Cheerful : There's always something to be grateful of eceryday. Byul sees the good in everything and want her life to be happy. because YOLO.

humble: she doesn't like to brag, wants her friends to shine as well despite that she was the one being pushed by the company. but she would still put her group first rather than herself. 

hardworking: 30%talent 70%hardwork. if she didn't worked hard she wouldn't be able to survive in the company. she practice every day and night just to learn great vocal technique and some dance moves because of her avergae taent.

funny: she likes doing some puns, and some funny ones, sometimes she doesn't realize it, but they all just laughed and she just stayed there asking what's so funny abt her puns.

confident: she has an average talent, but her confidence made her who she is today. her audition was singing a simple song but her expression, and her confidence made her passed it.

 

chill: a very chill and yolo type of peson. if someone made a mistake to her she would always say "it's okay" or "gwenchana" which gave her the nickname. But the members loved her 'chill' attitude. Because she doesn't take a big problem seriously and solved it calmly, it gave her the chill title

creative: she's good at designing stuff, she's a great sketcher which made her quite creative in making art. she also has many ideas for events like fan meeting, fansign and concerts.

 

ignorant: her chill side made her an ignorant person. she sometimes just doesn't give a abt her surroundings. even the person whohad a crush on her kept giving her codes on how he liked her but she didn't noticed because she didn't care

introvert: she's quite closed. she doesn't tells stories to anyone. sometimes she just put on a mask in front of the person she dislikes. this made her a person who's hard to read and people see her as someone who's different inside and out.

moody: she can change from one mood to another. she may looks cheerful but at some event she can look really y. it's either because she's on her period or she's just tired. but because she's an introvert, no one knows why she's sad, she never told

captious: she may be an introvert but she talks a lot. She talks about random things (not about her life or problems) that it's so random, people things it's weird and annoying.

background.  how did their background influence them?

It was a rainy day when mother Lee came to the hospital with only her husband by her side, getting ready for the baby to come out. Surprisingly a miracle happened. Well... not that much of a miracle but the stars were shining so brightly after the rain which is also after the baby was born. They then decided that the name would be Lee Byul Bi.

Lee Byul itself means 'Goodbye' and Bi means rain. So her name has a deep meaning of saying goodbye to a rain which results a 'byul' which means star in Korean. 

she grew up to be a happy, cheerful kid with lots of love from her parents and her brother. Her parents tought her to be grateful at everything and to be as confident as she is. She was taught music by her dad and learned a lot about life from her mother.

middle school wasn't that good. She was bullied because she was close to this one guy and that she was kind enough to be the 'teacher's pet' She became an introvert person. scaredif she made a mistake on talking so she might as well don't tell anyone about her life. She learned about betrayal and made her not belive in friendship. This is why she just take every friendship not in a serious way. She just take it all as something chill. No worries. No sadness. everything is just 'gwenchana'.

During highschool, after her brother left her in Busan, she decided to follow him to Seoul and to study there. She studied well and she learned to open up again in Highschool. She became cheerful again. She often sees many kpop artist on TV. seeing many people debuted and doing music and shining on stage. She wanted that.She wanted that even more after she watched a musical theater. But she knew that she had average talent. Not the best singer, not the best dancer. but she had the best personality to be put on a television. JYP said she has an idol aura. and thus she became a trainee in JYP. Practicing hard just to ballanced up to her friends.

Byul always wanted a sister, and yet Hana was like one for her. she understands her jokes and they're both fun and talkative. (they're similar to Jackson and Bambam) plus Byul knows a lot about JPOP and they would fangirl together

stage name.  Leebyul (pronounced ee-byul, meaning this star)

trainee life.  she started training during her highschool. she had to go back and forth from school to the company to train. she even onced didn't sleep a whole day because she had a test the next day but still had to practice. She practice for singing and dancing everyday. She never did surpassed her teammates but she has the best aura to bring the group to life. she kept training and training and even some trainers told her to go home and rest, but she refused to study music from the very begining. She studied music as a hobby from her dad, but that was back when she was little. She forgot everything already, so during those days, she slowly learned every single thing about musical notes. Lucky she's a fast learner. Just like other trainees, she also wanted to learn how to make a song. She started to read some literature and it became her inspiration to write lyrics for a song. She just had one lackness and she doesn't want to practice that as well. she can't rap. After debuts, she usually only had small parts of the song
