Younghee means diving in the water and a hero. her childhood is filled with the sea and the beach which made her close enough to the water. Growing up in a family full of music, Younghee is now a music freak. both of her parents were performers in a jazz theater, so the sound of piano and saxophone with a jazz touch is like her everyday routine. when she was little, her mother always sings 'when you wish upon a star', a disney song, before she goes to sleep, and on day, she always listens to her father's disc which are the beatles, queen and other oldies music. she was born in Busan where her mother came from but then moved to Seoul when she was 10. she went to Hanlim Arts during highschool because her parents wanted her talent to grow. Younghee took the band club there.

one day, Younghee had a schedule to do a street live music with her bandmates. she was incharge of keyboards and vocal. she sang with a happy heart and her big smile singing Katy Perry's roar. she felt like someone was watching her after the performance ended. she felt weird and moved faster because she's afraid. but then the man gave her his bussiness card. and that's when she got recruited as a trainee. her trainee life was different than her daily routines. she had to learn how to dance as well. with her stiff body, she had to learn how to dance and sing and keep her voice stable. she nags a lot when she's tired and complains to herself in her room after practice, especially when the dance trainer was too naggy that day, but she usually took a deep breath and put on her head phones and listened to a jazz or clasical instrumental music.
