She is very pale and has clear skin (it wasn't the case during her preteen days). She has a naturally noticable brown hair that is naturally wavy. She has a bit of baby fat on her cheeks and has monolids. She's known for looking like a Fennec fox with her feline eyes and pointy ears. She has thin ankles and long, thick eyebrows. She well known for her thigh muscles that appear when she dances

Galatea likes to wear leather, denim, and stripes. She keeps to dark or monochrome colors. She likes to wear sweaters/layers and likes to wear coats. She dislikes purses, clutches, headbands, and hats. Galatea likes heels and sneakers/running shoes. She prefers wordless, designless clothes. she makes sure that looks presentable at all times bcause she believes that it'll make an impression.

strict/blunt : Galatea has a no-nonsense type of personality. On the show, it is clear that she doesn't want her fellow contestants to slack off and has clear expectations. Her way of talking is very blunt. She's straight to the point and hates stalling. She's realistic and takes down any unrealistic hopes. She doesn't like hope and chances.She says it like she sees it.

committed : Galatea doesn't give up and is a loyal person. She makes sure that she gives her all to whatever she does. She'll sacrifice everything for her dream but will always have a back up plan. Her dedication was what made YG add her into the [Rise of the Punkers] line up.

old-fashioned : Galatea believes in very old culture and mannerisms. She believes in duties as a daughter and responsibility as the first born of her family. She believes that the way to repay her parents is to succeed and support them financially. She makes sure that her respect for elders is noticable and that she is responsible for her younger sister and younger trainees.

proactive : Galatea is the type to make things happen rather than wait for it to happen. this also applies to her love life. she likes to be the one in control and does not like being applied to gender norms. she has a strong personality and can be a bit intimidating.

charming : galatea has this attractive aura. the way she works hard, her ambitiousness, her intelligence, her responsibility, and her athletisism. it makes her appealing to others. her charm and personality brings her respect in the entertainment world. 

sentimental : galatea believes that everything has a meaning whether you know it or not. memories and experiences mean a lot to her. but this side of her is often hidden and only a few people know about this. this is also what makes her lyrics impactful and relatable.

Galatea is good at hiding her feelings and will often not tell otthers if she's sad or tired or hurting. she doesn't express her feelings and keeps them to herself. she believes that she can handle everything and blames it on herself if it goes wrong. she is not very talkative and enjoys simplicity. she knows her limits and is very clear on her likes and dislikes.
 

background.  how did their background influence them?

Galatea's parents were rich before they came to England but citizenship and visa problems emptied out their wallets. Galatea's father tried to get a job in England but the only jobs available for non citizens were low paying ones. When Galatea was born, her parents were lucky enough to have saved up money to raise her. Galatea was born in a poor environment and was often left at daycares. Her parents had to work for almost half the day with minimum wage. Galatea watched her parents struggle to give Galatea a comfortable and happy life. She learned that she would have to work hard for what she wants and should be grateful for simple things at a young age. Galatea's sister Athena was born and Galatea felt a sense of duty to take care of her sibling anf be responsible. Galatea tried her best to be a role model for her little sister by studying hard and taking care of her while their parents were working. Galatea enjoyed listening to music and dancing in competitions to help her parents earn money. She danced and dabbled in singing. Her parents supported her dream and encouraged her to pursue a life in the entertainment industry. They wanted their daughters to have a better life and have happiness. Galatea joined her middle school choir to improve her singing and continued teaching herself dances from videos. Galatea suddenly stumbled upon a video of Bigbang singing and dancing. She got hooked on them and other groups like 2ne1 and tvxq and t-ara. She fell in love with the style that kpop displayed and aspired to be like a kpop star. When YG Entertainment announced that they were going to the UK and hold auditions, it was the best day of her life. Her parents rooted for her and agreed to letting her audition. She passed all the rounds and became a YG trainee in 2009 at the age of 16.

– Father :: James Jihoon Cho (58) / sushi chef / silly, responsible, resillient / Galatea and her father have a very sweet father and daughter relationship. Even though they are far away from each other, Jihoon always supports his daughter's dream and shows how proud he is. Galatea is always thankful to her father and is sorry she cannot do more for him. she holds her father close to her heart and is always worrying about him.

– Mother :: Yunice Yeonji Cho (57) / cosmetics salesperson / anxious, hardworking, cute  / Yeonji is always checking up on Galatea and is always worrying for her. Yenoji would keep Galatea updated about the family and would send her care packages. Galatea is always telling her mother to take care of herself and misses her constantly. Galatea is always trying to make her mother proud and is thankful for taking care of her little sister in her stead.

– Sister :: Athena Eunha Cho (16) / student / rebellious, loud, active / Athena has a slight grudge against her sister since she's been in Korea for almoSt half of her life but Galatea understands. Galatea feels sorry for not being able to see her little sister grow up and promises to spend more time with after she debuts. Galatea sends Athena letters and hopes she can be a role model for her little sister.

– Best Friend :: Almi Ulrich (15) / trainee / free-spirited, confident, honest  / Almi caught Galatea's attention since Almi is only a year younger than Athena. They get along very well since they both have similar personalities. Galatea views Almi as a younger sister and Almi views Galatea as the older sister she never had. Galatea officially declared Almi her best friend when Almi told Galatea that she would share her parents with Galatea after Galatea's parents video-called for the very first time.

– Best Friend :: iKON BI (19) / idol rapper / determined, shy, ambitious  / Hanbin and Galatea are best friends. They are both hardworking and ambitious people. They met when they had to write lyrics together. They've been friends ever since. Hanbin is always supporting Galatea's dream and Galatea is an avid fan of iKON.

years trained & trainee life.  7 years 

Galatea auditioned for YG in 2009 while they were in the UK. She won 1st place in YG Auditions in the UK. She officially signed as a YG trainee on August 2009. Galatea flew over to Korea and started training there. She spoke fluent Korean so she didn't have trouble with the language barrier and had no problem with the cultural differences. Galatea attended SOPA during the first year trainee life. She tried hard to maintain her good grades while improving her skills. Her life was a  blur during her school days and she watched many trainees come and go. Galatea missed her family while training but never thought of giving up. She constantly practiced and stayed late in hopes of achieving the best results on the monthly examinations. Galatea wondered whether or not she should attend college since she wanted to keep training but decided it would be best to have a backup plan in case she wouldn't get to debut. Her high scores allowed her to skip the last year of high school and attracted the attention of many prestigious colleges and Galatea chose Yonsei University at the age of 17. Galatea often struggled to keep up her studies in the university but managed to get through it. YG noticed her hard work and put her in the line up for PINK PUNK in 2013. Many trainees and fans rooted for her during the years of uncertainty and exhaustion. As Galatea was getting ready to debut, she graduated Yonsei University in 2015. YG considered Galatea to be in BLACK PINK but was replaced by Lisa. YG chose Lisa over Galatea since Lisa had a bigger fanbase although Galatea was a much better singer and danced a bit better than her. When she was told she wouldn't be debuting with Black Pink, she was devastated and spent everyday in the studio and practice rooms trying to prove YG wrong. She felt wronged and tried to figure out how Lisa was better than her even though Galatea clearly spent more time into training. But she didn't know that YG had plans for her to be part of ROP instead.

What do you look forward the most in this show? 
I look forward to showcasing my hidden talents to the audience and letting everyone know the 7 years of training were worth it.

What's your resolution? 
It's debuting for sure. I don't see how it can be anything else.
