness of his isolation with no one to turn to, nothing to lose, and nothing to acknowledge except the illusion of pain on his back where his tattoo was located which signified him losing his power, he's reminded of russia and being skin and bones and rotting away, much similarly to the fate his mother had been doomed to. he quietly realizes he'd never really lived any differently from that 5-year-old boy in the streets begging for food, there was only a semblance of luxury and home. he was always only begging to be spared and given his chances, strip him off his perfection and obedience and he was not even a speck of dust to this family.

v.
it took a year for joohyuk to get his magic back. that time of quiet isolation withdrawing him even further from everyone else. he was much more distrustful, much more quiet, but still concedingly obedient to his family,

he first meets lucas wang in some sort of meeting between warlocks and werewolves, not because the other boy was there for it but because it'd been his relative's household and joohyuk was there with his grandfather. force of circumstances, really. he was uncertain how it'd gotten to a point in which he'd been forced to tag along with the older boy but he'd gotten one stern look from his grandfather and he was off.

it took a long time for joohyuk to settle with it, always wary of whatever it was lucas had in store for him. unlike him, lucas had welcomed him carelessly, letting him in his life like it was that simple (and it was). with that, joohyuk makes his first friend.

nearly two years later, he's still friends with the older boy. and had somehow found his way inside the group lucas had found.

TRIVIA.
likes: chocolate and the sea
dislikes: fireworks, amusement parks, loudness

• refers to everyone as "lucas' friends" or "people lucas know" and doesn't register that he'd created friends within the group by himself, too
• top 3 in school; is often found either studying or sleeping on his desk
• turning out to be quite popular as a first year, esp with lucas as a friend; although they're too intimidated to approach him
• prefers runes and spells rather than potions, he's a decent potion master but he doesn't really make use of his skills unless necessary. runes > spells > potions.
• hates humans, witches; quite uncomfortable/wary of werewolves to an extent due to history (lucas grew to be an exception); doesn't care about other creatures
• he hates humans on a personal level so his animosity is really evident, it stems from a warped belief from when he was a child that his mother abandoned him and he wouldn't be stuck in this circumstance if she hadn't. and she was weak as a human, having the audacity to take him away from a family that could've given him a good life (if she'd only begged for forgiveness like how he'd paid for his and his mother's sins), only to die and leave him to fend for himself.
• has the tendency (bad habit) to hit/punish himself when he does something wrong such as cast the wrong spell, hurt someone unintentionally; particular obsession on attaining punishment for his "sins"
• habits include studying and practicing magic (lucas: boriiiing)
• forced to go to parties because of lucas (lucas doesn't force him to go, he just tags along)
• sometimes, when he uses magic too long, his tattoo hurts even without glowing; it's in his mind, mostly, negative effects caused by the trauma of the punishments he'd received after that incident with his cousin
• gets cold easily
• closet homoual
• avoids confrontations among his peers (unless it's a real fight), both physical and yelling ones, physical because he's not physically strong and he refuses to use magic for something as foolish, yelling ones because he doesn't like extremely loud noises, it hurts his head
• tends to speak in russian when frustrated which earns baffled looks every time
• still has the tendency to fumble with his korean because he doesn't often use it to talk
• seems to talk a lot more when he's acting arrogant or when he's completely serious
• he has high threshold of control on his magic, meaning he doesn't lose it so easily even when his exertion should be considered overexertion for warlocks, but when he does end up overexerting it, he ends up losing it for a longer amount of time than regular warlocks (i.e. never less than 4 months)
"shouldn't it only be justifiable that i take an eye for an eye?"
THE RELATIONSHIP !
ha yoona. mother. deceased. human. 27. quiet, hardworking, compassionate. 9.

his mother, contrary to his beliefs, had loved him with all her heart. she'd chosen to run away and abandon everything only to protect him when she had the choice to abort him. she'd worked hard in a foreign country to keep him alive, although it was hard, the townsfolk had loved them and had been kind to them but it only took so long and they could never stay in one place for a long time. it was only with unfortunate luck that they ended up in a bad part of town when his mother came down with a sickness and never recovered. she used to always hug him to sleep, sing him lullabies, and buy him the most delicious pastries. and then she died.

kwon minhyuk. father. business man. 45. short-tempered, strict, unemotional. 3.

minhyuk had intended to kill him, joohyuk reminded him too much of his mother and he hated her. if only it weren't for his son's potential, they wouldn't be here at all. it was power and family over personal feelings after all. he treats him much similar to that of a tool, always ready to punish him for the things he does wrong. he's instilled in joohyuk's head that he deserves the punishment he gets, whether it be physical or mental, because of his mother's sins and his sins of imperfection. he only ever talks to the younger boy when he's commanding or reprimanding, no contact otherwise.

"what in the world are you up to these days that you go home so late? it's better that you lock yourself up in your room and practice your magic than go off and do some other nonsense."
"yes, father."

"stupid child"

"you better not make a shame of my name, boy"

kwon jiwon. grandfather. business man. 79. stern, manipulative, vengeful. 4.

when joohyuk had first showcased his mastery of witchcraft, his grandfather grew to be one of the most welcoming members of the family, if not the warmest. he'd paid special attention to joohyuk, got him the most intelligent and advanced of mentors, had him sit the closest to him in the dining table when his cousins and siblings were on the other end of the table, had the older compare his cousins' abilities to his own brilliance. his grandfather favored him above any child in the family. joohyuk would come to learn that he also had the coldest eyes in the family. he'd seen him kill plenty of times, eyes empty and unyielding, grip firm and sure. when he'd made mistake after mistake, the older's warmth slowly transformed into stern discipline, demanding joohyuk to be better, to die if he could only bring mediocrity to the kwon name. he's the reason for some of the other punishments joohyuk received, such as his isolation and solitary confinement. although the older still trusts him and still brings him out to accompany him at times, his eyes explain that it's only because of his potential and aptness in magic. without his abilities, kwon jiwon would never even spare him a glance. he's one of the main reasons why joohyuk is desperate to be perfect.

kwon jiho. cousin. president of the warlock community. ???. polite, honest, powerful. 7.

his mentor at ten years old, jiho quickly became one of the few people he admired, respected, and trusted. he looked up to jiho and sought his approval at all times. at present, he has a strained relationship with the older caused by the incident with his cousin when he was 13. although it's more of him being reluctant of approaching the older, afraid of receiving the same disappointed look all those years ago (but jiho's not really angry or upset anymore, he just wants joohyuk to try harder to be more understanding of the world and less vengeful). even then, joohyuk still considers him the most important person in his life, would protect him with his life, and would follow anything the older tells him to do.

before: "hyung! hyung! i did well on my exams, look! i got a 100, are you proud?"
*chuckles, ruffling his hair* "yes, i am."

after: "did you do well on your last exam, hyuk-ah?"
"yes, hyung."
"hmm, that's great."
"thank you, hyung."

wang lucas. close friend. student. 17. friends with everyone, noisy, loud, arrogant. 8.

originally, he'd only ever followed lucas to gain approval from his grandfather, to make sure he doesn't do anything wrong but he ends up with more than what he bargained for. to say they clicked and got along easily after introduction was an overstatement, they were polar opposites to one another and it only seemed right that they clashed, joohyuk was so sure nothing would come out of them hanging out. however two years later, they're still here. their relationship often consists of lucas playfully throwing jabs at joohyuk, scoffing and making fun of him for being too obedient to his family, at first, it ticked him off but he'd grown to just silently accept the older's thoughts, knowing it was true and knowing lucas didn't really mean any harm. in all honesty, joohyuk is completely attached to lucas, if not dependent. if people looked closely and disregarded his seemingly cold and arrogant stature and words, joohyuk would almost seem like a puppy following the older around. lucas is the only person joohyuk considers his friend and would genuinely do anything for him if necessary regardless of him looking like he didn't care. he also lets lucas off a lot with his attitude (like his impulsiveness, noisiness, aggressiveness).

"you know, you should really stop being so obedient to your family. you're not obligated to follow them all the time. don't follow them if you don't want to."
*shrugs*
*sighs*

"there's this party tomorrow, you coming?"

"hmm."

"do you ever speak more than one word?"
*shrugs*
"..."
"i just don't find it necessary... hyung..."
"hey, you just used 7 words!"

im siyeon. friend/enemy-ish. student. 17. hotheaded, grumpy, sassy, still unused to the supernatural world. 4.

in his head, he often refers to siyeon as "lucas' friend" (eventually "lucas' girlfriend") and given that she acts and thinks more human than anything (and is not too fond of the supernatural world), he's averse; but he does his best to tolerate her company since she's lucas' friend and all and he finds that he (slightly) trusts the company lucas keeps. most of the time though, he tries not to stay near her lest they start a fight or disagreement none of them wanted to have in the first place, sometimes also finding it troublesome that she can't control her dragon. he didn't particularly dislike her but he didn't really care about her either, so he's not careful with the words that come out of his mouth when it comes to talking to her. when he begins warming up to the team (and to humans, he supposes...), he does end up caring enough about her to willingly protect her.

"i didn't ask to be a warlock either, but here i am. it's not like you can do anything about it, this is your reality now, there's no use sulking about it. don't bring the team down just because you don't like being supernatural."
*fighting ensues*

"humans are disgusting."
"you're even more disgusting."
THE MONSTER WITHIN !
FAMILY HISTORY. joohyuk comes from a line of powerful warlocks, even more proven by kwon jiho who sits at the top of the warlock community. being powerful also meant being wealthy, greedy, and more traditional than most. the family's goal is nothing but to remain at the top of the chain, to be revered. he's looked down upon by his cousins, siblings, and his father's wife because he's an illegitimate child, the product of an affair. naturally, he should be a subject of ridicule but when his father found him, primarily to kill him, he found that joohyuk had strong magic running in his veins. when he'd been presented to the family, he was favored but not completely welcomed, mostly because he seemed spotless and he'd be brilliant if he were to be seen as a kwon. his brilliance extends to even getting jiho to be his mentor, you could easily refer to him as a prodigy. but the nature of the family quickly unfolds itself when he nearly kills one of his cousins, who they consider a 'pureblood' kwon as opposed to him, which leads to several punishments (which they wouldn't have given if he were also a 'pureblood'). notably, he's not really considered family but he still concedes and obeys even after everything, refusing to acknowledge this truth.

ROLE. much similar to his role in life, joohyuk stays in the background mostly, reluctant to show off his magic and only ever summons it for defense when necessary. although he'd have to admit, his offensive spells are better than his protecting spells (not that they know that). outside of fights or confrontations, he's part of the thinkers, maps things out and makes decisions. he's also sometimes in-charge of interrogation when need be, he's direct to the point and is always able to get answers with intimidation (and torture), if not with magic. in fights, he's in charge of keeping everyone safe by healing or protective spells. he's also adept at using locating spells and tracing history with his runes. in hindsight, he could be considered a leader if only he weren't so emotionally constipated empty.
ABILITIES. as a warlock, he's required to have a lot of things inside his head, prepared to use them when necessary. he's one of the intelligent ones, able to conjure things up quickly when plans fall apart just to make sure no one gets extremely hurt (except the opponents). he's fast and agile despite his towering height and is extremely well-versed in witchcraft. however, him being a warlock and all meant he was as easy to kill as a human, and while he's good at distance combat, he can't say the same in hand-to-hand. he's not strong, not tireless, still fumbles with daggers and his fists, so he'd rather be in the background, subtly casting spells than being frontline and center.

THE INTERVIEW !
HEY, I'M LUCAS AND THAT'S SIYEON. AND DON'T CALL ME YUKHEI. AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU THO? "i'm joohyuk." silence envelopes the room as they wait for his next statement, nothing comes. "that's it."

HOW DID YOU FIND US AND WHAT MADE YOU THINK THAT IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO JOIN US? YOU COULD DIE ALONG THE WAY, YOU KNOW. joohyuk blinks, "i followed you, hyung," he says it in a casual tone, like he hadn't needed to think about doing it (only because it really was that easy, he just literally follows lucas around). siyeon just looks at him, a little confused, and lucas nods in acceptance, used to it. "and i don't mind it. dying, i mean." siyeon glances at lucas, slightly disturbed, lucas shrugs, smiling in assurance, 'don't worry, he won't hurt you in your sleep', is what he meant.

YOUR FAVORITE SPECIES? SAY WEREWOLF AND I WILL KISS YOU. HOW ABOUT YOUR LEAST FAVORITE? "warlocks, obviously," he pauses, as if he wasn't used to speaking with more than two words. "we're intelligent and powerful, we have a universe we're yet to unfold and advance towards, stronger spells to cast. i can't picture myself as anything other than a warlock. i'm rather dependent to my magic." joohyuk keeps his tongue from saying, 'better than a human' and 'we're superior' amidst other creatures because he's been told something as simple as this has caused wars in the past. "if i say werewolves come second, do i still get a kiss, hyung?" he tilts his head curiously. it takes about a minute for it to settle with lucas and siyeon that he'd made a joke. by the time they're about to try laughing, he deadpans, "humans, if not witches, are the species i hate the most. humans are irrelevant to the community, i know, but they're disgusting, weak." siyeon clenches her fists in anger, "and you're so strong, huh?" she asks. joohyuk looks at her right in the eye before answering, "yes, i am." lucas casts him a stern look that has him backtracking. it's out of his mouth before he could stop himself, "sorry, siyeon. i suppose i hate witches the most because they're just that despicable." something tells him he hadn't said the right thing but lucas doesn't say anything, siyeon just ignores him.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE RIVALRY BETWEEN OTHER SPECIES? "it's always been like that. should i have an opinion about it? it's not really something i particularly care about." there's silence, like they're still waiting for an answer. he concedes. "but i suppose i'm joining this group to try and stop an unnecessary war from happening. i'm just following you, hyung. and i also don't like the trouble and chaos war brings very much, so i guess this also works in my favor."

YOUR THOUGHTS ON HUMANS? THEY ARE IRRELEVANT BUT JUST WANNA KNOW. "weak, disgusting. like i said. i hate them." he recounts his mother, how she'd gotten sick and never recovered, leaving him in the streets with nothing but the clothes on his back. he remembers the fact that she'd ran away from his father, only for joohyuk to be found by him again, only for him to pay for his mother's sins in the end of it all. by the side, siyeon mutters, "you're even more disgusting." joohyuk pretends not to hear.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AND FLAWS? WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF AS A STRONG OPPONENT? "i'm smart, well-versed in magic, hardworking, me being useful is the strength," he tilts his head, "i'm not good in hand-to-hand combat although i suppose no one would be foolish enough to put a warlock in frontline and center unless it's a war between my kind. and yes, i am a strong opponent. a kwon doesn't live past the age of 10 without being excellent, honorable, and worthy of the warlock community."

UH, YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE? joohyuk blinks, "to follow you, hyung... and i suppose learn and grow more."

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO TELL US OR YOUR FUTURE MEMBERS? "i'm not here to make friends."

BEEN GREAT TALKING TO YOU, BYE! joohyuk laughs slightly to himself before standing up and bowing, "i'm sure it wasn't great talking to me. i'll be going now, hyung, miss siyeon."
THE END !
COMMENTS. i initially wanted him to become a member that tries to be good, but joohyuk, i've come to realize isn't good (beCAUSE I DID HIS BACKGROUND FIRST AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO MAKE HIM NICE), not in the most simplest sense at least. you could suppose he's a gray area. he's not entirely bad, but he's not good either. AND I LOVE THIS AAAA I COULDN'T SLEEP MUCH BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANNA STOP CRAFTING JOOHYUK BUT I HAD TO,,, if there's any errors, please tell me T T thanks for reading! oh also, i didn't put in a l/i because it seems he needs to develop his chara more than he needs a love life.
QUESTIONS. is he too evil and angsty dshsjhs
SUGGESTIONS. whispers, stream exo's tempo. and maybe namanana, too.
SCENE REQUESTS.
• fight within the group ye  s
• one of the first times they see joohyuk go almost barbaric with his magic because someone from their team got hurt, only to see the lot of them look at him in mortification and he's disappointed/upset because they're yet another set of people who think he's a monster, he meant well, hadn't he?
• joohyuk actually conversing with people and everyone left in quiet bewilderment
• the team witnessing how his father mistreats him and how he just takes all of it, contrary to the joohyuk they know who detests anyone laying a hand on him or even looking at him maliciously
• that one time joohyuk's actually kicked out of the house and he has to look for a friend's place to sleep in and he isn't sure who or if he even had a friend
• joohyuk making a human friend...
• joohyuk unintentionally hurting someone with his magic
• joohyuk and lucas interactions pls
