— dohwa developed her shyness starting from her child, her mother was always busy with her clothing store and her father was almost never home due to his military duties. she spent most of her time at home alone, listening to the radio and watching tv. she would always listen to the jazz station and watch old black and white hollywood movies. she focused on studying when she was in school rather than friends because she didn't have many to focus on.she was a good student and took ballet lessons at a young age. she dreamed of doing ballet professionally and often sang as a hobby. dohwa's father preferred she work in the miltary like him but supported her dream along with her mother.

They sent dohwa to TKS, a school for korean students in Tokyo, Japan which was where she had to give up on a dream and found a new one. She made friends with a group of sophomores who took an interest in her from coming from the same hometown. they brought out a brighter version of her and became close to her surprisingly quickly. amongst those friends were zico and penomeco. dohwa devoped asthma in the middle of her freshman year, preventing her from dancing and doing ballet. she pushed herself to dance even with the asthma and worsened it. she was forced to give up on ballet and fell into a slight slump.

zico and penomeco introduced her to hiphop and r&b during her sophomore year which she picked up quickly. she replaced ballet with rap and singing although she enjoyed dancing once in a while. dohwa kept in contact with her friends even though they graduated, coming back to them a year later when she graduated. she sang and rapped underground for a while until she was scouted by jay park through a mutual friend. she graduated college and debuted in mid 2014

WHAT HAPPENEd before Q₩EEN dyNASTY 

— when dohwa debuted in mid 2014, she received a lot of hate for being close friends with zico and her unusual vocal color. she sang mostly r&b and jazz which was uncommon. they often bashed her for singing with a "hip hop" label when she had a slightly different style. hate comments affected her severely and anti-fan attacks drove her to social anxiety. she became afraid of performing and receiving judgement. her hands would shake and would tense up, preventing her from singing. she would always drink alcohol to forget her fears. jay park and simon d recommended that she take a break until she could be comfortable with performing again. dohwa left for japan the very next day, leaving her friends and fans confused. she stayed for a few months and returned to korea. she spent time with her closest friends and slowly got back into singing. dohwa and her friends brought up the idea of performing as a crew and dohwa took it seriously. she stayed up for days planning for Q₩EEN dyNASTY and her friends were shocked by her preparations but agreed to participate. they were all excited for this fresh chance at their dream.

honeybeat reported to have admitted into the hospital after drinking a poisoned beverage from a anti-fan. an anti-fan gave her a poinsoned drink after a show and honeybeat unknowingly drank it all. she didn't realize any problems until she threw up blood and fainted. she was taken to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. AOMG released a statement calming worried fans. honeybeat is now resting at the hospital and on her way to recovery.
