it's a pity we can't downvote comment...don't you think?....other than in our own blogs/stories...

i mean it'd be nice if at least...um...gold members can do that? tsk...yeah i'm being annoying as usual i know...asking for more perks...throw me bricks.

but while browsing for fics...i found this one really annoying comment...at a fic i came upon...

it says 'my first comment ever on this site'

and that's it...

imagine having written a story...having no comment,...and then receive a notification of getting one...feeling that excitement...that hope...

only to see this....

like...is the writer supposed to feel honoured or what....getting a comment that says 'this is my first comment on this site' -the end.

i can not fathom the significance of such a comment.

surely you have something to say about the story....even a 'i like it' would be better than that 'this is my first comment'...even if you'd argue it means the same or whatever....i'm still feeling that wtf-ness...you don't even need to pour endless worship to the story...just....sth relevant would do...

'Congrats on your first comment'?

or 'Thank you i'm so blessed to have the honour of being your first'?

i almost wanted to go reply, '...and....???' since i'm quite polite despite my annoyingness...

but yeah i'm not in the position for that...it's not like i even plan to read that fic...i was just browsing around...

the writer might be too nice anyway to give 'em a deserving downvote...

sometimes i wish i could upvote/downvote blogposts too, okay that's a little mean since it's kinda like discouraging self expression(where downvote is concerned)...but sometimes i come across good spirited blogs i don't feel like there's anything for me to comment...but more like upvoting...and then there are some blogs that feel like....scamming attempt alert aka i smell bs (dont ask, not that serious but still rollseyes at how many/easily ppl seem to fall for 'em obvious bs...)

i'm highly aware if such feature exist...my blogs have good potential to receive downvotes aplenty too...lol. since i'm annoying n being annoying is only tolerable when you have certain amount of recognition here....well, it's the same everywhere anyway...just how the world works.

but still...

 

and a confession...

i hardly check notification for blog comment replies so if i don't reply something you're hoping i would...it's not cuz i don't like your reply or find you boring or anything...it's just...at one time i didn't check the notifications n now it's all stacked up and i'm lazy to go through them anymore n sometimes when new ones come...they just get buried...and sometimes when i find them...it's already....too late n kinda missed timing to reply thing?

i'm a master at excuses. haa.
