So, hyunwook is a very complicated character, as shown from his traits above. generally, shin hyunwook is a confident person who has a foul mouth and a sarcastic nature to boot. he rarely is pleasant unless something had made him immensely happy - such as mastering a new skill or jineul goes over; which rarely happens. he is an energetic person who never seems to run out of energy when fighting, an excellent trait when on the battlefield.
his temper is to be handled delicately. once it is set off, hardly anything could stop him so if people are smart they better stay the away because goodness knows what shin hyunwook would do when he's mad. so far, he had 1) killed something 2) beaten the out of someone 3) destroyed and trashed a whole room 4) sulked for a whole week.

at about the age of six, he encountered his own powers - which his parents were there to actually witness. they taught him the basics of how to control his power, but since it was such a rare type they could do no more and so sent him to an instructor.
Since he was from a huge family of mages, hyunwook didn't receive education from the school, and instead was homeschooled and taught privately at home, as well as by his instructor who goes to his house nearly every day.
he was then taught different kinds of combat skills, as well as of course how to control his own powers by the instructor. at the age of twelve, he was out strolling with his brother when something foreign from the other lands managed to break through rokia's walls. it was the first time hyunwook killed something, and since then he had been assisting with the destruction of foreign monsters from the far lands along with his brother.
time skip to the age of sixteen. hyunwook was doing his patrols, as usual, when he was suddenly accompanied by another mage, an amateur one. while, at first he found the other boy extremely annoying, he had grown to be used to him since they were assigned to be partners, and then it grew into something more.
at the age of seventeen, the captain of the patrol unit recommended him to the king, who then assigned him to be part of the grand order.
LIFESTYLE:
he spends most of his time at home, either training, sleeping, reading or eating with his brother. the two engage in mock battles whenever they're bored, and goes out strolling in the streets because the huge house can be stuffy for the two of them. then he goes on his regular patrols for about two hours because rokia is huge, reports to the captain and goes home with his brother together, occassionally heading to parks or libraries, or just hang out somewhere.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TRAINING?: meh, ever since I can remember. good ol' mom and dad are both mages, so i guess...i'm not sure actually though, just a really long time. does it even goddamn matter?
