lee choseung, first and foremost, is still a child. no matter how tall she is, no matter what concept emanon comes out with, no matter how she herself may try and present herself as a mature young lady, she is a child. she knows exactly nothing about the world, or about life and it's many tribulations, seeing things in rose colored glasses where nothing in the world is truly bad. and at the same time, she likes to pretend she knows far more than she actually does, much to the annoyance of everyone else when she swears that something is one way when it truly is another.  a dichotomy that can only be possessed in the apex of youth. despite how chic and cool and mature she likes to make people think she is, every other aspect of her undermines the image she desires. she's simplistic in taste and amusement, just about anything can make her laugh. she only cares about immediate gratification and holds no interest for things that have a delayed reward. she gets worked up over nothing in the way that a child does, screaming and crying and locking herself in her room over something as simple as someone picking up after her. speaking of, her moods change with the minutes. one moment she's content, the next she's furious, the next she's despondent. she gets frustrated when dealing with her own emotions, because they're very intense. choseung is a queen at taking things as personal attacks. tell her anything that isn't gilded praise, and she'll get upset and linger on it for weeks, even months. use her lipstick or hair ties without asking and she won't speak to you.

she is lively and animated, spontaneous and optimistic and untouched by the cynicism of age. choseung knows how to draw people to her. and because of that, she is the definition of "i am feel uncomfortable when we are not about me?". both because of her experiences and because of her age, she lacks a well-refined ability to see the world through paradigms other than her own. her own opinions are truth because it's all she knows. her opinions on people are based almost entirely on how they treat her. in a similar vein, choseung doesn't like anything serious. she hates heavy moments and does her best to diffuse them, even if it isn't appropriate for her to do so. she has an unyeilding amount of energy and always knows how to bring up the mood of a room. mischievious and energetic, she resembles a puppy. one of her favorite past times is teasing the members and finding new ways to prank them ( just watch out  if they ever decide to scold her for her incoveniences ). choseung is an honest girl, to the point where she often forgets how to conduct herself with tact. in her mind, what's the point of pretense and manners if someone is just going to lie? it's to the extent that if variety show hosts or radio hosts ask her if there have been times where she's felt wronged, or if she takes issue with any member, or on the closeness of members, she will tell them literally everything.

lee choseung was born as the only child to kim chorong and lee seungbae, and she was a very loved and adored child. her parents would always beg her to act cute and they were always incredibly happy when she obliged. growing up, choseung was always a very popular girl, she was always friendly and making friends wherever she went. her hobbies when she waas younger was whatever got her attention, and that was mostly singing and dancing. choseung's parents supported her unconditionally in whatever she wanted to do, and gave her anything she needed to do that. choseung decided she wanted to be an idol when she was 12, when her parents firmly told her she couldn't be a jobless bum forever. but didn't pursue joining a company until she was around 14, in which she auditioned for ammo and got accepted.

choseung and her parents have always been very close, they've always doted on her and made sure both her wants and needs were fulfilled. they're both a bit overbearing, especially with choseung living in emanon's dorm and not with them, which can annoy her a lot. however, she always appreciates it when her parents stop buy with things like medicine and a good homecooked meal. her parents are also close with the other members, having all of their contact information. when emanon's members were finally confirmed, they introduced themselves to each member and bought them each their own little fruit basket as celebration. her parents always encourage choseung to be friendlier to the members she isn't as close to. they especially have a soft spot for aowen and think she's just so lovely and well-behaved. around holidays, they always extend an invitation to her. seungbae is more of a softie, a kind and gentle and slightly timid man whereas chorong is more outgoing and warm.

"in unnie's eyes, i'm nothing more than her giant baby, aren't i? i'm an adult, unnie!"
hana and choseung are the dubbed mother-daughter duo of the group, what with them being both the oldest and youngest of the group. and as such, they truly do have a relationship resembling a mother and daughter. hana always watches out for choseung to make sure she's eaten and taken care of herself and any chores. the two are very affectionate and are often seen hugging or cuddling one another, but because choseung is so moody, she goes through phases where she hates hana touching her and will loudly whine and complain. one thing that does constantly get on choseung's nerves is the fact that hana always treats her like a baby, pinching her cheek, always trying to fix choseung's hair and clothes, trying to give her unsolicited advice, and just in general acting as if choseung can't do anything herself. sometimes she rebels against hana, ignoring or pretending not to hear the things she's said. despite this, hana is one of the members choseung is closest to. choseung will often go to hana to talk about her problems.

 

JI SHINAE !
"unnie is like... annoying fermented ginseng paste."
these two would be great friends. they're both bright and bubbly, and together make up part of emanon's vitamin line, but shinae's insensitivity paired with choseungs sensitivity prevents choseung to be very close with her. when they're out doing an activity together, they get along well. however, as soon as shinae points out even the tiniest thing about choseung, the younger girl gets upset and sulky and refuses to talk to shinae. things get especially frustrating to choseung when shinae's power is enhanced senses, meaning that she could tell what choseung was saying, could tell if choseung smelled a little funny, and shinae's directness meant she would point it out without fail. choseung thinks shinae is very overwhelming and a bit annoying.

 

JEON JIYOON !
"unnie is totally chic! just my style~"
choseung adores jiyoon. she thinks jiyoon is really cool and reliable, and kinda like the male leads in the manhwa she reads.  she likes how "chill" jiyoon comes across, totally not recognizing it as what it actually is, nihilism-based apathy. in addition, choseung fails to recognize jiyoon's true feelings towards her, most likely seeing the maknae in a lense of mild annoyance. however, thanks to jiyoon's powers, she knows choseung far better than most of the other members, though she probably finds it a bit annoying because choseung's thoughts are loud and constant and erratic. though jiyoon doesn't go out of her way to comfort choseung, she also doesn't go out of her way to bother her, which choseung loves. not to mention, choseung loves puns and is immediately smitten with anyone who can come up with them. honestly, choseung and jiyoon are probably akin to a little girl having a crush on an older neighbor boy.

 

IM YOONBYUL !
"unnie is mine!"
besides hana, choseung is also close to yoonbyul. the two of them togetehr make up the beagle line. when they're together, always expect a lot of screaming and bouncing around and all-in-all having a good time. they play hard together, often with yoonbyul getting them into some kind of trouble with her impulsiveness. the pair goes out together frequently. yoonbyul is someone choseung can go to when she's feeling sad, because moonbyul knows exactly how to cheer her up. when choseung is in a bad mood, only yoonbyul can interact with her and put her back in a regular mood.

 

WANG AOWEN !
"unnie is no fun! no jams unnie!"
even though hana is choseung's mama, and even though aowen is only a year older than her, all aowen seems to do is scold and nag choseung. it drives her crazy, especially since they're both part of the maknae line, kinda in a "who are you to think you're able to scold me?". they're both direct and prideful girls, so when aowen steps on choseung's toes or when choseung is being mean and cranky, they'll both say something to one another, which can quickly lead to them spatting. it is easiest for aowen to speak to choseung, both because she's younger and because she speaks very plainly, but most of the time their conversations turn into arguments. choseung honestly thinks she's annoying and boring, especially with the way she conducts herself on variety shows.

TRAINEE LIFE » 
choseung's training life was what most people in the industry would consider standard. she had highs and lows, doing rather well in dancing but needed a bit more work on her vocals. she was rather popular among the other trainees for her appearance and charm, and older girl trainees would always make choseung do aegyo for them so that they could be "healed". many trainees acknowledge that choseung was not the most skilled or talented trainee when it came to vocal, rap, or dance skills, but they did agree that she had a certain star quality to her. most trainees in the company weren't too upset when choseung made it into emanon because of her charm, but a few questioned the higher up's decisions.

NECKLACE » 

a teardrop smoky quartz stone on a 14k gold fill chain. choseung's gemstone is more of a brown variation of a smoky quartz, almost like smoke muddled with dirt. she prefers to keep it on a shorter, almost choker-length chain so that it can't get too far away from her. when choseung uses her powers, it reacts in a manner similar to how she's using it, such as pressing hard enough into her skin to leave an indent, or floating away from her body within the limits of the chain.

gravitational manipulation. she can do things such as move objects and people closer to her, increase and decrease an object's density. with more control and training, she can crush things and reflect any thrown objects, even create a shield of compressed gravity waves, and even bend light and sound to make herself more difficult to notice. at it's very strongest, she may even be able to create small wormholes.

one of the first girls to manifest her powers, choseung felt like a lot of things she felt were unexplained in her life were beginning to make sense. almost everyone she met has called her magnetic, or referenced feeling drawn to her. it actually manifested on accident, in one of her mood swings, she was sulking in the practice room corner starting at her water bottle, and next thing she knew, it shot across the room and hit one of the older girls. so in addition to the reassuring satisfaction of having an aspect of herself explained, came the annoying scolding of an unnie.

aside from that, she found it all exciting, kinda like one of those manga books she would occasionally read at the bookstore. she immediately started playing around with her powers, trying to figure out what exactly she could do.

how did you feel about eom jiae?

"hmm, when we were still group mates she was okay i guess. she never seemed like she wanted to play or really get along with anyone. and then what she did... looking back everything about her is kinda scary, to think that we were all spending time with someone who could do something like that. and honestly, the aftermath and everything is annoying to deal with too because that reflects badly on us!"
 

how about we talk about your necklace? how did you feel about it?

"i mean it's kinda cute, but i don't usually like wearing necklaces so it'll take some getting used to. the whole saving the world part is kinda like sailor moon, so that's cool, but it'll probably get annoying too..."
 

did anything started changing after getting it?

"now whenever the unnies are being annoying i can close the door while they're talking so i don't have to listen to them! and i can like move stuff without touching, which is totally cool!"
 

what do you feel about the other members?

"annoying, but sometimes in a good way. i'm joking! i'm very grateful to the unnies for watching out for me but i'm also basically an adult so they don't need to take care of me all the time."
