Personality : 
Joomi, as expected from someone with a name like hers, is very boisterous and energetic especially since she grew up in a household filled with mostly boys. This is definitely one of the reasons why she is also very athletic. Another reason would be her adventurous nature, making her want to try out every sport there is in the world. In fact, it's one of the things she has put down in her bucket list she created when she was 5. But her adventurous nature has not only led her to become sporty though as this has also made her interested in mysteries and criminal cases, hence why she takes forensic science though her mother blames it on her ambitious nature instead. Due to her background in sports, she also grew to be very hardworking and competitive in everything she does, it's either all out or not at all. Most of her friends would describe her as dependable, someone they would go to when they need a mood booster or just someone to listen to as she's very optimistic and always looks on the bright side of everything, never really being upset for long.

However, because she grew up with only brothers, she's very casual with every boy she meets, often mistaking flirtation with friendliness which can be bad because she leads them on only for them to realise that she thinks of them as nothing but a friend. She tends to be very aggressive in her interactions with people without realising it and can be very reckless, often doing things on impulse. Because of this, Joomi can get very impatient often and hates to be kept waiting. This also leads her to be very disorganised and messy with her things though, something her mom always nags her about especially when she moved away and has to live in a dorm closer to school. 

Joomi is not exactly the distrusting type, especially since she's an optimistic person and in fact looks in the best side of everyone unless they do something unforgivable, but she just can't bring herself to believe in love or anybody's description of it. Her friends call her bitter because of this but since she saw first-hand how her parents drifted and seperated, she just doesn't believe that love lasts. She prefers to look for platonic relationships instead.
 
Background :

Joomi was born into an average middle-class family of six, joomi being the sixth and only girl in her parents' four children. Being the only girl and the youngest of course means that everybody in the family is extra protective of her but soon find out as she grows up that there is no need to be super protective because joomi turned out to be the personification of a flaming fireball. 

She was only six when her parents divorced but if everyone were to be completely honest with themselves, they had already seen it coming two years prior. Joomi might've been four, but she had enough of a sense to know that something was off between them what with her father coming home less often and her mother insistently changing the topic whenever it is about her father. Fast forward to when she's thirteen and finally a teen, her birthday present from her father was a younger sister from japan where her father had settled with a new family. There wasn't anything sour going on between them though and even if she was sad that they couldn't be like other normal families, she adapted accordingly and accepted the situation as it is. She even learned japanese to converse with her half-siblings, two of which were also older than her. They all got a lot well, even her mother and her father's new wife. This, of course, means that she often spends her holidays in Japan with her father and his family, sometimes with her older brothers but mostly only with one because the other two still had resentments even if they didn't admit it. She couldn't blame them though, they were after all much older than she was when her parents divorced so it probably was harder for them. 

Her brothers are gore and action movie enthusiasts so joomi has been exposed to those kind of scenes since young and has taken special interest in the forensics part whenever there is an investigation going on in the movie. This propelled her to learn more about it at her own time and sparked an interest for science. This of course meant that she eventually excelled in science and got her mind set on being a forensic scientist.

 

School wise, she's always had her eyes set on Pledis University ever since she saw it back when she was ten and visiting seoul on a family trip. She promised herself that no matter what, she will end up there and lo and behold, she really did. Pledis University is, ofcourse, not anywhere near busan so she had to move out and stay in the dorms provied by the school, not that she minds in any way. This, in fact, excited her despite knowing nobody at all and leaving everyone she knew behind. Not to mention that their forensic science was famous for being one of the best, so of course she had to go.

Family :

Older Brothers — Yoon Jisoo, Minjun and Joowon / Dance teacher (Jisoo), Architect (minjun) and Music major (joowon) / 26, 24, 22 / Jisoo is the most playful of the bunch and often labelled as the troublemaker in the family while minjun is the serious, ambitious and career driven one who often scolds jisoo on his childishness and gives joowon and joomi long lectures about setting goals for their future. Joowon is the youngest of her brothers and closest to joomi's age, and is also the most passive and innocent one. He does jisoo's bidding, listens to minjung well and helps out joomi with her homework. In short, joowon is the one everyone depends on. / Joomi is closest to joowon because of their close age but in terms of fooling around, jisoo is her partner in crime. She's not as close to minjun as she is to jisoo and joowon, but still close enough to go to him whenever she has problems and needs advice.

Mother — Park Minjung / Business Woman or Secretary / 46 / She's very much like minjun, an irony since minjun's name was derived from hers, and is very serious and career-driven but never fails to spend enough time with her kids and shower them with love though it is hard with her busy work schedule. / Joomi looks up to her mom a lot and wants to be more like her, though not exactly grow up to be her because she thinks that her mom might be a little too rigid sometimes. Minjung is closest to minjun, as expected from him being called the mini minjung since young, although she tries hard not to show any favoritism. 

Father — Yoon Junsu / Museum Director / 48 / He's very care-free and laidback compared to minjung and very charming despite his age, making him popular amongst women his age. However, he's also someone who craves for love and attention all the time, something minjung couldn't exactly give him with her busy schedule, so that is why they drifted apart and lost the spark. They are not in bad terms for the sake of the children though and are still very civil towards each other. / Joomi, being the youngest and only girl, is of course favoured by her father but he's pretty close to joowon too. No so much with Minjun and Jisoo though because they still hold a grudge against him. 

Half-Siblings — Rui, Takashi & Nayoko / Event Manager (Rui), Law Major (Takashi) / 25, 22 & 7 / Rui is the definition of a successful career woman who needs no man to back her up, takashi is quiet and typically reserved unless you're really close with him or spark his interests then he'll talk your ear off, nayoko is currently the youngest so she gets her way a lot and might be dubbed by others as a spoiled princess but everybody just really loves giving her all the love and she willingly accepts them all with no hesitation, she's a very confident child for sure. / Rui is the older sister that joomi never had so joomi was intimidated by her at first but grew to love her and look up to her the more time they spent time together, joomi often going to her for girl advices. She is not as close to takashi as she is with joowon but still reasonably close to talk about everything for hours with. Joomi is one of those who spoil nayoko most just because she has never experienced being an older sister and loves the whole idea of it.

Best friends & Dance partners — Kwon Soonyoung & Wen Junhui / Pre-Law & Dance major, Business Management & Minor in korean / 21, 21 / Soonyoung's really dependable and have a lot in common with joomi while Junhui enjoys teasing joomi frequently but would not hesitate to defend her when anybody disturbs her, her second body guard apart from seungcheol / Soonyoung and junhui were the first few people she met when she first started studying in pledis and have stuck to them ever since. They convinced her to help out with the dance team but was understanding enough when she couldn't continue being there as frequently as they want her to, but still beg her to come every now and then. They still hang out quite often.

Close Friend + Brother Figure — Choi Seungcheol / Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology / 22 / He's like junhui in a sense that he teases joomi a lot but takes care of her really well and is quite protective of her just like how an older brother would be like, not hesitating to have a mature talk with anybody who tries to disturb her in a negative way. / They met through the soccer club as sometimes the girls' and boys' teams collide and got close from there. He's very protective of her though and sometimes people mistake them for a couple. Strengths & Skills : She's very good at observing and figuring out fairly quickly the problem and coming up with a solution, especially when it comes to investigating the medical injuries a body might have, but she's very bad at anything related to maths. The only maths she's good at is counting how long a person might have had a certain illness for, and that's not even really mathematics. She's also very sporty and lively, so she can move around pretty quickly. 

Are you involved in any activities or clubs? : "I was a member of the girls' basketball team for a few months in my first year before transferring to the girls' Soccer team and becoming co-captain there. I sometimes swim with the swimming club for fun when i'm free and play competitive for the track&field when they are in need of competitive players or substitutions.

In my first year, i also helped out in the dance club when they were still short of members but eventually stopped going so often when more people joined. i still go ofcourse, with much bribery and guilt-tripping from soonyoung and jun, every now and then, sometimes to dance with them and sometimes just to watch and make soonyoung and jun happy with my presence."

Would you consider joining the new Music club? : 

"Definitely but i can't, my hands are too full with all the athletic clubs i'm involved in. Don't tell anyone but i sometimes watch over them... seungcheol caught me once and i had to bribe him to not expose me to anyone."

Do you have a part-time job? If so, where and what is your position? : "Part time at starbucks as a barista. It's quite fun messing with people and their names sometimes."

Are you currently living in a dorm room or elsewhere? : "Busan's too far, so i have no choice but to live in a dorm provided by pledis. It's cool though because i get to meet new people and have a new environment, but i do miss busan alot.."

Description of residence/dorm room : Joomi's dorm is unfortunately one of the few unfortunate ones that do not have a connected bathroom due to her choosing her dorm room late, but the toilet is quite near so it's fine for her. Her side of the room is usually quite messy so she needs a patient, neat roommate who will willingly help her clean. Her style is very chill, the type you'd see in an R&B music video. Also, expect stacks of cds of her favourite music/albums to be by her bedside.

Do you have a roommate or do you live alone? If you have a roommate, who is it and how do you feel about them? : You can also choose to have another oc as your roommate. "Yes, (any other oc!) who is very neat and tidy and doesn't mind cleaning up the room for the both of us because god knows that i can't be trusted with that."

Would you describe yourself as studious? How often do you study and where do you like to do so? : "Yes! I love to study in the dorm room, blasting music either with headphones when my roommate is around or without when my roommate is elsewhere. I don't really like studying in the company of other people because i might get distracted though honestly, people say that everything else is invisible to me when i'm focused."

How often are you in your room? : "As often as i need to study, usually it increases when exam period comes around or when projects start to stack up."

Where do you spend most of your time? : "Honestly either in the lab or in the field."

What time do you normally arrive back at your room during the week and weekends? : "Quite late since soccer practices end quite late especially when it's in season."

Love Interest

 

Name : Lee Jihoon
Back Up : Wen Junhui
Personality : He's the complete opposite of joomi and actually reminds her a lot of her brother minjun, but somehow their personalities blend well and balance out each other. He is quiet when she is loud, but gets shy easily when joomi starts to get affectionate or too close. He secretly likes it though, and he's also quite the jealous and insecure type especially since joomi is very casual with other boys. 
First Meeting : Jihoon was late to one of the music club's sessions one day, with valid reason of course, and accidentally caught her listening in on them from outside. He watches her for a while in sheer curiousity until seungcheol comes out for a quick toilet break and run into joomi. Jihoon quickly hid and listened to their conversation, finding out that this isn't the first time joomi had done this. Once joomi and seungcheol were out of the way, he made his way into the session but not forgetting joomi's face. Little does he know that part of the reason joomi listens in on them is because of him. She just loves the way he sings and plays the guitar, and finds him very soothing to listen to. 

Jihoon is intrigued by her and one day, after witnessing seungcheol interacting with joomi while they are together, asks seungcheol about joomi and so the matchmaking begins. He is, by far, the only guy that seungcheol approves of to be with joomi and though jihoon doesn't admit it he is actually pretty proud of this fact. 

Relationship & Interactions : Since joomi was already interested in him from the beginning before jihoon even knew of her existence, it wasn't long before they got friendly with each other after seungcheol introduces the both of them to each other. Joomi's bright and cheerful personality brightened up jihoon's days and jihoon's mellow and calming personality definitely helped joomi to relax whenever she is around him. They both love spending time with each other and, in no time, was inseperable. Jun and soonyoung often teased joomi about this but joomi doesn't really mind. However, joomi's view on love has still not changed and she is very hesitant when jihoon confessed to her. 

Ending : It took a few more months and a little longer for joomi to come into terms with her feelings for jihoon and to move past her supposed fear of commitment that soonyoung says she had and to adjust her view on love. And thus she does eventually accept him. 

Current Status : Dating.

Ending : Joomi finally realises her feelings for jihoon and accept the desire to be with him one day after he comforts her after a huge fight occurs within her brothers jisoo and minjun. She realises how much he has been there for her and how much she wants to be with him more and as more than friends.
