one thing leads to another.

it always amaze me...how one thing leads to another and another,...and sometimes...you end up in a completely different world than the one you started in. isn't that amazing?

anyways...still in moonband mode...today i finally uploaded their noraebang competition among the members.

which intrigued me when i first found...bcuz they're a band n you just get to hear jmg sings n the rest play music...but here...you get each member singing a full song they picked...

what i like the most about their v live is...they're helping me to discover new songs that aren't really new literally but new to me...of course...n that led me to check original songs...but of course...i have too much of common courtesy than to go to the original singers' videos and yell 'oppar/unnir/whatever show brought me hereeeee!!!'....i don't care what you think abt it...for me, it's fking rude...end of story.lalala)

without further ado...

candidate 1 : Jo Moon Geun (vocalist/also play acoustic guitar for the band, n sometimes, percussion drums, keyboard...n whatever you need to lol)

song: The Moon of Seoul by Kim Gun Mo

candidate 2 : Lee Jae Ha (bassist, minor sing/rap part in certain songs/perfs)

song: It's Love by Mose

candidate 3 : Lee Si Yeong (drummer)

song: People Are More Beautiful Than Flowers by Ahn Chi Hwan

candidate 4 : Lee Hong Hyu (guitarist)

song: Emergency Room by Izi

The last place get a finger flick on their forehead. that's all...and damaged pride i guess...xD...although i find it unfair to have JMG competing cuz cmon....he's their vocalist for a reason...

but i must say i'm pleasantly surprised by other members' singing too.

out of the four though...i'm just going to talk about one...n what it led me to...

naturally...only one of the four songs is familiar to me...no prize for correct guess...of course it's Emergency Room. the song, i'd say quite iconic/legendary too...mostly for being memorable ost song from memorable kdrama Sassy Girl Chun Hyang...which is how i came to know the song too...

back to the perf...i actually thought honghyu did really well...despite the continuous jerky attempts from jaeha n moongeun to sabotage his perf with their distractions...haha...

anyway...this perf led me to watch the original singer's perfs...i never knew they were a band...i always thought it's a solo singer...since that's more common with ost...i assumed...(although now thinking abt it...Subway, one of my fav bands also sang main theme song for one of my fav dramas from same era with this one)

here...have a ver you probly are not familiar with...since neither did i....

this is the original ver...not the ost ver. you can hear the instruments/arrangement are a lil diff. first time listening to this and i actually find myself liking this ver better...

and a live perf from way back then...

then i also found this...

honestly i never watched sugarman n dunno what the heck it's abt since the name is kinda.....uhh...idk didn't give me any impression tbh...

but it seem from this clip...it's like...audience grouped according to their age groups...and turn on the lights if they identify with the song? this sounds nostalgic...and a heartwarming way of different generations to bond...

and the singer being in the audience...for this particular ep...sounds epic and sad at the same time...i wonder how he felt not being known/recognized at all when everyone know his song...i guess if it's me...there'd be sadness but there'd also be pride and a huge dose of overwhelming nostalgia...since it's the song that must've brought a lot of impact in his life...

even as a viewer i'm overwhelmed with emotions...(now i need to check their other songs...they're like from same generation as Subway i think n The Nuts...which are bands i love...so i have hopes for Izi's music to win me too...)

speaking of The Nuts, then i saw related vid from same show...and saw ji hyun woo in the thumbnail...so...were they gonna have ji hyun woo sing for the nuts song or what? if that's the case...someone's ready to go all rage....immediately i clicked...

omomomomo....it's The Nuts!! Park Joonshik singing!!! yessss....i actually cried a little forreal. and how the hell did he sound exactly the same as like 10 yrs before? i knew The Nuts long ago before they had a complete change in lineup while using same name n now consisted by all kids i don't even know(think Jewelry, although in jewelry at least there's transitions...) i knew them bcuz of ji hyun woo since i saw his cuts from old sitcom old miss diaries and found his awkward character so endearing that i went to check his band out the moment i knew he's from a band...i instantly fell in love with their debut song(which if not mistaken is a Japanese song remake)...the lyrics were so endearing n foolish...

you can't not love a fool like this...my heart break so much for him...the singer/song protagonist i mean...

and as much as i love ji hyun woo and know he's the visual of the band n was the main character in all their mvs...it irritated me so much that in their MVs...they even had him lipsyncing to joonshik's vocals....like what's up with that? you can just have him doing the acting part...no need to have him pretending to sing it too...ji hyunwoo does sing(mostly solo, not in the band)...but it's not like i can't tell the difference of their voices. it's really easy to tell. i hate how the vocalist is always ignored when it's largely the reason ppl are fangirling the songs...

the nuts had three notable members, the vocalist, the guitarist n the drummer...but i think during their debut they had more members...just that with member leaving the group...they didn't add new member....

this is like fate...i was just hearing one of the nuts songs the other day n thought of translating it...since it's not translated yet...n could not even be found on youtube....so yeah...it's in my to-translate/sub list...

well...since we're in 'the nuts' topic...i shall end this with this collab from The Nuts and Sei-who is possibly my fav female soloist ever....idk...10 yrs ago...she's my fav....today...i still have yet to find another that i like as much as her or if i ever did...that other person must not be as memorable for me that i can't remember. she redebuted in a girlgroup with powerful vocals/sassy songs/concept for a bit in...was it 2009 but they disbanded quite fast.

at least they didn't have a diff person lipsyncing to the singer's voice here...though the album cover is still...
