Here we have an Ambivert at it's finest. She's always been a balance between Extrovert and Introvert. For now lets start with the Sunshine that is Maya Kim.

"I may have taken the door nob of the door. I couldnt help it. I was curious. Can you pass me the screwdriver please~"
They always say curiosity killed the cat, luckily Maya isn't a cat otherwise she would be dead by now. Maya has always been a person that wants to see what makes something 'tick'. Even as a little girl she wa always getting into trouble for taking things apart and has always been a big researcher. She always has the most random facts in her head and loves to share them with anyone who'll listen. The interresting thing about Maya is the fact that she is an observer. Rather than making small talk about absolutely nothing, which she can do, she likes to spend a little time observing her surroundings and actually starting a conversation that actually has substance. Her observation skills come in handy when she's in stick situations where she would need to come up with and answer or resolution quickly. Speaking of, the girl can come up with ideas just as easy and quickly as it is to say her name. One of her most admired aspects is the fact that she can see when something isnt working and then be able to come up with something new and be able to move on without any major bumps in the road. 
Most people say that Maya's enthusiasm is infectious, and it's almost impossible to not jump on the 'happy train' with her. She can talk your ear off if you let her, she's usually not one to start the conversation but when the conversation does start she will talk your ear off. She enthusiastic about almost everything.When she really wants to do something she's going to give her all and give 110% even though that's not mathematically possible. 

"Can you please not hang over my shoulder? I can do this by myself."
Maya comes with her fair share of storm clouds as well. Maya tends to be too independent. She hates to be micro-managed and when she feels like people are helping too much she starts to get annoyed.Which is possibly on of the reasons she was a trainee for so long. What she doesnt realise is the fact that she other people;s help because she with following through with her ideas. Her practical skills are so low honestly and she needs someone to help her. Which she hates accepting.The only person who ever did this for her was her mother and they live away from each other now so there is no one to do that for her. She gets defensive quickly, which is a sad case for anyone that tries to come in between her and the people she loves. She's from a large close-nit family, so its hard for her to see the people she's used to being with often be with someone else. She's such a jealous person its sad. She hates to fall behind others and to see someone ahead of her when she knows that she could do well irks her spirt. She's not the type to act on her jealousy but she will definitely suffer in silence, not that its just super hard to pick up on. Maya has a fickle heart and wandering eye and nothing really captures her interest for very long. Which is why it's a surprise she trained for as long as she did. The reason Maya can never keep a solid boyfriend is because she gets bored so quickly, she hates entertaining conversation and would much rather be out doing something from fun. Plus she's super overdramatic, she sure knows how to turn a small issue into something large. Her quick thinking hurts her in this area, she's always overthinking things that arent even that serious.

" Sure, lets go out! Im ready to hit the town!"
"Ew, why didnt you tell me we were going out earlier. Im tired. Im not going."
Here's where her dilemma comes in at. There are times when Maya can be the most enthusiastic and most talkative in the room ,but there are moments when she wont say anything at all and would rather just listen to the conversation and jump in on the parts that interest her and then leave right afterwards. She could be the person to be making the jokes that have everyone doubling over in laughter and sometimes she cn hear a joke that everyone found funny and she wont even crack a smile.When she feels like going out, she wants to go and she will have the best time, but when she doesn't want to do that she just feels drained and the onlything she wants to do is lay in her bed and watch BIGBANG Made : The Movie and eat ramen. She also has trouble controlling her facial expressions you can always tell when she does or doesnt like something , similar to Monsta x's Hyungwon.Sometimes she can relate to being an extrover and she can relate to being an introvert. Her personality is so confusing in a nice way.

Background. 

"Mommy! Maya took apart out doll house again!"
Not every family in Korea consists of 5 Kids and 2 Parents, but if thats too common for you lets just throw in the fact that these kids were Bi-racial. With a Korean mother and an American father, Maya and her 3 other siblings didnt have the typical korean upbringing.Maya was born and raised in Daegu, South Korea alongside her four siblings. Her siblings consisted of her older brother, Aiden who was 4 years older than her, an older sister named Mina who had a 2 yeard on her, and two younger twin brothers Danny and Victor who were 4 years younger than her. Maya had middle child syndrome no doubt, she had always been somewhat destructive so any chance she got she was always taking things around the house apart. They were her thing or even the belongings of her other family members. Her family was quite large to say the least. 
One of the positives to having such a large family is the fact that she was never alone and always had and audience. Maya had loved singing and performing since she was a little girl, she would always parade around the house with a little plastic mic and sing popular korean and english songs.
In her mind her family was absolutely perfect, some people disagreed though. As a young girl maya can remember seeing people staring at her family. She didnt understand that it wasn't the most positive stare until later in life. People often made comments to Maya's mother Mi-young about her 'exotic' family. Exotic. That wouldn't have been the word Maya would have used to describe her family. 
In middle school Maya was always the center of attention, sometimes to her dismay, she was well liked among her peers but they never seemed to fail to remind her that her family wasn't like the typical korean family. She refused to let that damper her spirit, she continued to do what she loved. Sing, and at the young age of 13 she already knew what she wanted to do. That was to become an idol and debut one day and make her family proud. 
After sharing her dreams with her mother, the two actively persued companies that would accept and train Maya. After much Trial and Error, SM Entertainment was holding an audition in Daegu one weekend and despite the fact that SM was a large company and the chances of being accepted were pretty slim maya still wanted to at least have the experience. 
The day of the audition is a day Maya will never forget, she remembers endlessly practicing the night before and doing the same the next morning to warm up her vocals to the point where she coud barely speak! How was she going to audition without her voice? At this point Maya knew it was over for her, but fate had other plans. When it was her turn and she auditioned, she no doubt sounded a bit rough, luckily hear voice is generally soft so it wasn't a complete bust. It still was pretty bad though. However the representatives seemed to look past this and only saw one thing in the young girl. Beauty, they took notice of how pretty she was and they were willing to give her a slot at being a trainee.
In the next two weeks Maya's mother was notified that Maya had indeed been selected as a trainee at SM  Entertainment. The thing was, neither of them expected maya to actually be accepted. This was a huge decision for the entire family. They were always eachother's bestfriends so maya being that far away was going to be hard for all of them.
In the end Maya's parents decided that they were going to have to send Maya to seoul all alone. They couldnt afford to move their entire family to seoul, heck their entire life was in Daegu. 
Maya was scared for the transtition but she knew that she would have to make a sacrifice for her family, the same way they had been doing with her for the past year. She was terrified actually, when she heard that she would have to travel by herself she almost decided not to go but her mother soon reminded her of all the sacrifices the family has made as well as reminded her how bad she wanted to see her dream come true.All the auditions, long car rides, train money, gas money, outfits , and just time itself had been invested in Maya's dream, and maya refused to allow it to go to waste. 
By the time it was time for the 13 year old to finally leave home the only thing she could do was hug her family good by and get on the bus to seoul.
Nothing could have prepared her for the next 4 years of her life.

Dislikes.

" That is the most disgusting corner i've ever seen in my life."

♦ Dark Corners. They look creepy and she just finds them dirty.
♦ When her computer gets stains on it. However she continues to eat while on her laptop

♦ Hot Weather. She prefers when it rains, she hates being hot.

   Interview

How do you feel about being chosen to represent your label on Princess?
Maya smiles softly and dabs at the corners of her eyes that have small tears in them and says, "I cant really describe my thoughts ya know? For a while it's always been that ' Maya's too young' or 'Maya's just not ready yet' and im excited that i can get a chance to prove my talents.It feels nice to finally be recognized. I just hope that i can do my company justice and make everyone proud.Especially my family, i want to make them proud...they gave and sacrificed so much to support my dream and i really want to be able to give back to them."

Do you think you can win against the other girls?
She lets out a small laugh and grins while saying," Gosh i really hate these questions, i always feel like no matter what you say you sound either really mean and too naive. For now i will say that i have a lot of confidence in myself and my main goal is to win and that's what im hoping for."

What do you think your charm point is?
I feel like my charm would have to be my ability to think quickly and think on my feet. I honestly work better under pressure as weird as that seems. Im really good at improvising so i feel like that is something i can bring to the competition as well as any group im put in. I'm also great at connecting with other people, i feel like that could be helpful as well.

Any weaknesses you're worried about?
Practicality. Im great at coming up with ideas but i absolutely at following through with them. The only time where i can actually get anything done is when its at the very last minute, which is pathetic but it's my reaality.

Do you have any final words for the viewers?
Dear viewers. For anything weird that you may witness that i may or may not do over the course of this year please know that it was not me. It was actually my evil twin Nya doing those weird things, Not me. I would never stay up past 2 am talking to a stuffed bunny that i got- i mean nya got- when she was 5. That is all.

Im so excited for this story, like this just seems like such a good idea. Plus ive never applied for a survival show applyfic. SO this seems like fun. I hope you werent too confused by her personality. I also thought it would be nice to have a bi-racial character too. I hope you didnt mind how i made her love to sleep. Its a bit cliche, especially because of her plotline but i thought it would be a nice touch.Anyways! I hope you like Maya!
