PERSONALITY:
- Too Kind : Xian is a kind person, to the point where he cares more about the needs and wishes of others than his own. He is selfless. Some people would even take advantage of this trait of his and order him around. And Xian would do those orders like a puppet on strings. Xian knows he seems like a fool for following those people, but even if he tries to stand up for himself, it always end up being a failure.
- Shy at first impression : When you first see Xian, he would always be frowning at you as if any minute later he's going to cry. He doesn't speak much? no, he doesn't speak at all. He would always lower his head down when he sees someone he doesn't know. If you don't talk to him, he won't talk to you, as simple as that. He is not the kind of person to start a conversation with someone he just met.
- Clingy : Xian is super clingy, he would follow you around like a lost puppy if you're his friend. He would hide behind your back when he's scared and will annoyingly taps you on your shoulder if he wants to talk to you or he needs something. Always by your side and never leaves you, unless you tell him to get off.
- Childlike: As I said before, he is shy at first impression, but this will all change when you get to know him well. He would turn out to be quite the opposite, he is childish, always laughs out loud when he's having fun. Always acts like a child. Fans would usually think he is the maknae for being childish.
BACKGROUND:
Wang Xian, the only child of Wang Jinhai and Wang YanMei. In a very young age, Xian had shown a talent in dancing by performing in some contests in his neigborhood. Others say he might have gotten it from his mother who was a dancer back in her days.
Xian studied in Concordia International School Shanghai, but at the age of 15, his family moved to Daegu, Korea for business matters, so he transfered to Daegu University. In his high school, Xian can be seen to have an interest in dancing and became a part of the school's dance crew named 'Diversity'. Besides dancing, he also took taekwondo classes since he was 3, right now he is a 2nd degree black belter.
It was actually taekwondo that made him a trainee in CUBE. It happened during a national taekwondo competition in Seoul, Xian was the representative for his school. Before the competition started, a CUBE Ent. staff approached him and asked if he wanted to be an idol, he was excited of the idea, but his parents told him if he doesn't get to the semifinals they won't let him train in CUBE Ent. Fortunately, he got to the semifinals and even got 2nd place.
When Xian was training, he was added into a group of guys, which was said to be debuting in 2016. But sadly, he was pulled out the month before their said debut, because the company thought he wasn't ready and confident enough for it. Apparently, the group of guys then went on a survival show called Pentagon Maker. Fortunately, all of them debuted as a group and was then named Pentagon.
TRIVIA:
✩ Is left-handed.
✩ A fanboy of TWICE, LABOUM, GFRIEND and IOI. Has a secret crush on Somi of IOI.
✩ Is afraid of the dark and clowns.
✩ His father is a businessman in the fragrance industry, while his mother is a pediatrician and a part time yoga instructor.
✩ If he wasn't an idol, he would rather be a taekwondo instructor.
✩ Loves animals and has a hamster named Jackie, the name came from martial artist Jackie Chan, who Xian admires.
✩ Is friends with BTOB's Sungjae, B2ST's Yunhyeong, APINK's Bomi and was classmates with The8 of SEVENTEEN back in high school.
✩ Besides taekwondo, Xian also plays soccer and basketball.
✩ Current favorite song is BAP's "HURRICANE".
✩ He had been to many foreign countries such as Italy, Korea and Philippines during his summer break from school.
✩ He can cook and do the laundry.
✩ He hates it when people talk about his ears.
