Regards On Replies...

It's yo gurl, Nic--
Who clicked away after this >:)  I'm cringeworthy ik lol

So, this is a small disclaimer on me being hella slow on replies. EVEN SLOWER THAN USUAL--

IDK if y'all know, but I'm just a high school freshman and the workload is surprisingly a lot more than I expected.
Deadass, I have to turn in 5+ pages passage analyses on Romeo and Juliet each and every week, along with History HW and completing biology packets.

And if y'all don't know what passage analyses are, allow me to show you the glory, of what I have to do.
P.S, please don't steal my work or I will actually punch you because this took me at least three hours to write. And plus plagiarizing is never cool.

Passage Analysis 5

In Romeo And Juliet, Act III, Scene 5, Lines 160-162, Lord Capulet is scolding Juliet for her opposition to her and Paris being wed on Thursday. During his scolding he says, “Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!/ I tell thee what: get thee to church o’Thursday,/Or never after look me in the face.” (III.v.160-162). Lord Capulet describes Juliet as “young baggage” during his rant. Baggage is usually thought as a nuisance which slows you down, but you have to carry along with you. He is saying Juliet is being a burden because she refuses to marry Paris. He thinks that Juliet is ungrateful for being wed to a man like Paris. Juliet was failing to obey her father’s wishes of marrying Paris, which was unheard of for her time. The usage of the word “wretch” is used to describe a troubled person, which correlates to Lord Capulet’s new image of Juliet, a bratty child. If Juliet does not marry Paris on Thursday, Lord Capulet will disown her and send her out onto the streets. His personality now contrasts greatly with his mellow attitude in previous acts, such as I.ii.13-16 and I.v.63-72. Lord Capulet has turned into a hot headed man due to the tense relations between the Royal family, the Montagues, and the Capulets. His attempt at giving away his daughter to Paris is his way of getting closer to the Prince and royal blood. This adds to the theme of family bonds and loyalty. Lord Capulet’s aggressiveness towards Juliet when she refuses to marry Paris shows that he is not thinking about her at all. He wants to move up in the social classes, and if Juliet marries Paris then he will achieve that. However, Juliet is already married to Romeo and she rather die than be unloyal to her husband and marry Paris. The audience can infer due to Juliet’s relationship with Romeo will lead her to find another way around her situation. In later scenes, Friar Lawrence will help her with this dilemma and give her the coma-inducing poison in order to avoid the marriage with Paris. This further develops the audience’s understanding of Juliet’s view on this arranged marriage and the lengths she will go to stay with her love.

AND I HAVE TO DO FIVE OF THESE?! *flips a table and pulls out all of my hairs*
This one wasn't even my highest grade, and I still had to write that much. And I'd get bored after reading the first sentence.
This is why I won't become an English major in college. I already at English, IDK what was going through my mind when I chose English Honors.

Plus, I have to do a timed writing two separate quotes and IDK what quotes our teacher is gonna give us. 2 quotes. 90 minutes.
Wanna know how long that analysis took me? THREE ING HOURS
Analyzing every. Single. ing. Word. In the damn phrase. And on top of that, finding the deeper meaning behind the words by connecting how it adds to the plot, the audiences perspective, characterization, motifs, and themes.

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO TWO IN NINETY MINUTES-- *cries obnoxiously*

And plus, I have a biology test, two geometry tests, my MYP project, my Romeo and Juliet final, book annotations, and band prep because I'm going to Chicago on the 19th, coming up in the next two weeks before the quarter ends :')
I'm not crying are you--

So yeah. Because of this bull, I probably will be exxxtttreeeeemmmeellllllllyyyyyyy slow with replies, basically.
Updates, meh not so much because I've been writing whenever I didn't want to write passage analyses (when I wasn't crying over doing them)

And yeah, I get it, any upper classman or college student would probably be like "Eh, that's not that much," Then I'm sorry but this is way too much for me. Especially considering the fact that my worst subject is ENGLISH, then yes this is hard for me and I'll struggle bigtime with it.

But I'm still gonna be extra extra extra x 1,000,000 times slower now until hopefully until the beginning of April, if not then Mid-April.

Don't expect to see too much activity from me on ANYTHING. And I mean a n y t h i n g.
AFF replies, PMs, Instragram, Snapchat, Kik, LINE, KAKAO, Twitter... Any other social media platform that I use.

I won't use these as regularly (excluding Instagram b/c I post pretty daily on there, but I'm gonna be hella slow with replies) as I used to. And by 'regularly' I mean like once a day but now it's gonna be like once a week at this point--

So... Yeah. Just wanted to put that out there. Hopefully I'll be back soon and I'll still be somewhat sane and I wouldn't have lost my mind in completing bull over the course of 2ish weeks.

And until then, stay happy and healthy everyone :D
Signing off, Nic.

I am I high school sophomore and I'm so I moved to a small town with only 2 high schools lmao. Before I moved here, the work load was a lot more and I was in junior high then. But since we are "C" school, it's okay. At least for me. I'm an honors student and the most work I get is a book report (with little analysis work) an essay, some math homework, some history homework and regular studying ofc, a week. It's not all at once but like a combo of each so its very easy tbh. and we get cut slack so regular kids get more and even then, it's maintainable. I can't imagine doing that much analysis work (although my friends from my old school probably do but idk.) Our English teacher wants us to annotate and stuff but it's not required. Have strength. Standardized testing is happening around this time but luckily, there's only a few months of school left. I understand what you mean. I'm studying hard right now so I can get good ACT/SAT test scores next year and applying for summer internships, programs, etc. and the application process is so tedious. I am having trouble finishing chapters, too. What's your Snapchat?

8 more weeks until i get out of this hell hole for good
btw romeo and juliet does not live up to to what ppl hype it up to be. i love bajirao mastani bc its romeo and juliet concept but 1000000x better you should watch it when you have time and dont stress too much :) - from your fellow hs senior ♥

Wow. In Australia most schools ACTUALLY take into consideration of the workload of students especially senior students (grade 11 to 12) and try to space out assessment dates. I understand that being fresh to high school, teachers would give you tonnes of work. Thats just to reduce the workload in the senior years. For example, analysing, you'll intensively learn it in junior schooling and then come senior schooling, you'll know what to do by then and use less time analysing.
