Bungeoppang (붕어빵) :: named after the fish-shaped Korean street food, Dahee may look scary with a hard exterior when you first lay eyes on her presence, the other trainees have come to learn that Dahee is actually a friendly. Like the food, which has a crunchy pastry exterior but a sweet, warm filling once you get past the outer layer. A nickname editted into footage by staff whenever Dahee surprises someone with her personality.
Chief Judge (판사) :: whenever an argument breaks out between trainees, Dahee is the usually the mature one to hear both party's versions before creating a compormise that pleases both.

Faceclaim. Huihyeon/Cathy (DIA).
Backup. Jiho (Oh My Girl) or Seulgi (RV).

Her hair has been dyed a golden brown shade (x) for quite a while now. It currently reaches her elbows and Dahee likes to style them in loose waves. However, looking for change, Dahee plans on getting bangs and t her hair armpit length, as well as lightening the colour (x) some time soon for a more mature look.

Taller than the average Korean, Dahee stands at 171 cm and weighs 55 kg. Although having a slim figure, she isn't scarily thin like some of the females in the industry due to her lack of exercise and abundance of oreos.

Style. To the dismay of her traditional mother who expects her daughter to dress in ruffles and dresses, Dahee likes to embrace her rap background. Her style can be catergorised a street, urban and grunge. Wears a lot of oversized shirts/hoodies and flannels

Personality Traits.
《 pos 》outgoing, cooperative, decisive, reasonable, fair and daring.
《 neg 》under-achiever, lazy, unfit, blunt, selfish and weak-minded.
《 neu 》independent, observant, cunning and money-efficient.

Personality.

《 positives 》

Aware of her intimidating appearance, Dahee knows that others will usually keep their distance from her so Dahee always makes the effort to introduce herself in the situation where she is around new people. Dahee's outgoing personality finds no trouble in finding a mutual topic of interest with the other party, in order to keep the conversation going. Thanks to her outgoing persona, Dahee doesn't struggle with team work as she is cooperative and is willinging to participate as she understands the importance of group harmony in order to triumph in the end - even if she does prefer to work alone since that means that only she can be praised. Dahee is a very decisive person, able to make decisions quickly and effectively as she is firmly certain of her dislikes and likes, strengths and weaknesses. Living up to her nickname; Chief Judge, Dahee takes on the role of justice amongst the girls. Her choices are reasonable and fair, she fixes problems in a just and pragmatic manner. Unafraid of taking risky chances that have no guarantee of succeeding, Dahee is a daring young woman who is more than willing to play a game of chance with the devil. Was that one child in elementary school that had the school try save her because she interpreted a dare to climb the tallest tree a bit too seriously.

《 negatives 》

Every person's flaws stem from a larger part of their life that has had a lasting impact on them. For Dahee, this is her diabetic condition. This wasn't always how she lived but after years of being excused from so many things due to her diabetes, Dahee as grown to manipulate the advantages that come with her condition. Her dance trainers at YG were warned of her physical setback so throughout her years of training, Dahee has been excused of from choreographing various times. This has led her to convince herself that having learnt half the choreography is enough, after all, she wouldn't want to faint from a hypo now would she. Because of the excuses she's made to others and herself, Dahee has become an underachiever when it comes to dance, content with simply putting in a little of her time and effort. Due to her lack of physical activity, Dahee is lazy and unfit in comparison to other trainees who possess high stamina levels because of their dance regime. While Chief Judge Dahee is extremely appreciated by the other trainees, her blunt honesty is sometimes uncalled for. Growing up in her household, Dahee's mother would always make snide comments about everyone that weren't necessarily false so now, Dahee subconsciously lets her opinion slip at times. Althought every other contestant on Princess is desperate too, Dahee feels the need to prove her uptight mother wrong to the point where her motivation can blind her morals. Although Dahee has become a mother figure to some of the younger trainees, ultimately, she is a selfish being. Dahee is weak-minded and will fall victim to the Mnet's bribes and temptations, choosing the option that is most beneficial to herself if it means her chances of winning are heightened.

《 neutrals 》

Thanks to not only growing up with her mother, whose views on nearly everything clashed with her own, Dahee's history in the underground rap scene helped shape her independency. While she is capable and willing to complete group work, Dahee would prefer to work alone - unless it's dance because then, she'll try pair up with the best dancer to leech off of. As a self-sufficient person, Dahee has learnt that sitting back is often the best choice when she needs to observe the other trainees, to decide who she can benefit the most from befriending. Cunning, Dahee managed to skip months of after-school maths lessons to attend the underground rap scene before her mother found out. Even to this day, Dahee knows tricks around the strict rules that apply for trainees like what time their managers sleep and the shift times of specific convenience store workers that are willinging to sell trainees snacks for free. While being money-efficient can be a great thing - especially for trainees who still owe their company money - Dahee can be a little too strict sometimes due to her childhood where money wasn’t exactly her best friend.

Background.

Born in Seoul to only her mother; Hyejin, Dahee’s father was never mentioned as part of her life. This was hard for her family since her mother was the only financial provider in the household. So while the Song’s weren’t poverty-stricken, they definitely struggled at times. A big aspect of Dahee’s life while growing up was being catholic. Since Dahee’s mother was very religious, she would attend church every Sunday from a young age.

Since Hyejin was the only financial provider of the family, Dahee owed it to her to start working once she turned 14 years old. In 2010, Dahee started work, waitressing at a cafe while simultaneously juggling 2nd year of middle school. It was also around this time that she started experiencing noticeable weight loss, fatigue and blurred vision frequently. However, she brush it off as merely stress from trying to keep up with various aspects in her life. It was during this period that Dahee started writing poems since she needed an outlet for her stress and her mother wasn’t exactly an empathetic person.

In her last year of middle school during a P.E lesson, Dahee had fainted while running laps with her class. Once at the hospital, her mother was informed that Dahee had Type 1 diabetes that had been inherited from her father. From that day on, Dahee needed to avoid excessive hours of vigorous exercise and inject about 20 units total of insulin per day.

She started high school at Jawoon High School, a standard public school in Dobong-gu. Even though her mother wanted her to attend a catholic school, between the two of them working, Dahee and Hyejin couldn’t find the money for the demanding fees on a private school. To ensure that her daughter would have a bright future with a stable job like an accountant or banker, Hyejin enrolled Dahee in after-school maths classes which she worked night shifts to earn the money for. Dahee started these in her first year of high school (2012).

In 2012, a few months into her high school experience, Dahee was persuaded by a few of her classmates to visit an underground rap club after school. Pinching her nose and talking in a nasally tone, Dahee told her maths teacher through the phone that
"my daughter, Dahee is too sick to attend your lesson today my apologies". What was meant to be a one time thing, quickly escalated as soon as Dahee laid ears on her first rap battle. The passion and freedom she felt flowing off those rappers made her fall in love.

And so with shaky hands and the same nasally voice, Dahee called her maths teacher the following week to inform him that her daughter would no longer be attended his classes. Instead, Dahee would visit the underground rap scene after school every day. It didn’t take her long to realise that her poems weren’t so different from these raps - they both poured out the emotions of the author in a raw, honest way. So, instead of her school homework, Dahee started to focus her time and attention of refining her poems, matching them to a hip hop beat. It became a normal occurrence for Dahee’s classmates to see her with a pen in as she enunciated words-turned-lyrics. Finally, Dahee found something she loved to do that the diabetes couldn’t infect.

In 2013, Dahee finally decided that practicing alone at 2 am under her blankets in the dim lighting of her phone flashlight wasn’t enough anymore. She was ready to go from a member of the crowd to being one of the two competitors in the centre. May 26th 2013; her first battle as well as first victory. And the streak continued, every battle that Dahee participated in, she emerged triumphant. This left everyone confused yet impressed; who was this high school girl and where did she come from.

She started her career nameless but after winning so many battles, hard-core fans of underground rap that would frequently attend soon gave her the name ‘Tiger-eyed Daze’, which she adopted as a stage name, due to her enticing lyrics that were hypnotising. For months everything in Daze the rapper’s world was fine and dandy. She was slowly working her way up the hierarchy and dedicated underground fans knew of her name, dubbing her the newcomer that was a force to look out for. However, the land of sunshine and unicorns didn’t last long. Hyejin was contacted by Dahee’s teachers who were worried about her deteriorating grades and lack of focus in class. When she was informed that Dahee’s current percentage in maths was 42%, Hyejin immediately called the math tutor to demand why he wasn’t doing his job properly. It was within that 1 minute and 52 second call that Hyejin discovered her innocent, perfect daughter wasn’t as pure as she thought. So, instead of attending one of her work shifts, Hyejin followed Dahee after school to see where she has been going this whole time.

Hyejin was not prepared for the sight in front of her. Sweaty bodies, shirtless men, baggy clothing and Dahee was standing in the middle of all this? Before the battle had started, Hyejin stormed up to Dahee while she was practicing alone and dragged her out of that place. Dahee, who was too shocked by the site of her mother, didn’t even put up a fight as she just stared at her mother with a mix of confusion, fear and surprise until they reached home.
"What were you thinking?! Please tell me this is your first time in such a revolting place Dahee" demanded Hyejin. Looking up from the ground, Dahee boldly looked into her mother’s eyes before firmly replying "mum, I know that I've done a lot of things behind your back but please, I've finally found something I love doing". All she got in return was a scoff of disbelief. "Love?! I raised you to get high grades, to get a stable job, to show your faith in God. And you claim to love sneaking off underground surrounded by sweaty men and hip-hop everyday?! Why can't you be more like Seunghee's daughter who's ranked first in violin in Seoul or like Yeseul's daughter whose artwork is getting displayed in the museum".

All her attempts of trying to reason with her mother was abruptly cut off whenever she brought it up. Dahee hated the fact that Hyejin would act like rapping was never apart of her life. Unable to even sneak off, Hyejin personally asked their neighbour to walk Dahee home from school and to inform her if she saw Dahee going out the house. So, Dahee lived a quiet student life, going back to doing her homework (but still writing lyrics during the night secretly).

However, a few months down the track in December, the Songs’ dinner was interrupted by a knock at the door. While Dahee continued eating, her mother’s voice called out to her, claiming the guest was looking for a Song Dahee. Sitting down on the couch, with her mother on her right and a man she’s never met sitting on the couch opposite her, Dahee was lost to say the least. Clearly his throat, the man began to speak when he noticed the weird looks Dahee was giving her mother.
"Hello my name is Kim Dongwoo. I believe you are Song Dahee, also going by Daze. I work as a talent scout for YG Entertainment and I've been trying to find you for the past few months now but with your absence from the underground scene, it's been quite difficult. We're highly interested in recruiting you as a trainee under our company".

A fumbling mess, Dahee couldn’t seem to form a proper sentence as she stared at Dongwoo.
"Y...G? Me trainee? Look for...scout...me?". Nodding the man shifted under the attention of the two Songs, "yes, a few of our scouts noticed you at the rap battles and we're interested in developing your talent". Dahee looked over to her mother, ready to get on her knees in front of this Kim Dongwoo guy to beg her for permission. "YES! SHE'LL DO IT! WHERE DOES SHE SIGN?", Dahee stared at her mother as if she grew 3 heads. Hyejin wore a bright smile and enthusiastic expression on her face as she accepted Dahee’s offer for her. "Actually this is just scouting. Will you be able to visit the company next week for your official auditon?""Yes, yes of course she'll be there!". After Dongwoo bowed to the pair and walked out the door, Hyejin grabbed onto Dahee and jumped up and down excessively. "Our Dahee is going to be a celebrity! Oh my, wait till I tell Seunghee and Yeseul!". Of course. Dahee had more luck asking a 2 year old to recite the periodic table than to hope that her mother finally appreciated her talents. All she wanted was a reason to brag to her friends. A materialistic title, something that would garner attention and would make others jealous.

None the less, Dahee attended the audition - for herself. There, she performed a self-written rap to Fetty Wap's 679 (x). Consequently, the judges claimed that she passed and Dongwoo presented a thin booklet from a folder and a pen from his suit pocket.
"This is the contract. Please read the terms and conditions then sign on the dotted line if you're willing to follow the guidlines". After quickly skimming over the booklet which presented standard rules like no plastic surgery, no contracts with other companies and staying a trainee from 2014-2017, Dahee signed the contract with only one thing in mind; achieving her dream.

   Trivia

Likes.

Oreos; Dahee is always seen snacking on the chocolate biscuits whenever she isn't practicing. The other trainees first expected for her to be told off by trainers but were surprised when they even encouraged for her to eat more. The high sugar content helps her to balance her glucose levels during her energy-draining activities.
– Skincare products; likes to keep ker skin in tip top shape. While Dahee is careful in terms of her usually expenses, she can't resist a good Innisfree sale.
– Oversized clothing; sweaters, hoodies, shirts, you name it, she's got it. Finds them more comfortable and is thankful that oversized clothes are considered trendy for rappers.
– Chokers; her favourite never-leave-the-house-without-at-least-one accessory. Her whole collection could probably be mistaken for a choker store.
– Favouristism + attention; as bad as it sounds, Dahee loves when trainers openly pay more attention to her even if it's sympathy or worry. Makes her feel appreciated and focused on.
– K-Hip Hop + R&B; her favourite artists include Zico, Crush, Jay Park, AOMG, DEAN, Heize, Suran, Kisum, Yezi and Hoody.

Dislikes.

– Orange juice; having been only drinking it since 2011 to balance her glucose levels, it's safe to say Dahee is sick of OJ. When other people suggest other fruit juices, she says she doesn't want those ruined for her too.
– Sunlight; has the type of skin that doesn't tan but burns instead. Will start to turn red after 20 minutes in the sun if she doesn't have sunscreen on.
– Papaya; hates the the taste, smell, texture, hell even the look of it. No one has succeeded in getting her to eat the fruit since she was young.
– Comparisons; doesn't like being compared to people which is hard to avoid in the industry she chose to work in.
– Dolls; a fear that developed after watching a horror movie when she was younger. Especially hates those creepy porcelain ones.
– Bright lights; whether it be the sun or light panels used during a photoshoot, Dahee starts to feels dizzy and sees spots if she looks at them for too long.

Habits and Hobbies.

Habits:
– Making hand gestures when she raps (x).
– Clapping her hands together when there's tension in the air.
– Braiding little sections of her hair absent-mindingly.
– Continuously biting on her lips when she's worried or nervous.

Hobbies:
– Looking for new beats she can rap to.
– Writing lyrics.
– Taking photos; whether it be of nature or the other girls.
– Cooking; since her mother would come home late from work, Dahee developed skills in the department.

Trivia.

Occupation; continued to work as a waitress after graduation. Took night shifts from 10 pm to 3 am after training.
Mulan; actually likes her representative Princess - yay for female power and women of colour whoop whoop.
Memes; all about that meme life and happily hops on the monthly trend train. Still dabs...A LOT.
RBF; is a victim of resting face which is why she looks intimidating at first.

Plotline. Mulan.
Label. YG Entertainment.

Trainee Years. 4 years.
Trainee Life.

– Dahee started her training under YG Entertainment in January 2014 at 17 years old. Upon entering the company, Dahee noticed that the girls who were closer to debut were already grouped in groups that YG planned to debut them in. It was evident amongst trainees that group 1, who consisted of Jisoo, Jennie, Chaeyoung and Lalisa was a lot more favoured than group 2 that was made up of Sua, Jinny, Seoyoung, Jiseo and Hanna despite group 2 being (dare she say) more talented, but lacking in the visual department.

At first Dahee was extremely diligent and would sneak into an unoccupied practice to dance whenever the trainers told her to sit out and rest. She was desperate to show that she was able to join group 1, which was obviously closer to debut. Thanks to her fiery rap, which she improved every passing day, and her diligent work ethic, Dahee was added to group 1’s line up in early 2015 after her high school graduation as the assigned main rapper.

At first, Dahee got along with the other girls well and tried her best to fit in since the quartet had been together since 2012. While her relationship with most of the girls was relatively neutral, her interactions with Jennie couldn’t be said the same. It wasn’t a secret amongst the YG trainees that Kim Jennie was a . She was cold and rude towards everyone who wasn’t the 3 girls in her group. Jennie looked down on everyone else and picked fights with the other girls with her blunt words. So while Jisoo, Chaeyoung and Lalisa were open to the idea of Dahee joining them, Jennie sat as far as she could from her and never initiated conversation. When Dahee tried bonding with her members, Jennie would turn a cold shoulder and walk away. However, this is because Jennie hated change and found it hard to open up to new people so she doesn't bother trying to expand out of her orginal group of friends anymore.

It was around mid-2015 when Dahee grew lazy and would stop her extra dance practices. When the dance trainers advised for her to sit out for the rest of the lesson, Dahee would plop down in the corner without hesitation and just write lyrics. Her laziness spread and what went from sitting out for the last 25% of dance class became sitting out for half the class. Dahee manipulated her condition negatively and would claim that she felt dizzy whenever she wasn’t bothered to dance. By the end of 2015, Dahee would only learn the first verse and little of the chorus of the choreography, if she had the effort that day, before sitting out. This led to her falling behind and dragging down group 1’s score during evaluations. This attitude continued to the point where her group members grew annoyed with her.

Up until early 2016, when YG announced that he planned on debuting group 1 in a few months times. This was her chance to finally perform onstage. All her members had been presented to the public; Jisoo was called the CF Goddess amongst the YG trainees now, Jennie featured in various of their seniors’ tracks, Chaeyoung featured on G-Dragon’s Without You while Lalisa modelled for Nonagon. So with her eyes set on debut, Dahee practiced the choreography for Boombayah and Whistle endlessly. She forgot meals, barely got any sleep and got so caught up in practice that she frequently neglected to check her blood sugar levels. On the 20th of June, Dahee was rushed to hospital after falling unconscious in the middle of dance practice. The doctors immediately gave her a shot of glucose upon arrival and soon after diagnosed her with severe hypoglycemia, with her blood sugar level at 38 mg/dL when the safe range is 72 to 126.

When he heard the news, her CEO curtly pulled her out and told the group that Dahee would no longer be apart of the group Black Pink, and thus would not participate in the filming of their debut music videos that were set to be in July. Funny isn’t it? How debuting with right in front of her but because of her greed to debut, it was snatched away at the last minute. After recuperating in the hospital for 2 weeks, Dahee was advised to rest and limit physical activity for the next few months but the first thing she did was return to the YG building. Demanding for her current status as a signed artist, Yang Hyunsuk told her that she would neither be joining Black Pink’s comeback nor joining group 2’s lineup.

Dahee stayed at home, unlively and unenthusiastic towards everything, especially when she saw Black Pink’s debut and their quick success. Officially returned to the company October 2016, training with the girls who weren’t even considered to be grouped. Dahee quickly went back to her old habits, using her diabetes as an excuse and spending her time on rap. What was the point when the same thing would happen if she tried again?

Relationship with other YG trainees.

Jisoo; like an older sister to her. Dahee felt closest to Jisoo amongst all the YG trainees.
Jennie; Dahee knew how the industry worked; those with experience had power. So, she put on a fake smile and would continuously try to befriend Jennie even though the girl hated her guts.
Chaeyoung; neutral relationship. Civil from both sides but label each other acquaintances at the most.
Lalisa; after Jisoo, Dahee would choose Lalisa as the second closest to her. But even then, the pair weren’t incredibly close - were able to be alone together without it being awkward but didn’t share the same bond as Dahee and Jisoo.
Sua; extremely competitive and the two were always trying to beat the other during evaluations. Dubbed the other as their main rival.
Jinny; to be honest, they found each other low-key annoying but didn’t openly display their feelings - just would try to avoid interactions.
Seoyeon; not many interactions.
Jiseo; not many interactions.
Hanna; friendly with each other and would smile when they pass in the hall, make conversation about the latest evaluation but didn’t seek interaction beyond that.
Current fellow trainees; Dahee hasn’t tried befriending any of the others on a personal level since she's joined them - merely acquaintances. Practice together and that’s it since she’s still bitter about missing out on her big chance.

Skill evaluation.

Rap; 1st ranked overall - she has her own consistent style and flow and though she tends towards nasal tones and shaky breathing it's generally stylized to match well with any given song.
Vocal; 10th ranked overall - she's not really a singer but she has decent breath control and tone location skills.
Dance; 9th (ish? You can decide where she skills place her) ranked overall - just because she doesn't get high scores in evaluations doesn't mean she's a bad dancer. When Dahee applies herself to learning choreography, she's actually able to execute the moves well but once past the halfway mark of the song, she loses energy and her movements grow sloppy. Her heavy breathing becomes obvious and if she was previously practicing the dance just before performing, there can be times where Dahee has to stop and catch her breath if it's a particularly physically demanding dance.

   say_the_name : jenny

Last Words.  Hi dude. So my 2nd character is finally done ahhh! I started her on May 26th but only got to continue it like 2 days ago omg. Thank you so much for your super helpful advice and it was really refreshing to create a new character. I was able to look into things that I haven't before and I had so much fun making her. Even if Dahee isn't chosen, I'd like to thank you for all the help you've given me in PM :) Oh also, Dahee was advised that she'll garner more sympathy if her diabetes is discovered by netizens instead of being introduced at the beginning of the show so the audience is under the impression that Dahee didn't want special treatment because she was different.

Scenes Requests.

– Dahee being paired with Tiana during a mission.
– Dahee gradually getting a reality check thorughout the course of the show that her diabetes isn't something she can just whip out to be excused.
– Dahee's cunningness emerges, encouraged by her greed to perform. You can decide how severe her actions are.
– Some rap performaces Dahee can perform??: Mad Thing + Wipe OutHere, Scary, Sad Boy, Sticky and Artist.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT DIABETES!!!

– Dahee carries around a PDM (personal diabetics manager) which basically pricks her finger and gives her a reading on her current sugar levels.
– Hypoglycemia = low blood sugar levels while hyperglycemia = high blood suagr levels.
– Dahee mostly experiences hypo and consumes a glass of orange juice and 2 oreos if she's below the ideal range. After consumption, she'll check with her PDM again. If the reading is still low, will consume another glass of orange juice and 2 oreos until she falls within the range.
– Ideal sugar level ranges:

– Before meals: 72 to 126 mg/dL
– After meals: under 162 mg/dL

Password.  I'm still not sure tbh. I just hope you pull a plot twist bigger than Jonghyun not making it to the top 11 on Produce 101 (Nation's Lader deserved better than Mnet).
