— Standing at 152 cm, she definitely looks like she has some more meat on her than most girls. She's not slim but fit, thanks to years of playing soccer, surfing and doing yoga. Serenity has a few body modifications such as nine piercings on either one of her ears along with a few tattoos. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

She stands out more when she smiles, she's got dimples on both of her cheeks, a trait that sets her apart from her siblings. She also has a few scars on the back of her neck from years of surfing. They aren't very noticable since she usually wears her hair down. They only become visible when her hair is up. She's also got some scars along her thighs and upper arms from self harm.

prsoNlity. first look at her and she sometimes looks almost emotionless. Serenity is definitely an introvert, it's not that she hates people, it's just that she doesn't like to hang out with the big crowds. Even from an early age, she usually clung to her older siblings and at school, she would have a close friend or two. She liked small numbers, it was more comfortable that way. 

her words speak louder that her actions though. she finds it easier to say what's on her mind, rather than showing someone her feelings. one of her many charms as to why people believe she 's a cold person. even as a child, she was the quiter out of the three Kang siblings. the little actions she does share, do speak louder than her words sometimes. when she does speak what's on her mind, her words sometimes do come out a little too straightforward.

she's the type of person that when they are determinded to complete a goal, they really set their minds to it. but often times she does feel a little insecure of herself and sometimes even contradicts herself. whatever criticism she gets, she doesn't take lightly. she'll often hold grudges over it. 

despite being soft-spoken, she finds it easy to connect with others. she enjoys the chance to be able to take care of others. even if sometimes it does end up draining her of all her energy. that is usually when she becomes withdrawn from others. 

bckground. Serenity was born in Sydney, Australia. her mother was a model and her father am emtrepreneur. you could say her family was well off but they did not flaunt it. her parents always reminded their children to remain humble, even though they were fortunate enough to live a lavish lifestyle. Serenity and her family traveled a bit but for the most part they either resided in Sydney or Seoul. 

because of her parents busy schedules, the kids were often left in the care of a nanny. they didn't resent them for that, they were actually rather understanding of it. during their breaks from school, Serenity and her siblings would often spend it with their grandparents in Seoul. it was what she looked forward to every year.

it wasn't around till middle school, when she and her sister were on their way with their parents to pick up their eldest brother. Serenity doesn't remember what happened exactly or she likes to make herself believe that she doesn't because otherwise she would go back to blaming herself for what happened. All she claims to remember were her and her sister arguing one minute, their mother telling them to stop before their car was struck by another and everything going black. 

she tells herself that all she remembers is waking up in a hospital bed, laying across from her sister and their brother sitting at the end of their beds with blood shot eyes, because if she tells herself otherwise, her parents deaths are her fault. If she tells herself that the reason why they had to leave their home and move to Seoul to live with her grandparents because a drunk driver swerved into the wrong lane, kiling her parents, she won't put the blame on herself or on her sister. she might be able to feel less guilty even after being told countless of times that it wasn't her fault or her sister's. even if her brother has forgiven them. she knows it was her fault.

after moving with her grandparents, they had her in therapy for years. sometimes she would have to stay in the hospital depending on how bad she'd get. she was constantly in and out of the hospital which made it harder for her to get close to anyone. she would sometimes rarely speak to her siblings and would only speak to her grandparents.

as cliche as it might be, serenity always had a crush on her big brother's best friend. she was used to seeing noah all the time, since he did spend a lot of time over at their house but he always made her stumble with her words. she swore that he probably thought she was an idiot. noah grew up with the kang siblings in sydney and later moved to seoul for college. serentiy confied in her sister and minseo about her crush on noah but was always too afraid of saying anything to chase, much less to noah. often times she feels like he might only think of her as his best friend's little sister. she's also afraid that her brother might disapprove if anything were to happen between them. (or so she thinks).

noah gets along well with both gabriella and serentiy, although  he subtlely tries to show his feelings for the youngest kang.  much like chase, noah tends to check up on serenity to make sure things are going okay. aside from minseo, noah is aware of serenity's ptsd and their parents accident.

 Minseo and Serenity met when Serenity moved to Korea to live with her grandparents. They were actually neighbors and quickly became friends. Aside from her sister, Serenity seemed to be joined at the hip with Minseo. In school they were dubbed as the dynamic duo. Minseo, much like her siblings, tries her best to support Serenity. Minseo is the more mischevious out of the two and often times drags Serenity into her shananigans. She may or may not be egging on her best friend to confess already to her long time crush.

Gabriella and Serenity had been close since a young age but after the accident, the girls drifted apart a bit with Serenity being hospitolized and Gabriella's own guilt. The girls still keep in touch but often their schedules don't meet. Gabriella loves her little sister very much and they often text each other to remind each other that they've made it through.

After losing their parents, Chase made it his duty to look after his sisters, after all he was the eldest. Even though there's not that big of an between the three, Chase always took care of his sisters. From an early age, he was always protective of them and became more protective of them after the accident. He's always the one who keeps the most tabs on the girls.

Serenity had to admit, when she first met Siyun she had a feeling the two wouldn't get along. Siyun was definitely an extrovert and Serenity an introvert but with time, she grew to see that wasn't the case. Thankfully they both had a few common interests despite seeming so different. If there's one housemate she can trust, it's definitely Siyun.

Serenity appreciates that yoonjae doesn't ask when he sees her up at night after one of her attacks. she admits that it's taken some work to get close to him but she blames it mostly on herself. she's gotten used to seeing him at the bar when she works and usually offers him free drinks. she appreciates when he gives her a lift home. she can say that she's getting pretty comfortable around him.

the girls bonded over harry potter and the rest was history. it was as if serenity had found her other half (just don't let minseo find out), the girls have a lot of similiar interests so it was easy for serenity to click with mijin quickly. serenity can appreciate that she's not the only girl that's reserved in the house.

serenity couldn't take this girl serious the first time they met. she might've also went into shock the few times the younger would embrace her. serenity still isn't sure about the younger girl. she doesn't interact very much with her. but she's noticed how the others interact with eunchae. maybe one day serenity will try and get to know her, one day.

sumi is a light sleeper, serenity is a heavy sleeper. sumi is a morning person, serenity isn't. the girls are as different as night and day but they get along fairly well. serenity uses english a lot when it's just the two of them to get sumi in the habit of speaking it more. one day serenity might find out about sumi's bullies and although she's usually not the confrontational type, she might have to put a stop to the bullies. serenity simply adores her roomie and is rather thankful they got paired up.

dayeon might be the other girl in the share house who has the same stoic expression as serenity. the girls don't interact too much because of serenity's social skills of a coconut. dayeon may one day trick get serenity into eating something she's cooked (because serenity is a foodie) and that starts the start of their friendship. serenity will tell her how much of a bad cook she is, whilst baking something for the other girl in return of the meal.

yujin made the mistake of calling serenity the weird girl and since then she hasn't sat well with serenity. serenity isn't the type to really care what others think or say about her but for some reason hearing her call her that bothered her. serenity refers to her as the tippler whenever anyone asks about her. after that serenity tries to avoid the girl but when she can't, her responses to her are usually something snarky or short. it's not that serenity hates her, she just doesn't have an opinion of her. sometimes she doesn't understand why yujin tries to include her in but it makes her feel rather awkward around her.

leslie and serenity's interactions include snarky and witty comments towards each other. serenity isn't too bothered by his flirtatious and cocky behavoir unless it comes to watching a game. whenever a game comes on it's usally leslie, chanwoo and serenity taking up the tv and trash talking each other's teams, unless they're rooting for the same team.

out of the guys in the house, hyunseok is probably the one serenity actually enjoys arguing with. their arguments are usually really pointless but it keeps them entertained, after all he is studying law. serenity says it's good pratice for him. while hyunseok is the resident chef, serenity is the resident baker. when she bakes, serenity likes to play her music outloud which seems to bother hyunseok because of his dislike to hardcore music. which serenity simply tells him to it up.

serenity considers taejoon the biggest mind ever but in a good way. she consideres him to be a breathe of fresh air. serenity usually doesn't show her emotions but around him, it's not rare to find her smiling or laughing along with him. when the others start teasing him or talking about , serenity usually tries to cover his ears. she also likes to look at his artwork. serenity is rather protective of taejoon and chanwoo, seeing them as little brothers.

serenity refers to chanwoo as her emo little brother, despite the fact that he towers over her. the two were raised by their grandparents and shared a closeness with their grandmothers, one of the factors that made them quickly bond. whenever serenity's grandmother visits, she likes to bring chanwoo little treats and genuienly takes care of him. her late nights usually include staying up and playing video games with chan or running to the corner store with him for snacks.

serenity consideres jaewon to be the most reliable out of all the guys in the house. much like her, he's also an introvert so while the others are being loud and roudy, it's usually the two of them that hang back and watch. personality wise, he's the closest to her, making it easy to get along with him.

— because of her PTSD, she has recurring nightmares about the accident which she doesn't talk about. aside from her family members and her two best friends, no one else knows about her PTSD. they are however aware of what happened to her parents but usually they tend to not bring it up. 
— she was suicidal in her early teens, she's got scars to prove it but she does a pretty good job of hiding them. be it layering up or covering them up with make up.
— she's never spoken about her family's social status or wealth so she tries to keep it on the downlow

what does your side of the room look like?. 

           

— her side of the room is usually kept clean and tidy, she doesn't like to leave a mess aside from sometimes having her clothes miss the laundry hamper. everything is pretty well organized for the most part. since she has to share the room, she tries to be curtious and makes sure they can both be as comfortable as possible.

daily schedule. 

— Serenity is definitely not a morning person so her mornings don't start until eight am, which is usually the earliest she'll force herself to wake up. her first classes are around ten thirty so it gives her time to fully wake up, get ready and go to class. she normally works out after classes, as a stress relief unless it's one of the mornings where she wakes up earlier than usual and decides to work out.

she attends classes monday through thursday mornings, giving her the nights and weekends off for homework and work. weekday nights are usually spent with Minseo and Noah or hangs back with the others. friday and saturday mornings are usually her lazy days, while sundays are family days. sundays are usually spent at her grandparent's house or either going to church with her grandma, followed by eating out. on the weekends her shifts usually don't start till after seven pm and end at two am.
